MEMM111Beautiful, intelligent podcastThis podcast is life giving. Kate interviews people who have such wisdom and beautiful stories, and her reflections at the end leave me with a lot to think about after every episode. This podcast demonstrates the value in learning from each other and in taking time to listen to each other’s stories, where we can find connection and meaning for our own lives. I look forward to every episode.

DragonVGCLong time listenerFor the three years that I have listened, Kate’s conversations never fails to bring an exhale, a tear, a smile, a resonance from deep within, a hope or sometimes all of the previous in one episode. I’m sorry for the pain in the part of her story that brought the podcast (and book title it follows) to life AND I’m repeatedly grateful for the beauty she has allowed to come from that place… and that she continues to bring transparent, vulnerable, sometimes hard topic conversations into a space that fosters life.

gretzPALovely, I have learned so muchThere is so much grace in this podcast, and so many people who have wisdom about getting through the troubleing things that life throws at you. I love listening to it for inspiration and insights, and to know there are such courageous people out there.

ValynnVWhat A Gift To HumanityThank you for this podcast. I have been walking a season in my life of just…. Stuff. So. Much. Stuff. And after a year out from one of the most devastating set of situations and circumstances, I am beginning to process it all a bit more objectively. My days are filled with AA, kids, therapy, dogs, household responsibilities. In the midst of all of this I have BPD to make things just a bit more “interesting.” I stumbled upon this podcast in my search for mental health related podcasts to help me make it all make sense and it has been added to my daily listening and journaling. It’s truly a way I give myself love and help me get out of my own head in a way that doesn’t ignore or diminish my pain, rather it allows me to think larger and broader. To view the suffering I’ve been experiencing through the lense of teacher instead of monster. Thank you for these gorgeous talks and insightful hearts.
-

TXrunrWhat I needed todayI have been a hot mess since last Tuesday. A mix of grief, anger and complete confusion about our country and my place in it and how to move on. This show was pretty cathartic. I loved Parker’s poem about the Harrowed Fields. And about letting our hearts break to keep them soft. It’s going to take time and work but I’m hoping to find a way forward 💙
-
PeterleonardmusicBeautifulThis episode has really warmed my heart after the election results.

joourney woman 1957What a balm on this dayWhat a balm this episode is on the day, November 6, 2024. When you think things can’t get more ugly, sorrowful, or hopeless (why do bullies win?!), in comes wisdom, calm, and hope. Cannot thank you and Parker enough for such a lifeline today. Your blessings are always so beautiful and meaningful and the quote of Sherlyn Ifil is now on a postie on my laptop! We will never give up on peace love, and kindness. ♥️♥️♥️

-
SillygnirpsSo neededWith humility and honesty, this show deals with the hard stuff in life while still being optimistic and joyful. It is not a pod cast that is all lollipops and giggles. Not at all. But it shows you how you can find joy in the difficult. I am so thankful for this podcast.
-

SamdaldnrjfrbshSo healing! In a world where it’s either, or, Kate comes through with hope and realness and a take on life that feels sustainable. I was one of the everything happens for a reason person and I’ve recovered 😆. I love having Kate and her guests to walk through this new journey which is much scarier and harder but so much more tangible and loving. This podcast is one of my most favorites!

supermama810Kate Bowler is my people! If you're tired of toxic positivity but love God, and want to love other people better you are in the right place. If you long for a theological conversation that mimics the one that happens in your head after spending time with God or other believers you're in the right place. If you know that life is beautiful but you also know that you will walk through the valley of the shadow of death you're in the right place. Also, I heard the F word on a recent podcast and it made my heart happy! Dare I say joyful?
-

JuneboogyEverything HappensMy go-to podcast for inspiring guests and Kate’s very thoughtful questions. You could change your mind about some things without even meaning to. We live in a troubled world; Kate helps to shine a light on the rocky path.
-
lmayhesHighly recommendThis podcast is wonderful and helps you explore the very nature of your own soul's journey. It pushes you out of your comfort zone to not shy away from hard questions, but also beautifully guides you to a soft landing place where you can contemplate your own life and how you are living. I walk away from this podcast daily, hugging my children, husband, and the ones I love a little tighter, while also continuing to deepen my relationship with God, who might not protect us from everything, but sustains us through it all. Everything Happens is a gorgeous reminder of how precious this life truly is.
