mamarunner22Missing episodes!!I just found this podcast and am super excited to have new insight for my ttc journey, but almost every time I go to the show page it shows NO EPISODES! There’s nothing at all! Even though a few times it has let me see the episode list and I know there are over 540 episodes. This app keeps removing all of the episodes every other time I open the app. I can’t listen to them or save them or anything. I tried contacting apple podcasts about this but I haven’t heard anything! Please fix your show so I can listen to your episodes!!!!!!!!!!

taymarie88What an amazing podcast.I found this podcast when I went searching for information on menstrual cycles during the post partum period. After hitting the year mark of my daughter being born, I still didn’t have my cycle back and I couldn’t find any information on when I could expect it to return. But I certainly wanted to know some things to look out for so we didn’t get pregnant again just yet. Then I stumbled upon Fertility Friday. And man, what a mountain of amazing information. And her book! I tell all women about it because it is such a great read. Lisa’s sense of humor makes it all the better, too. I feel so good having more knowledge on these subjects, and I am excited to be able to pass this along to my daughter and future children when they are older. It is time we take our fertility into our own hands, whether or not for conception. If we had this knowledge sooner in life, imagine the health issues we could have avoided. Thank you for the wonderful podcast platform and the amazing book.

JoJo 2954This Podcast and Lisa has changed my life!Could not recommend this podcast enough!! She is so knowledgeable and everyone should know this information about our bodies.

emahegNot worth the riskSome of it is good. Some of it is very poorly researched. This goes for Lisa Hendrickson Jack’s book as well. There are studies cited but they are a small sample size, poorly conducted or misused in the text. Lisa is clearly very anti the Pill and that’s a valid position to take. Just back it up with decent science rather than turning yourself in knots to support your own biases. I write in the areas of FAM and fertility and I don’t recommend Lisa’s work without caveats anymore. It’s really a shame. But when you see the alt right using information that Lisa has strongly promoted, you have to start to wonder where they got it. It gives me pause. All in all, its not totally bad but I don’t find it worthwhile to risk hearing bad research and dogmatic thinking. Also when you look at TERF podcasts (which I do for research) this is now also recommended. So. 🤷

NerdiusEvery girl and women should utilize this!Listen to this podcast! Amazing help for girls and women of all ages to understand their bodies!

Mand491321AwesomeAwesome podcast! Lots of helpful information.

beth oehnAlways filled with insight! This episode is an eye-opener! Lisa dives into the unspoken truths about using fertility awareness for birth control. It's a refreshingly honest take on why it works for some and not for others. If you're curious about this method, don't miss it. It's like a candid chat with a friend who tells it like it is!

Badgers momOBSESSEDI love this podcast so much. Very insightful and I can’t recommend to my clients.
-
vanessalgreenSo informative!!!Helps women understand, optimize and use their cycle as necessary for whatever stage they are in their life!

@toad.and.cakeWish she would try at all to help vegetarians and vegansMostly Great info but she treats vegetarianism and veganism like they are eating disorders….
-
antifa4evaGreat show, but hosts a transphobic guestI absolutely adore you LHJ! And maybe you will be as surprised as I was to know that Jennifer Mercier (your guest on three episodes) is openly transphobic, posts hate speech on her Instagram and then deletes the comments that are critical and blocks the people who commented. Listeners please be aware that Jennifer Mercier is not a safe provider for LGBTQI community. She may be talented at abdominal massage but she is a religious wingnut, possibly a climate change denier, and is also taking Ivermectin for long COVID, lol. Watch her reels on Instagram to get a look for yourself. Lisa, we love you, but please do not invite this hateful person back on the show. We have heard enough from her.

AshleyRippA must for all women!I have learned more about my menstrual cycle and how the female body works from this podcast than I have from any Gyno or health class in the past. Lisa is an amazing, eloquent and approachable host. She talks about super important topics with her guests and the conversations are always interesting and caring. I could gush on and on but I will just say that I feel so empowered now using the Fertility Awareness method and charting my cycle and I have been able to see things more clearly in terms of what’s happening in my body and connecting some important pieces. Thank you for all that you do, Lisa. Definitely recommend to any woman!

fhurixbrbfjUterine Cancer Rising & Birth ControlLisa- I have gleaned so much knowledge and academic curiosity because of your show over the last 4 years! You are 100% right! Us women have the privilege of knowing how our 5th vital sign reveals our health, and your deep dive approach is so needed! I recently read a NYT article, “Uterine Cancer is Rapidly Rising, Especially Among Black Women” on 18 June 2022. What astounds me is that there is no attempt to explain WHY, but my immediate thought is birth control. Most of these women are 50-60, making it easy to presume that they’ve have access to birth control since their teenage and early 20s. Could there be a connection? Have you been able to discuss long term effects of birth control on the uterus with gynecologists? Birth control continues to be the “answer” for young women, even as young as 12! Is this really the answer if artificial hormones are wreaking havoc on our bodies? I look forward to your response and appreciate your work!

Kim M82So informativeI have been charting for 12 years. I love learning from y’all. I believe charting has helped me learn more about my body and helped me and my husband through my fertility. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

Katelena323IG giveaway entry @heals.n.feelsGreat episode! I would love to hear some insight about women with thyroid and parathyroid dis regulation which can really pack on a lot of weight and inflammation quite rapidly because of the haywire hormones. I’d love to dive into the topic of non alcoholic fatty liver disease in women. I’d love a podcast on Casein. I did some functional testing that determined casein / dairy is inflammatory to my neurological system and brain. There are a lot of benefits so I’d be interested to learn more! Instagram giveaway entry @heals.n.feels

RunningDentist95Wish I found this podcast earlier!!Currently starting from the beginning (I wish iTunes still had the earliest episodes up) and binging all the way through - I wish I found this podcast years ago!! I feel like I’m learning so much and there hasn’t been an episode I don’t like. I like the mix of one-on-one client sessions and then interviews with experts. I think every woman should listen to this podcast to learn more about their cycles and fertility.
-
FollefemmeLearning so much!I am currently taking your self study course and found your podcast while looking for a podcast on egg donation because of the fertility issues I am trying to heal. I have learned a great deal I wish I had known when I was younger, but grateful to have and share this information now. Thank you and your guests!
-
Shinay TredeauI Love Episode 344Thank you to your husband, his voice and perspective were great to hear. And it was so fun to hear you two together! XX
-
whyareyouonlyonitunesYawwwnCmon Lisa stop beating around the bush and being polite like a cliche politically correct Canadian.
-
SZipporahGratefulI am so grateful for Lisa’s voice in the conversation about fertility awareness!
-
jeannehareEpisode 351I’ve loved the podcast for a while, but I was sooo excited to hear today’s interview tying together cycle charting, hormonal health, and whole health (including specifically MS)! I’ve been interested in learning more about these links- I have MS and have been charting for birth control but I know there is also a strong hormonal component with MS. I’ve been wanting to explore ways to use charting to optimize hormones for that reason as well as for reliable birth control; doctors pressure HC due to MS drug dangers for pregnancy, and also say that HC are tied to better long term outcomes for women with MS. So fascinating, and empowering! 💪🏽
-
Z ReedEpisode #255 !!Episode #255 with Jolene Brighten was incredible and a must listen for all! So much information on the body, medical professionals and overall support for knowing and understanding your body. No one else knows YOU better than YOU!
-
AjesshammerExcellent, powerful and comprehensiveI’ve listened to almost every single show and The Wisdom of Menopause is one of my all time favorites. What a beautiful episode and Alexandra’s explanation of menopause is both straightforward and lyrical, deeply spiritual and hilarious. Thank you for this! Will you also interview Susan P Mattern who wrote the excellent book about menopause titled “The Slow Moon Climbs?”
-
CoriJuniperWomen’s wisdomLisa‘s conversations with guests are so insightful. She asked really good questions and the most amazing conversations always seem to happen!
-
eunijoSo much helpful informationI don’t listen to every episode, because they cover a wide range of topics and some of them simply aren’t useful to me, but I have learned so much from this podcast. Beyond the helpful information about periods, cycles, and fertility, there’s a deeper message: you own your body, and you deserve to understand it. I wish every woman would have a chance to listen to this podcast before going on hormonal birth control. It’s appalling to me how many women don’t realize that they can only get pregnant a few days out of every month. Whether you’re trying to get pregnant, want to use fertility awareness as your primary method of birth control, or just want to know a little more about your body, this podcast has something for you.
-
AligaydFirst TimerI love the content.
-
brittanireneeInvaluable ResourceThanks to Lisa and her infinite wisdom on the topic of the menstrual cycle (and women’s health in general) I’ve made some impactful changes in my life. One of the first episodes I listened to was about birth control and the effects (mostly negative) it has on our bodies. I was wanting to start preparing for pregnancy even though it was at least a few years out. I’ve come back to this podcast for advice and guidance multiple times, she has guests on the podcast that are also very knowledgeable. She also approaches the subject without judgement or bias and really thinks about the best interest of her listeners. Thanks Lisa for all the advice and everything you do for women out there!
-
peacock05A perfect balance of natural and medically based info for womenCan’t thank you enough for the advice and information from you and your guest speakers. I am a woman over the age of 30 with endometriosis and currently trying to conceive. So many of your topics have helped me start my journey for natural, homeopathic, holistic and spiritual approach. I do believe in western medicine but also believe it’s a happy balance of other approaches. So thank you so very much. Ps, your soothing voice makes your podcast such a delight to listen to.
-
jnnttlzbthLearning so muchI've been familiar with and successful at charting for a few years now, but this podcast goes so far beyond that. Lisa is such a skilled podcaster and explores so many topics related to women's health in a relatable way. Knowledge truly is power!
-
sequoia227Life uchangingI was incredibly ignorant about my own reproductive/overall health until my body confronted me loudly and clearly. So much to unlearn and challenge just in cultural attitudes about women’s health alone, this podcast is as gentle and grounding as it is shocking and empowering.
-
Miajm06Amazing resource!I found this podcast during COVID-19. I’ve been home a lot more and listening to podcasts while cleaning and doing household tasks. I have a copper IUD and have always wanted non-hormonal birth control because of previous experience on hormonal birth control. This podcast has been an invaluable resource as I make decisions with my primary health care provider and If FAM is right for me. As Lisa says often we have to demand better for ourselves! I’m passionate about finding the root cause and medicine is not always the answer. Medicine and science are amazing tools but learning to listening to our bodies is even more important. Thank you for this podcast! I look forward to it every week!
-
Karen and Lola dogAnswers all your questionsI came across this podcast when the thought popped into my head to say goodbye to HC. I listened to one episode and have been off for 23 days. I’m excited to get my first real period after 14 years and feel completely confident after having Lisa, her podcast, charting workbook and her book for support. Thank you for doing what you do!
-
AECCJC89This podcast will change your life!I’ve learned so much through this podcast. There is information on every aspect of women’s health. I agree that all women should listen to this. I’ve been trying to conceive for 14 months. My doctors have disregarded all of my concerns about my cycle. This podcast is giving me the answers I’ve been searching for for so long!! And Lisa guides her guests so well, so that we can learn all the valuable information they have!
-
SaraMC1990Love this podcastI highly recommend to all 💜 This is an incredible podcast that has helped me so through much all while educating me!
-
JstracheGreat for all women!I recommend this show for all women, whether you are trying to conceive or not. I’ve learned so much about how my hormones and cycles work and I love this approach. Highly recommend!
-
Emily.431Real, honest, and helpfulI listened to a bunch of different fertility focused podcasts after being diagnosed with a hormone condition and this is the only one I’ve stuck with. I enjoy the mix of expert interviews and stories from real women being coached through fertility awareness. Lisa has given me lots of ideas for my own natural family planning business and for my podcast. She is an inspiration!
-
EKG808Very InformativeThis podcast is super informative and empowering to listen to. As a 33 year old trying to conceive for the first time, I’m feeling more and more confident about my body and ability to make a baby. thank you so much!
-
GraceRachelMy favorite podcastI am new to the world of charting (this is my first charting cycle!), and I cannot explain how valuable this podcast has been to me. I look forward to every episode, not only because I love learning new information, but because it feels like talking to an old friend! The FAM community is wonderful and supportive and Lisa is an amazing!
-
RachelLWSLisa is the best! This podcast has been instrumental for me transitioning off birth control and taking charge of my female health. I really can’t recommend it enough for any woman!
-
PartypartytimeExcellent information and deliveryThis podcast has paved the way for my hormonal wellbeing and subsequent quitting and transitioning from hormonal contraceptives to using FAM to avoid pregnancy, I’m so grateful to have found it. If you are curious about hormones, fertility, or even just overall health this podcast is for you, just five right in. Lisa’s book is also a must-read for anyone with a uterus!
-
emeps710My new favorite podcastSince I’ve decided to come off hormones, I’ve been looking for as much information as I can acquire regarding FAM. Lisa and her guest speakers provide the answers to every single question I could possibly think of. Her workbook is also such a great resource. I’m so thankful for her for doing the work to make this transition easier for me!
-
BarbmikeusersThanks LisaI’ve been a listener for a long time and started charting my cycles through a blend of listening to the podcasts and doing outside research. I’ve been charting for two years and this information helped me to get pregnant when I was ready to try! I’m so thankful!! Lisa’s podcasts go really in depth and give information I never got as a young woman. Lisa selects her guests with care and asks probing questions so that listeners get really good information. From listening for a couple of years now, I really feel like Lisa cares about women and cares that they have important and accurate knowledge about their menstrual cycles and fertility, which in today’s confusing and media-filled worId, is so valuable. If you’re in a place where you want or need to know more about your body, to take more action for your fertility, and/or contraception choices, listen to the podcasts!
-
cdygdghiInformative...BUTWonderfully informative. Lisa is a really good interviewer with insightful topics. However, many of her listeners like me are patients of NaPro doctors, who are pro life. As a very pro life person myself, I’m disappointed with the amount of podcasts focusing on abortion. It would be nice if Lisa would at least offer a pro life perspective here and there...even maybe interviewing a former abortionist who has become pro life.
-
aucklpJust ok so farI made it 20 minutes into ep 242 and can’t get past the awkward laughter. She’ll say a sentence and then chuckle and I’m like, what was funny about that?? It comes off to me as her being uncomfortable talking about things like “improving sperm quality.” Sad because I think the topics are really informative. Going to give it another try and hope all episodes aren’t like this!
-
collegewifeVery informative!I love this podcast! It’s very informative and makes me as a woman not feel alone.I’m a new listener, but what I would like to hear is with some episodes have a doctor that’s willing to come on and speak to these subjects. Only reason would like that is because some of these stories I’m hearing I’ve brought up to my doctor and they ALWAYS have something to say to refute validity. Keep doing what your doing!:)
-
;:?!Just discovered her and it’s life changingI have learned more this past week from her podcast about women’s health than I learned all my life in school and through the internet (let’s be real, we all google things) Her podcast gave me the confidence to finally stop taking birth control, after I suspected some side effects but couldn’t find solid information about this online. Very appreciative of her and The knowledge she gives us!
-
Brokke V.Almost too good to be true! This is currently my all time favorite podcast. The information given is so good it shouldn’t be free! Lisa is so intentional and I love everything she brings to the table. I’ve learned so much and I’m slowly introducing the podcast and ideas to those who will listen. This podcast has changed lives and I can only wish to be the influence on women Lisa and her guests have been. THANK YOU!
-
Hilltopper24Good OverallThis podcast has been very helpful with learning about womens’ cycles. It also fits in with the real food movement and gut health which is important. Lisa does a good job but I do think some simple things are over explained but maybe others need that. I hope Lisa will work on asking clear and concise questions. Her questions are good and legitimate but she sometimes has difficulty conveying the question clearly. She tends to elaborate unnecessarily on her question before the guest speaks. But with that said, it is a very good podcast and has been very helpful in my health journey because the guests have mentioned a ton of (free) resources. You CAN teach yourself FAM without paying for it. It isn’t recommended if you’re trying to avoid pregnancy because it can be confusing but it is totally doable. You have to dig but the info is on the web regarding BBT charts, the color codes, and the abbreviations. Purchase Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler. (Buy a used copy from Amazon for cheap!) It is like the women’s encyclopedia and use it with this podcast. Welcome to your body, ladies!
