I’ve been listening to your podcast for a couple of years now and it has majorly affected my growth as a fisherman. A coupon of years ago I was fishing the private pond I found off of google maps while listening to your podcast and I caught a trophy bass. I give credit to this podcast. On my $25.00 quantum nitrous will do the thing where thumb bar won’t come back up it is loud when this happens and you reel it same experience just manually lift the bar it’s when the thumb bar is not down (in the middle) all the way and it works Oh and a prop bait is something like a rapala skitter prop, hendon torpedo , devils horse etc , not a whopper plopper choppo etc Go to tackle warehouse go to topwater hard baits you’ll see there is one for prop baits and another for plopper oh by the way you can buy the suspects and creeper in Canada

After listening to nearly half a years worth of episodes, I can’t see it worth my time going forward. The host continually repeats himself over and over, going on about each topic. His presentation and voice are great, and sound professional, but the lack of a clear script and the continuing babbling about his trips and feelings is just too much. Get to the point already!

Andrew makes learning about fishing fun and informative. Really enjoy his podcast.

Totally not bad

Love this podcast, I look forward to it every week to hear from Andrew and his guests. I got back into fishing over the past two years after the passing of my dad. It has provided me healing to relive memories from my child with him and plenty of nice fish along the way. I’ve also picked up some new baits along the way that were featured.

Just getting back into fishing after decades, Tackle Talk has been immensely helpful in gear and technique. Plus it’s just enjoyable to listen to. Andrew runs a tight ship and it’s far superior to many other podcasts out there in any genre. It’s one of a few weekly podcasts that I’m always excited to check out. On top of that, I live in NYC and keeping me engaged in the sport is no easy feat especially in these winter months. Still I’m excited for prespawn and stocking up on knowledge before heading out. Tight lines!

Andrew strikes the perfect balance of keeping things interesting, varied, fun and real! Andrew is helping open up a whole new way of thinking and looking at fishing. He gives great tips on what rods, tackle, etc. are great and why. He also keeps my 10 year old son engaged with the content. Great for the whole family!

My favorite fishing podcast, I’ve learned so much!

I found the Tackle Talk podcast a few months back and have devoured most every episode, several episodes 2-3 times ( love, love, love the Bait Breakdown series.) I am a 50 something year that grew up bass fishing and have been away from it for the better part of 30 years. Andrew’s podcast has made catching up on rods, reels, electronics, lures, techniques, kayaks, etc very easy and in an enjoyable format. Now, go get you some Tackle Talk!

This is the best fishing podcast. Andrew is entertaining, informative, and gives honest reviews.

This show is simply the best. I don’t have a ton of time as a teacher and father of three boys. To hear the reviews helps me sift out what I want and what I do not want. Also love the tie in w American Legacy Fishing. Would never have found this awesome store without him. This guy is legit. He humbly educates. As good as I have heard and am looking forward to the weekly episodes! 10/10. Great job Andrew! Kudos!

Tackle Talk got me back on track when I decided to start fishing more seriously a few years ago. I’m not a big podcast guy, but I’ve listened to every episode of Tackle Talk, and several more than once. I love the time tested tips and tricks, unique guests and mail bag responses. Andrew does a fantastic job cutting through the industry noise to help average anglers across the spectrum figure out how to catch fish starting in the midwest. The seasons, weather, and pressure can be unforgiving, but Tackle Talk tells it like it is and makes no excuses for sitting back waiting for bass to come to us.
