LisaLassseason 3Wow! What an amazing season! Thank you sharing these amazing women with us!!!

emi_marieNancy Pelosi is the last person I want to hear from right now.I love this show but Nancy Pelosi is everything that is wrong with the Democratic Party. This 84 year old is literally calling the shots in her hospital room to get a 74 year old with cancer in a key democratic position instead of an upcoming and accomplished millennial. We need new leadership and it’s way past Nancy’s time to step aside. If she had retired a decade ago, then I would have liked to listen to this but she is preventing progress in this country. It’s annoying she’s a guest. I’ll pass on this episode.

kids2spareSo valuableIt is wonderful to get to listen in on conversations with these legends💖 Their lives & experiences have contributed so much to our world. Hopefully we can make them proud. I’m loving every interview

LydiaFaithfullLovelyI, for one, am here for Pope jokes. As a woman in her early forties, I need these unapologetic conversations. Thank you for creating a space where our elders can reflect on trauma. Communing with other women is integral to our survival. May you never lose that glorious pottymouth.
-
Swim Coach SAwesomeI could listen to this episode with Rita Moreno over and over and over again. This podcast is beautiful in so many ways. Thank you for the wisdom and sharing.
-
Robin AlaskaLoveI love your show Julia! Your empathy, humor, interest as you invite all the wise women to tell their stories. I listen while doing artwork. I myself am a psychotherapist and appreciate the deep understanding you and your guests get into. Keep on keepin’ on!

-
TwicebrewedFabulous PodcastI’m loving these interviews. Julia does such an amazing job and the conversations are interesting, informative, and heartfelt. As an “older” woman myself, I’m enjoying hearing from others, especially those that have and continue to live interesting lives.
-
E_MunchWow!What a lovely talking voice Patti LaBelle has (we know her singing voice is fabulous) and what a lovely human being!!!

e2dollWhat can an octogenarian learn in 2025 with juliaI have followed you for decades. Now, I enjoy your podcast. I'd love to talk to you about my stories that where published at age 80 and 81. Type in my pen name Dianne Haaland in Amazon’s search engine, as well as Barnes and Noble, Target, etc. search engines.

OnealexisI wanted to love it.I truly wanted to love this podcast. Unfortunately, the real Julia Louis-Dreyfus really comes through as being incredibly self absorbed and self obsessed. She interrupts her guests (even Gloria Steinem!) and prattles on about her own nonsense when she has these positively incredible guests on. I was hoping I could ignore her and enjoy the guests, unfortunately, she makes her own podcast unbearable.
-
Co elk doNot a competent interviewerThe guest are quite interesting people. Unfortunately Julia is not a good interviewer and this mostly comes off as another celebrity vanity project.
-
chaunpopAmazing podcast!Thoughtful interviews with amazing women! Please interview Sigourney Weaver!

MGB74Same oldJust another collection of liberal nonsense. How naive are these fools?
-
MinejenandjazWill never get oldThis podcast touches my heart, makes me inquisitive, and hopeful. After laughing and maybe shedding a tear or two, I always feel younger and wiser after listening. Please keep the fountain of youth flowing!

makeupmynameintro to 11/20/23 episodePlease adopt dogs from rescues, not breeders! No matter how much you (think you) have to have a “Labradoodle.” Oy vey.

Lackland CowgirlExceptionalCould I love JL-D even more? As a long time admirer of her work ( Elaine! Selina!) I finally get to meet the woman behind those characters, and she is intelligent, thoughtful, knows how to ask the right questions, and above all listen to the women we can all learn from. And the Zooms with her Mom? Icing on the cupcake! Just yummy.
-
MelinacoriaAmazing! Everyone needs to listen!I just finished the episode with Isabella Rossellini and I’m crying at Julia‘s mom reading that beautiful poem. She’s right! it is what we need right now. This is just such an amazing podcast. Listening to wise woman, and the care Julia puts into these conversations is so beautiful. It is just so real and the podcast feels like a warm fire on a cold day.

2/6(9&@1Turning 70I am turning 70 on December 6, 2024. Some may prepare for this landmark birthday by reflecting oh so seriously, by getting all health checks possible, by finally finding a spiritual life, by proving their athletic prowess. Not me. I am preparing for this occasion by listening to all episodes of Wiser than Me. I feel like I’m getting the best advice available along with bouts of laughter. I just adore Julia! Some people say I sound like her which I consider the greatest compliment. Thank you for making turning 70 such a hopeful event! Sincerely, Annie Warhover Steamboat Springs, CO.

SS Chi-Mich.SorryI tried an episode and stopped immediately when just because it didn’t work out with her first rescue dog, she decided to import a doodle from Australia! Shameful. She could’ve found another dog very easily that didn’t have diarrhea. Talk about a lost opportunity, to discuss the importance of rescuing and not buying a dog. I’m grateful for the celebrities that share the importance of this!

Redstir68TDSTrump! Hope JLD enjoys Canada!

Meaux PowersWhat a treat!Thank you Julia for this engaging, entertaining and enriching podcast. I loved each episode and can’t wait to hear more. Jane Fonda’s advice for a life review really resonates and I plan to start one. I’ve never read an Isabelle Allende novel and now I will and Fran made me want to pack up and move to NYC. You are a very talented interviewer. Seasons 2 and 3 are equally as fabulous. I recommend to everyone.
-
N&@12My heartI love every one you interview. My favorite and saddest part of the shows is when you call your mom. I had the same kind of relationship with my mom, I cry and laugh at the end of your episodes. My favorite one was the frog conversation with your mom. Thank you for keeping me connected to my mom 🙏✌🏼
-
XtinA199Isabella Rossellini. You said it at the end and I'd been thinking it the whole interview...Isabella Rossellini is delightful!!! I loved this interview!! Fantastic. You asked her the most beautiful questions and her answers were gorgeous. Thank you.

Parents of M&DSoul FoodThis podcast is food to my soul. Julia’s story telling to open every episode is hilarious, and moving, and one of my most favorite things to consume. The interviews, with incredibly wise and inspiring women, are deeply profound and deliciously casual. That perfect mix helps the content resonate in a way that easily translates into my daily conversations. We all need this in our lives. It’s the best kind of good.

The Singing FarmerThis podcast is all the thingsI was so excited to see there was a second season of this podcast after having found and fallen in love with season one. I’m a woman in my early 40s (and a recovering actress- lol), so this resource has been invaluable. Not to mention it is funny, inspiring, and titillating!! i’m thrilled that a show like this exists and love hearing the stories and advice of all of these incredible women – including Julia Louis-Dreyfus! Personally, I would love to hear E. Jean Carroll interviewed. 🤞
-
AbigailLynnSInspiringAs a 21 year old with a lot of life ahead of me, this podcast is a gift. It’s so lovely to listen to women who have gone through the trickiness of youth and come out on the other side so grateful and enthusiastic about life. Hearing these awesome women speak to their 21 year old self is so lovely, and I take every piece of advice to heart. I look up to all these incredible women so much including the amazing host, and I think more young people should listen to this.
-
KelleObieCatherine O’HaraJulia! What were you thinking? Unfortunately, opening with the Sedaris joke (which to be fair is hilarious if you’re not Catholic)guest bombed this interview. I would’ve loved to have heard more about how her career took off again in the second half of her life and navigating the industry after 50.

nothanks123456Nourishment for the soulI’m an avid podcast listener but have never written a review. I’m so grateful to have found Wiser Than Me. These are the conversations that I’ve been longing for but didn’t know it. I love everything about this podcast. Julia is a delightful facilitator of important conversations with women who have so much wisdom to share about life and aging. I love the opening personal stories, the conversations with interesting women and closing with a call to Julia’s mother. It’s superb. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
-
saraehamMy New Favorite ShowWhat a great show! I love listening to the conversations Julia has with these wise women. Julia is charming, engaged, and so funny. Please keep them coming. The Jane Goodall interview is my favorite so far but I’ve enjoyed all of them. I’ve already shared this with four of my favorite women!
-
KH RNBest podcastLove the idea and execution of this show. After the election please interview some women leaders from around the world if possible (thinking I would like to hear from Angela Merkel to cheer me up)…. Thank you Julia!
-
heatherbc911THIS!!!This podcast is EXACTLY what I have been missing. True, real, raw conversations. Thank you for this.
-
souletrainLove Wiser Than MeEvery episode is wonderful! I loved learning how Jane Goodall celebrated her birthday on the beach with 90 dogs. That sounds like heaven. I have always enjoyed Cathrine O’Hara’s talent. Was it just me or did she subtly display a couple of snarky replies to Julia? Disappointing. Julia however is a class act and handled it as such.
-
Twinloves79I miss my MommyI just LOVE LOVE LOVE this podcast! I recently lost my mother but it just warms my heart to hear you call your mother "Mommy" and talk to her. It makes me feel like how my mother and I used to talk. 😭I just LOVE THIS PODCAST!!! You are amazing!!!
-
Kevin O'LObnoxiousWow the is a known it all. very arrogant.
-
S.R.N. MunizMommyI would really love to hear an interview with your Mommy!! She is so interesting and hilarious. (Now we know where you received your talent from!) She is fun, interesting, and I’m sure smarter than most of us. ❣️
-
10MRMINLove the show, but…I really enjoy all the positive uplifting content of this show. I always look forward to finding out who is being interviewed next. The guests and Julia’s interviews are great. But I was disappointed that politics had to enter into the discussion. It is not Julia’s views I object to as it is her show and her right to express them. But with all the negativity coming from both sides it was disappointing that the podcast was no longer a place to hide from it all. Thank god the election is almost over.
-
Mr MazatlánNo Politics PleaseI enjoy Julia but she’s literally a billionaire and I don’t need her to tell me how to vote. No thanks
-
Professional trainerSuch a lovely person greatShe’s genuine, funny, kind of person you would love to know and her yes, are greeted with her warmth and great questions resulting in great interviews

SisterSledge27Wisdom aboundsThe concept of this podcast is genius - garnering wisdom of the women who have come before us, and it hits so well when done but the wise and funny JLD. I love hearing from all of the amazing women on this show. It’s insightful in an empowering way. And it’s intimate in a kind and truly wise way. It creates a lovely connection to wise women everywhere. When I hear JLD and her mom cracking each other up at the end of the episode, I wish I could text them and say how much their laughter made me laugh. It’s like listening to your friends or sisters share what they know with you over a cup of tea or a glass of wine. Thanks for sharing your wisdom!
-
Elegant WarriorOffensive and sadIt makes me sad to write this review. In fact, I wrote a rave review for season 1. I loved the episode with Carol Burnett. But I’m blown away by the fact that Julia found it completely acceptable to make an offensive joke about priests and to speak negatively about the Pope in the first few moments of the most recent episode. She was speaking to Catherine O’Hara who seemed shocked and uncomfortable because, as she noted, she is Catholic. Julia would never make jokes insulting Jewish people to an Jewish guest or Muslim people to a Muslim guest. The lack of awareness was shocking and sad.
-
vesp11Julia makes me wiserEach episode, Julia and her guests share valuable insights and wisdom. I love the fresh perspectives and sensitivity that each show brings.
-
tgrady59Fantastic podcast!!I’ve listened to every single one of these interviews and have enjoyed each one. They’re funny, insightful and unique. I’m only 2 years older than Julia and my mom passed away when I was 29. She was the wisest person I knew and it’s been hard not having a “wiser” person in my life for a very long time. That’s one reason why, in addition to the interviews, I thoroughly enjoy the recap with your mom. When the 2 of you start laughing (most recently over the joke and the frog/fraud confusion), I feel like I’m right in the room with you. It reminds me of many conversations I have with my own daughter where our laughter sometimes can supersede whatever it was we were originally talking about (side note- my daughter is a graduate of Second City improv classes and I’ve heard about the “yes, and” concept many times). Lastly, all of my listening takes place while I’m hiking the trails in Northern Michigan (while taking my “forest bath” as one of your guests termed it) and, amazingly, the beat of the music soundtrack exactly matches my cadence. Hats off to Henry for creating such a catchy tune!! Thank you for creating this podcast. I look forward to listening to each new episode!
-
WndsrfmontCracking up with you and your momJulia I just finished the episode with Katherine O’Hara and your call with your mother afterwards had me doubled over while making dinner. I truly can’t thank you enough for that laugh that had tears running down my face and I am beyond envious of your relationship with your mother who is such a gem. Thank you thank you for all the amazing interviews you’ve had so far and those yet to come -I adore you.
