People Are the Worst is the true crime podcast I didn’t know I desperately needed. It’s like Dateline had a baby with your sarcastic best friend who’s been secretly judging everyone at the family barbecue. The hosts break down horrifying crimes with equal parts wit, disbelief, and “can you believe this idiot?” energy. But what truly makes this show elite? They regularly drop Billy Madison quotes like it’s still 1995—and I LIVE for it. There’s nothing like hearing about a murder plot followed by “Today, Junior!” or “You get nothing! You lose! Good day, sir!” (okay that one's Willy Wonka, but you get the vibe). It’s the weird little comfort blanket I didn’t know I needed while learning about people at their absolute worst. Highly recommended for anyone who wants their True Crime with a side of sass, their justice served hot, and their 90s nostalgia fully satisfied.

I’m writing this as I accidentally started listening to Kay Parsons again (never put that I played it). I went back and started listening from the beginning. I couldn’t care less about listening to other podcasts. You two are the best!! I have no clue who is who, just sounds like one person talking to themselves. Haha. Anyway, the giggles make ME giggle. It makes it easier to listen to! I love the commentary and I tell EVERYONE to listen. My only complaint is I don’t like the middle finger but want your merch!! Can you make some without it? I love how they choose cases that aren’t well known. They are thorough in explaining the case and you can tell they do their research.

My own twin sister turned me on to this podcast, so I started in the middle. I recently went back to the beginning to hear the progression. I think I would’ve loved it from the beginning but you both have definitely improved over the years. Love the shorter podcasts and the twisty stories. You both crack me up and I love all the extra commentary.

I just love these two! The stories are short enough to keep your attention, but info packed. Plus you get the added bonus of their humor sprinkled in. I normally dislike pods with hosts talking back and forth but this just feels like hanging out with my two besties. Keep up the good work ladies!

I honestly can not say enough about these two gals. They are funny, down to earth, and brutally honest. They are saying what we are all thinking when we watch a crime documentary. I randomly found their podcast while scrolling. I didn’t even read the description , I truly clicked on it because I’m always saying “people are the worst.” Just proves that sometimes you find that hidden gem when you least expect it. For me this is a must listen, and I’ve been telling everyone I know to listen too. They do an amazing job summing up all the cases without all the repeating of info like the tv shows do. They do all the research and answer the off the wall questions we are all wondering about. It’s genuinely like you are sitting around chatting with friends. Keep it up girls you are fab!

I saw one of your TikTok’s in November about Adam Lane. I immediately found your podcast and listened to the whole story and a bunch of others during my Christmas travels. A week or so ago I started with episode one - it’s what I listen to when I getting ready for work, instead of doom scrolling TikTok! I’ve struggled morally with the idea of true crime podcasts. Until now, all of the podcasts I’ve heard have hosts that seem to make fun of or belittle victims and their families. I absolutely love that you two make fun of a belittle the suspects, they deserve all of the hate! I also appreciate how quick you are to correct yourself. There was one episode where the guy that seemed good for the crime ended up being innocent, you both turned it around and expressed remorse for jumping to conclusions and making fun of the innocent guy. It just feels different listening to you two than others!

By far the best true crime podcast ever. These ladies crack me up and relieve my stress on a daily basis. Never thought I’d be a Patreon member … but this was an easy decision. People are the worst, but Rebecca and Rachael are THE BEST!
