KidOmniManGive me a film to watch movie wizardDon’t know of anyone who talks about film the way Alexei does, so much passion and knowledge for all forms of cinema. Anyway my three films are: New Release: Nope Weekly: Punch Drunk Love Weekly: Mullholland Drive
-
MetalMeatHammerFor the love of FilmAmid the relentless wave of negativity surrounding movies these days, this podcast shines as a beacon of positivity and genuine passion for cinema. Alexei curates an impressive lineup of guests who share heartfelt reflections on their love for film, both new and nostalgic. Beyond the engaging discussions, Alexei’s thoughtful recommendations have introduced me to an array of interesting films I might never have discovered otherwise. New release: Challengers Weeklies: Blade Runner 2049 and Suspiria (2018)

GoobLikesMoviesSensei of Cinema in Full FormAlexei (and Cam, big shoutout to Cameron James) taught me how to fall in love with movies. This podcast is the ultimate conduit for exploration and discovery because of that ever present love of movies. Love listening every week and I’m gonna love listening for the rest of my life. Rental combo would be: New Release: Apollo 10 1/2: A Space Age Story because I’m a huge Linklater fan and this was a bit of an underseen gem. Great Houston movie. Weeklies: Do the Right Thing: Spike Lee is my ultimate hero and this is his masterpiece. Should be cited as the best film of all time. Stop Making Sense: I like to shake my groove thing.

Michael-Carlson-22An excellent tribute to the joys of being in a video storeI grew up in rural Minnesota so it was about 10-15 minute drive to the video store. The feeling of going to Showtime Video picking out a VHS or N64 game was unlike any other and Alexei has brought that feeling back. If I were to enter the store today my new pick would be The Holdovers, while Something Wild and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade would be my 2 weekly picks. Long live the video store and physical media!

I’ve added and watched so many movies to the old Letterboxd watchlist because of this pod! My new release: The Menu (2022, dir. Mark Mylod) My weekly’s: I Saw The Devil (2010, dir. Kim Jee-woon) Stop Making Sense (1984, dir. Jonathan Demme)

supererogatorSo many good movies I missed!Having followed all the “Finding” series, as well as many other Cam and Alexei creations, I am Loving this part of the canon. The guests have been fun, their choices I have cheered, sneered, and looked into. Thank you for all the memories and the movies I had missed. My three: New release: Pig, with Nick Cage Weekly’s: Roadside Profits with John Doe of the band X and Adam Horowitz of Beastie Boys fame. And, after listening to your chat with Charlie, about vampires, and digging up my VHS of Near Dark, I have to toss in The Hunger as I showed it to everyone in the ‘90’s who would listen. David Bowie and Catherine Deneuve were perfect. Lastly, look at Eddie and the Cruisers. I’m surprised you missed it.
-
Db524You should be listening to this Show! This is such a brilliant format to celebrate Movies, and Alexei is the perfect person for the job. My new release would be: Deadpool and Wolverine (because i guess everyone can’t pick Furiosa 🤷🏼♀️ and I like comics ) And my weekly’s would be Dogma (recovering Catholic) And Hugo

JonJSwansonGreat show, here are the movies I loveI love this show! When I want to feel inadequate about my movie knowledge I come here. I would love a movie recommendation from one Mr. Toliopoulos. My New release is Everything Everywhere All At Once My weeklies are Grand Budapest Hotel and Hot Fuzz
-
AnalogphilLove the show, one request!Alexei is one of the greatest minds in cinema and comedy. His passion, knowledge, positivity, generosity, and ability to create genuine connections are unmatched. I have one emphatic request for Alexei and the producers: please please please follow-up with the guests to confirm how stellar Alexei’s bespoke recommendations are. Alexei and his fans deserve a victory lap. Could be a season round-up. My picks: new release is Everything Everywhere All at Once, weeklies are Hamlet 2 and American Psycho.
-
$heikWould Love a Staff Pick!I love Alexei’s insightful movie perspectives! The premise of the series is amazing and Alexei is a great host and interviewer. He doesn’t need a gimmick like hot wings to hold the conversation. Also, I’m waiting for the return of Zach Ruane for his rockstar shift (aka Tarantino). My new release pick is Kneecap (2024) and my weekly’s are Fury Road (2015) and The Prestige (2006). P.S. love you too Alex Jae and I’m a cinemate as well ❤️
-
Mystery SantanaNew MemberHi, new member Paul here! I’ve heard great things about this video store from my favorite people, Cameron James and Angela White! I’ve watched at least 1 movie from every episode and it’s a real treat. Alexei, brother, if you have a pick I’ll not rent but buy it from your fine store. New Release - Weathering with You Weeklies - Tron: Legacy - Iron Man

-
dhdhfdhdhdhBest Duo for Pop CultureMy wife and I live in rural Virginia, and this is by far the best podcast we listen to. Amazing film knowledge and critiques, hilarious chemistry between the two. Finding Drago and Finding Desperado were amazing too. We love Cam and Alexei! Keep up the amazing work.
-
kknettoThese joy boys are my favorite duo.I’m in a bit of bliss listening to them banter. They know their stuff and are F U N N Y. Fun fun fun.
-
Braeden, HostLove the new format; everything they touch is goldThe best boys. They are NOT generated by AI. Why would you even think that. The new format is great. I will miss the movie of the week format from them which really reignited my love of cinema. But there are other podcasts for that. Special Features is perhaps more exciting because they get to follow their whims down little rabbit holes and it makes each week a fun surprise.
-
sheabird92Are these my new best friends??I think that’s how this works
-
Bo ChillaObnoxious banterI’ve listened to many movie podcasts, and this one was by far, the absolute worst. Don’t waste your time.
-
Jmrn19Funny, sexy and cool.A wonderful time anytime every time. Two cinephiles dive into the world of cinema and carefully digest the movie for us, the listeners. You’ll learn a thing or two about movies here. Always something new, always something special.

-
evan_f_91Just a fun listenI haven’t seen most of these movies but these freakin dudes make me laugh my butt off, baby
-
Colby ParkThe only podcast about movies on the internet.Listening to Alexi and Cam continually misunderstand the difference between undigested and digested food in the Invisible Man episodes was infuriating. 5 Stars!
-
Jeremie ArtThe best and only podcast about film. You guys are always killing it with the podcasts. Like king Midas himself, every thing you touch turns to gold. And we all know how much you love gold. Who doesn't? Am i right? Anyways, I would suggest you review ‘cape fear’ i never saw the original, but the remake is right up your alley. Theres also the Simpsons sideshow Bob episode that is a riff on the film. Keep em comin!
-

Té NickersonGlad I found it!As a black cinephile, I’m so glad I found this podcast while just looking for a new podcast to add to my already packed list of weekly podcast I listen to. It’s so refreshing to hear people like me talk about the things I love. I highly recommend you watch the cinematic masterpiece that is, “Dirty Laundry” starring the always lovely Loretta Devine. It’s an already bad piece on cinema that has definitely not aged well. Thanks for making this great podcast ✊🏾
-
AndrianacondaTwo hilarious jungle babiesThese two are so funny, I got into this after a friend recommended Finding Drago and I was hooked. They are so quick witted and silly that I’ll be laughing out loud on the metro making me fit in with the rest of the DC metro community. Guys if you are reading this I recommend Zardoz for a reboot, except this time it has to make sense (plus it would be nice if you could get Sean Connery back for a cameo). Cheers!
-
Todd NoyQuality! My friend recommended me to listen to “Finding Drago” and immediately felt cherished. Finally there is a great movie review podcast out here with a twist of comedy. I grew up watching “Mystery Science Theater” and was wondering if you guys have watched it? If not I recommend it to you guys and thought you two would be perfect to start your own similar to it.
-
danielinthestatesFive starsGood stuff.

notoriousbarbzThis podcast has got the VVFBeen looking for a great podcast and I finally found the only one on the internet about movies
-
ZareganGreat podcast from two guys who genuinely love moviesThis is one of my new favorite podcast after I found it I've spent the past couple days just going back and listening to all their old episodes. You can really tell that both of these guys love and understand films. They are also really funny guys who keep conversations interesting even if you haven't seen the movies they talking about. Cameron and Alexei if you guys are reading this thanks for all the laughs and great discussion. If you want any film suggestions I highly recommend Sicario and Wind River.
-
