Great guest but host kills the vibe
This podcast nabs great guest and the production value is excellent but it does not hold a candle to Bass Talk Live or The Bass University. The host is unfunny and makes its unlistenable. They honestly don’t talk fishing enough and the sound drops are over the top and annoying. Seems like it could be great but 2/5 is where I stand until they get the host tuned up.

Great show! Swindle and Watson were fantastic.

    Unfunny Host
Show host is unlistenable. Guy thinks he’s funny. But nobody else does. Hard to listen even when he has a good guest.

    90% talk 10% bass fishing
I wish they would talk about fishing more.

    Different but great!
A podcast devoted to bass fishing and the sport of bass fishing. The host mixes well known T.V. Game shows with bass fishing making it more fun. The host has a knowledge of bass fishing and can converse with guest about old and new lures. If you are new to the sport it can enlighten you to trends past and present. Plus some silliness to lighten the mood along the way.

    Good Content but Terrible Audio
Guests are top notch. Show is a little wonky at times but is entertaining. It’s so much better than 2 monotone guys talking about the same old stuff which seems to be the standard fishing podcast formula. The issue I have is with the audio quality. The average volume level of the entire podcast is on the low side compared to other podcasts and media. Then the volume level fluctuates pretty often. The guests frequently have terrible connections and cannot be heard. I can’t suffer through an hour of muffled audio that I cant understand and keep adjusting the volume to listen to this. It’s not worth it.

Best fishing podcast and hair in the biz. Let a crazy review once and it disappeared so I decided to leave a new one. Funnest show to listen to perfect balance of games and craziness. Derb

    The host is a doinker!
A terrible attempt at trying to be funny. Host is horrible. Only reason they get one star is because somehow they get big name pros on the show. They need to stop trying so hard at being funny. I’ve tried to listen to a few episodes but the dog $h¡t host constantly cuts off the guests and ruins the interview. Get rid of the hacky host. Could be good if they did that or if he could figure it out.

    Omg! What just happened?
Ladies and Gentlemen my mind has just been blown! I was looking through the average run of the mill fishing podcasts. All of the sudden I saw an advertisement for the show and thought ok I’ll give it a shot. I had my mind blown! I was no longer on planet earth my friends. I was in a basstalk show nirvana! They have all the legends from Houston to Linder! If you wish to share in a transcendent experience play this show. It will change your life.....

Stray Casts and Al Lindner... WOW!
The Al Lindner interview... nothing less than magical. Everyone in a great mood - obviously having great fun. I have been a fan of the Lindner for 45 years... never have I seen Al enjoying himself as much as he did in this episode. Congrats to you in producing a podcast for the ages. Yes, my face was sore from laughing and smiling during the entire show. Many thanks.

    Shrooms
This show is like your at an “on the water” seminar and one of those psychedelic mushrooms float by and you eat it. It’s periods of awesome fish talk and periods of weirdness (which can also be awesome). It’s like a tackle store / tarot card reading combo. And I think I like it.

    Love it
PAT WRENRICK MAY I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION I heard you have the number 5 bass fishing talk show in the whole galaxy. I am a friend of the famous E.T he told me about your show, I am the host of the number 1 bass fishing talk show in the galaxy we air on five million of the five million and one planets in the galaxy. Not bad for someone who only broadcasts to one planet I guess. But I am here to tell you that you will never beat Bassin aliens live. Earthlings know nothing about proper bassin. P.S if you continue to rise in the list of bass fishing shows I will abduct popcorn.

    I’d give it Six Stars
In 1997 I was bitten by a raccoon and diagnosed with stage 4 rabies. I was down on my luck and time was not on my side. Then I rented a VHS workout video featuring a young Pat Renwick and the legendary Richard Simmons. Instantly, I was captivated. My aches and pains from the raccoon bite went away. The sun came out. The clouds went away. Within 3 months I won my first bass tournament defeating Roland Martin and local proper bassin man Papa Pinte by 6 ounces. With the $135 I won that day I bought an escort and a bottle of Walgreens best bubbly. 22 years later I still have rabies, but that escort is now my wife. Thank you Pat Renwick and Richard Simmons for all you have done for me. Update: 11/04/2019 After the Carl Jocumsen podcast my wife fell in love with Australian accents and left me for another Australian Bass Fisherman. Now her and our cats are living in a truck camper near the boat launch at Lake Tenkiller. All I have left is quality fishing accessories from TH Marine and memories. Update to the update: 11/22/19 With the recent “Legends Month” shows featuring Jimmy Houston and Denny Brauer my spirits are lifted like a young Phoenix rising in the west. I am rejuvenated and have a laser like focus on my goals. I have sent Facebook messages to several former bass pros that are now in their silver years and challenged them to outfish me this spring. Most of them have blocked me, but Roland Martin has invited me down to make low quality YouTube videos and Mike Long has asked me to be his net man when snagging season starts up next spring!

You won’t find a more humble, good ol’ boy talk show
Put your power poles down and cast a line, hang out and to listen to the bass worlds best knuckle head duo, Pat and Ryan, put on a piece of entertainment you’ll surely keep coming back to watch week in and week out. The 11/13 music outro was unreal and so fun to watch. Would love to see more of that!

    Awesome Bass Podcast
One of the best bass fishing podcasts out there - perfect mix of useful knowledge with fun stuff. The host Pat is sort of an acquired taste, and I mean that in the kindest way possible. His style is unique but it works perfectly. He’s witty, funny, knowledgeable, and the other guys on the show mesh well with him. Only complaint with the show is that the sound quality (particularly the volume) tends to be quite uneven. It’s a minor annoyance if anything, but I find myself constantly turning up the volume to hear what’s going on only to be bombarded by an explosion of sound when an adjustment is made or the person talking moves closer to the microphone. If there’s any way to even that out it would be perfect, and to be fair this is me nitpicking.

Great bass info and a good laugh.
Guys, u are doing a great job. Keep it up!!! Love the interviews. You have a gift. With BTL, Ike live and your show it gives all fish heads a insight of what fishing for a living is like. Next rod purchase is going to be your sponsor, no one I know has one but feel I have to support the show. Will give review of rod in August!!!

Show is great. Andy produces the hell out of it. I just wish Pat would stop calling my fishing pole a sissy stick. Absolutely can't wait til they go live on the water.

The Sally Jessy Raphael and Phil Donahue of Bass Fishing
One of my favorite fishing shows online! They have some of the best anglers in the world on weekly to talk fishing, tactics, gear and much more. If your a bass head you'll enjoy the topics and antics of the hosts.

    Good stuff
Stray Casts Is a great mixture of 10% serious and 95% cutting up. Great interviews with top anglers. Pat’s borderline tarded but I like it and we have the same taste in movies. The Ginger Ninja’s one liners are gold. Stay golden pony boy -Car RamRod

    Tries too hard
I was really excited to have another bass fishing podcast. Sadly, the host tries a bit too hard to be zany and it comes of a bit hacky. Their guests (which are big names in bass fishing) frequently get knocked off topic by bad attempts to insert jokes. I understand the need to be different from the other podcasts but this one just tries too hard. It would honestly be a great podcast if it weren't for these quirks but they occur to often and over the top to ignore. I'll stick with Ike Live for the entertainment category of my bass fishing podcasts.
  • fishchoma
    +1
Initially it's a little zany, but after listening you get stories from people inside the industry you don't here on tv. Worth the listen
  • Real_Deal033
    Very entertaining
Pat and the guys always bring an entertaining show for the listeners. I really appreciate the fact that they are able to get anglers from all the major circuits on the show.

    Pure Enjoyable Greatness
This is a meat and potatoes podcast delivered with great humor. These guys know the present yet are tremendous historians of our beloved sport. You get thoughtful questions, that inspire good answers without being a lecture because of the comedic delivery. Thumbs used for sure. They also are good about FB and Instagram posts letting you know about upcoming shows. Give them a listen, you won't disappointed. Shaun in Texas

Who let these nuts out of the boat?
Who let these nuts out of the boat? Weekly interviews with the top bass pros? Are they all here? What up what up? That chick with the long blond hair is hawt and the littel guys next to him only add to the mystique of this show. Who else is going weekly with this stuff? I hear these nuts have a small hideout near a waterlogged deadfall on a midwestern lake, called the 'Old Gargamel Broken Toe.' I still don't know what that means. Didja hear the interviews with these top bass pros? Dead gameshow host Gene Rayburn should sue! Match Game with Mark Zona! Wha? My brain hurts just typing this.
