    Refreshing
I came to this podcast not really seeking for relationship advice (growing up in the church I’ve listened to enough of that) but just wanting to hear your story of how you met. Just listened to the first episode and was blown away with how I was able to hear the advice I needed to hear in a way that I felt seen and understood as a single person. Thank you so much for making this podcast ❤️

    Raw heartwarmingly funny
Love the openness these two have with their relationship. Very encouraging and uplifting to see them be so open about struggles and things they felt they did wrong or right.

    Love love love!!!
I think I listened to all of these podcasts in one day because I just couldn’t stop listening. Listening to your story, hearing you both get so real with each other about your relationship helped me so much. There were so many similarities I saw in my life that you both had shared. Thank you for sharing the details of your relationship for us to hear, this really did change my heart. Also, I check every day to see if more episodes are coming out and I hope they are soon!!! Such a great podcast.

This is wonderful and such a blessing! 😇
Thank you both so very much and bless you 🙏🏻✝️ I listened to all 3 and totally related to looking at my husband for love and acceptance instead of my Heavenly Father and before him I did with others. I relate to the dark place and feeling lonely asking Jesus please help me. Opposite of what you prayed for. But still the same darkness and loneliness but I too had a toxic relationship with my parents unfortunately still do. I agree Moriah about just needing my husband to hug me and snuggle with me just to feel each other’s comfort bond and human touch. And unfortunately I tend to respond to fear as Joel does but my husband is opposite like you Moriah. Opposites attract but compliment each other thru God and both of Faith. *****Update wow episode 4 REALLY associate with and in that season now. Congratulations on your new podcast it’s very genuine and inspiring and emotional but so encouraging and so helpful. Jen 💜 PS Please keep this going please so very very raw and not dramatic but reality! ”Amen” Wow updated again each episode is eye opening and I am learning so much but also relating to a lot of the emotions felt. Exceptional podcast and journey thank you so very much for opening up yourselves so honestly and please know how many you are reaching thru it. 2 UPDATE Now I finished the first season and last episode oh my goodness the listening about and writing each other needs then taking them to God to pray for each other amazing! You both I cannot articulate or say enough how important this is for couples and I so admire your honesty and sharing your raw moments with us because honestly looking at y’all and not knowing you personally I would have never ever thought of y’all being so normal no offense or having these seasons that I can do relate to! This is a blessing to anyone married. Thank you so very very much!!! God Bless you always.

Loved, best podcast of some of the podcasts I’ve listened to so far
It’s about marriage but also just relationships. They aren’t simply romanticizing their story, but talk about the real, bumbling stumbling awkwardness of it all and the messy, I’m-hurting & those not-so-beautiful-parts-because-I’ve-done-you-wrong of it. But in many ways, it’s also redemptive in hearing them talk through their reflections. They recognize the unfolding of their story in coming together is not something to be romanticized but to be realized as a relationship with its complexities and messiness because we’re all sinful humans in need of the guidance and counseling and love and forgiveness of our Savior and God, even at our best and well-intentioned. Thankful for the insight and the hard conversations of tapping into some of these fundamentals and truths of the push and pull of relationships. Those lessons gleaned from listening and watching, I’m sure, will be applied in my life. Shout out to Ep 5 (probably one of the best episodes of this first season IMO) for addressing those of us in the minority! Looking forward to Season 2.

    So funny and beautiful 🥺
As a teenage girl soon becoming 20 and going to college, I found Moriah’s story encouraging and relatable. This show is also so funny and their love story is the most beautiful thing! It makes me excited and hopeful for love :)

I tried this podcast just to try it out. Little did I know it would help me work through some fear that I have in my life in this season. Thank you
  • fitbit is cool
    Read this!!!! Joel and Moriah!!!!
The reviews never stop and I know why! You two are adorable! You set an example for future generations and how they should live their life with Jesus. A relationship is between three people. Husband. Wife. And Jesus! I love your motivation to spread His name to all kinds of people. Thank you for putting this podcast out there for us to listen too! I love your example for Him. Keep on keeping on. Serving Jesus!

    Great podcast
I’ve got to say I really enjoyed that they share the fact how vulnerable everybody can be in a relationship. I’ve been married for over 30 years and I’ve it’s not easy to deal with the same one day in and day out especially when it seems like you’re on polar opposite somedays. It Provided perspective into having grace and gratitude with the ones you love and try to hang in there and work things out.

    Loving One Another
I really enjoy this podcast. Thank you for sharing your lives with us. I’m 59 years old. I didn’t know Jesus when I got married. I met him 9 years later. He changed my family’s trajectory and saved our marriage. This gives a glimpse into the life of two people both putting God as their foundation and choosing to love and care for their partner while caring for their self in healthy ways. Funny, sweet and lots of ideas to glean for caring for each other.
  • Snj922

    Ep5: Married
Thank you Joel for the shout out to MN! I was part of the security at Sonshine, specifically at the autograph table😆I look back at that moment so fondly! I wasn’t sure why Moriah had the bandaid on her chin, but now I get it🤩both of you were so sweet and so apologetic about Luke not being there. But it was wonderful to see the love you both share with each other; just the way you looked at each other was amazing! Great podcast I absolutely love it!
  • jessica in kingman

Speaking on things not talked about
I can’t explain how amazing and encouraging this podcast has been! People really don’t talk about these things enough and hearing that others have gone through seasons of loneliness, jealousy, etc has been a blessing. I love how you were able share how you overcame those trials with God by your side! Thank you

    Youth and love
Your story resonated with me not in the terms of myself but my children. I have a 20 year old and almost 17 year old and neither of them want to date. My husband and I have been married 24 years and I think they are waiting for a perfect love like you spoke about. I hope they come to the same realization that perfect love doesn’t mean fully perfect circumstances. ❤️
  • elenanachbar
    Absolutely love!!
Thank you guys for mentioning and discussing things that most people don’t want to or feel the need to talk about!

  • Queen Jane Approximately
    Nourishing, encouraging, inspiring
You two are a beautiful and gracious couple. (I know this because I ran into you at Juice Bar a couple of years ago.) The thing about fame is that it automatically bestows upon us regular folks the idea that the lives of the famous are without blemish. Admittedly, that gave me pause when I heard about the podcast: “oh boy...can’t wait to hear about all the perfection...” Suffice to say I drove the entirety of Split Log Road *twice* today just so I didn’t have to tap the pause button. Heartfelt thanks to you both for your candor, humor, vulnerability, and encouragement. It’s so wonderful to know that there are other husband-and-wife teams out there who are in full pursuit of Jesus’s purpose for their life together. I love and cherish my marriage, and I’m inspired to love and cherish it even more. ❤️❤️❤️

    So lovely. ❤️
Loving this podcast. It’s so fun and lovely. I really love hearing their story. I’ve been married for 18 years and I can relate to this so very much. It’s nice to hear a similar story. I felt the same way with my husband as Moriah in the beginning of my own relationship. I prayed all of the time. Can’t wait to hear more! You two are so fun to listen to!

    So Raw and Real
I love them! So honest and passionate with expressing what was really going through their minds. So humble in sharing their process and their personal experiences, and chill too, like we’re at coffee with them. ☺️

    Engaging and authentic!
The way in which they share their story left me wanting to hear more. Their honesty is so endearing! Most importantly, their story points to the Lord.

This is so timely. I grew up in the church and it wasn’t till last year that I realize I had en expectation of perfection for love and marriage. I thought it was something for other people and that there was no way I could take part. I resonate with the feelings that Moriah is reading from her journal. Man, I can’t wait for the next episode!!

    Like listening to my friends...
Thank you so much for taking the time to create this podcast. Listening and watching you both truly feels like I’m listening to a couple of my friends share their story. Most importantly, God is part of the conversation, which makes the interaction feel so honest. Look forward to the next episode. ❤️

    Great story, enjoyed the podcast
Very humbling of Joel to play the audio files. My husband called me Rhonda the night we first met. That was one of my friends I was hanging out with. 34 years later, it’s all worked out! Enjoyed your story so far.

So excited to hear more and more!! Made me smile... I felt like a teenager being all giddy listening to this and picturing y’all meeting for the first time .. and cannot wait to learn more about your love story and how God has directed your life’s. Grateful for realness
Thank you for sharing the awkward that most of us went through. Thought that came from the end discussion is a visual lesson I learned about marriage. If you put your two hands together with all your fingers lining up, symbolically representing all the ways you are similar, thinking that’s what makes up a good marriage, if someone tries to pull your hands apart there is not much resistance. Whereas if your fingers go between the fingers of the other hand representing your different strengths, and you curl your fingers over the other hand, the resistance to being pulled apart is immeasurable. Celebrate and be grateful for the strengths you each have. Christie Married 25+ years with 6 kids

Jesus and Marriage are my rock
For King and Country is one of my favorite Christian groups, so I thought I would give the podcast a chance. I was hesitant because I am a fabulous middle aged woman 😜who’s been married 27 years, and thought “what can I gain from listening to this newly married couple?” As I listened to the podcast, I laughed and thought of my own sweetheart, and our first awkward moments in dating. I thought of our own struggles and challenges that we faced together over the last 27 years. I thought of how far we have come together in our relationship with God. I especially enjoyed the scripture reference and the closing 🙏 prayer in your podcast. I felt enlightened, uplifted, and strengthen in my testimony on marriage after listening. I love being married to my best friend! I love that we have learned over the years that if we put God first, we become better spouses. Thank you so much for the reminder and for making my day a little brighter!

    So amazing, period.
So hilarious and heartbreaking. I love this band and love the relationship! Go Moriah and Joel!
