LumpySPLove it and finally something about djinnNot a lot is told about djinn in European and western area it seems, so this is great to know about the origin and stories. Love her voice too, very easy on the ears.
-
Angelw2babiesGreat show!Really interesting pod. I, like many , only knew of the “ westernized “ view of the Djinn.

The GreenFairyMost Interesting! This pod is so fascinating and informative! Learning about the cultures that believe in the djinn and their historical background in fact and folklore is captivating listening! Hosts voice is calm and soothing yet holds the listeners interest. SpiderWomanCAWonderful!I was so excited when I discovered this oodcast! While in college, I went to Morocco. While there, I did a project on the worship practices of rural Muslim women. My advisor there, was an anthropologist who was Moroccan. And he had done a lot of work with the Gnawa. Working with him, I learned so much about djinn. this podcast was fascinating and enlightening. It was a trip down memory lane and I learned so much new information. Wonderful work.
-
Bowiedog101Good!Had a co-worker tell me about this podcast. This one is very interesting and the production is done really well.

FutureDietitianOne of my favorite podcastsRabia is a wonderful storyteller with a phenomenal voice. I had not heard of djinn before discovering this podcast. I’ve learned so much from Hidden Djinn. At this point, I have heard all of the episodes multiple times and I can’t wait for more! Please please come back with new episodes!
-
JupiterFallsNot impressedThis interview was not fruitful to the ongoing conversation. It felt more like her “wants” and her “beliefs@ and her wanting to write sci-fi!
-
Bhindi9FascinatingAmazing host and I'm loving the stories so much. It can be difficult to find non-Eurocentric folklore podcasts, and this is a real treat. I definitely have learned a lot, thank you.
-

FaroukSI1975I still won’t say their name!So good! Strongly recommend if you want to learn about the world of YOU KNOW WHAT. Grew up with these stories, but I learned so many new things. Don’t recommend listening to this podcast in the dark!

nicnic717Rubbed the right way…;PAfter subscribing to all things spooky and finding myself still wanting… having only a superficial understanding of Djinn… this hidden gem both sates my supernatural sweet tooth and holds my spiritual beliefs intact. I love the stories. I love the wisdom gained from listening to the beautifully illustrated words from distant cultures… her voice is soothing and spooky… and i haven’t even touched on the creepiness and eerie and ubiquitous Djinn themselves! I love this podcast!

Moj0HandA brilliant journey into the fantastic and/or factual world of the djinnThis review is long overdue. Absolutely one of the best researched and presented podcasts I’ve heard in a long time. For a Westerner, hearing the tales of Djinn make one wonder how they fold into tales of the supernatural from around the world. Rabia makes them so accessible, so almost present that you fall face first into the folklore, even if it’s not your own cultural experience. Please tell me there will be more! Simply brilliant. Bravo!

LoreistGreat ShowReally enjoyed listening. You may want to check out the novels/graphic novels of G. Willow Wilson.
-
Mary reviewingFascinatingI found this podcast after reading Rabia’s wonderful memoir, Fatty Fatty Boom Boom. This show is equally wonderful, and a fascinating listen.
-
BetteMay13Wonderfully intriguingAs someone who has recently gotten back into folklore this podcast has been a marvel of information, beautiful story telling, and my favourite dive into a subject I previously knew little about.
-
roboyenWe are not aloneI absolutely love this podcast. I will be checking everyone’s feet now. Update: I’m re-listening to this podcast and it still gives me the best chills. Rabia has a beautiful voice, it makes the story telling all the better.
-
DmwoolsonLove you Rabia!I will listen to any and all things by the illustrious Rabia! I love your voice, your intelligence and perspective on all topics. This podcast is no exception!
-

-
breckynridgeTotally hooked!I’m fascinated!! Loving this podcast
-
Whitewalker05Fantastic!I love this podcast and the host. I am a history buff but this is far, far more! Being an American Midwesterner of Anglo-European descent, most of Rabia’s stories and history are new to me, and I am fascinated by every word. Her research is daunting, she is a great story-teller, and I admire her sense of humor. I have binged the first season on recent long drives, and time flies. Can’t wait to hear more.
-
SaturnRubyThe Hidden DjinnI love this podcast! I’d gotten a copy of Tales of the Arabian Nights for my 8th bday and I read the stories aloud to each of my children. I love your stories! Of course you are sharing more information than my folk tales do. Surely if one can believe in angels, in Satan, then surely one can believe in the djinn. It’s written in the Quran. I would believe it if it were written in the Bible or the Torah. I’m not very familiar with Islam or the Quran but I do know it is one of the three major Abrahamic religions. I’m just pretty ignorant about it. I’m curious for more though. Thank you!!!!

MoreBrandiThe hidden GEM 💎💎💎💯💯💯Can’t believe I’ve never heard of this before!! I am relatively new to the whole podcast thing but I’ve been going strong for a little over a year now. I love history, horror stories (only read to me on podcasts bc I’m a big scaredy cat 🙀), and love learning about anything new or from other cultures or perspectives. So this is definitely my new favorite. Keep up the amazing show
-
p3odLearning all the timeThere is so many details that I just learned with every episode.

Monkeyzod10/10 would recommend.I binge almost all of season one in one sitting. I never do that. This show is like sitting down with an old friend. The host is very charismatic, and entertaining. I’m looking forward to what’s next from Hidden Djinn. I can’t recommend this podcast enough. I’ve even got my brother who isn’t in to anything supernatural in to it. 👏
-
BacchusSaturnusNever written a review beforeI’ve never bothered to write a review before, but I love this podcast. I’ve been fascinated by the Djinn for many years and I’ve never found a better source of info as this. Also the podcast is very professionally done, the host has a beautiful voice and wonderful personality, and the background music is perfect for the subject.
-

jakobthepandaMy new favorite (for the past two years) podcast! The research is impeccable, the stories keep me on the edge of my seat, and I can’t get enough. If you like folklore, mythology, theology, the super natural , or even just history this podcast will absolutely not disappoint. I knew I had to leave this review after having some foreboding Djin dreams. Thank you so much for creating such amazing content!

-
CuddlesquishThe Hidden DjinnI don’t even know what to say, but that this is a must listen to podcast. So well done and informative. Anyone who watched movies like Aladdin thinking Djinn will bestow you wishes, better think again. I never knew the history of Djinns, and frankly am a bit scared now. All that I know is I will never pee under a tree! Thanks for the great podcast, I thoroughly enjoyed everyone. I do hope you will put out more.
