Mike is a fantastic interviewer. He invites a wide array of voiceover professionals and just let's them talk. They get to tell us newbies (me) how they got started, their ups and downs, as well as the challenges of the voiceover industry. I have really started to burn through his catalogue and find them extremely helpful! I'm binge-listening! I already know I made the mistake of doing a 6 week group VO class that ended with cutting a demo. As Val Kelley stated, "it just sat on the shelf collecting dust." To hear someone that successful talk about certain mistakes and how they overcame them is nice to hear. Thank you Mike! Keep doing what you are doing! I love your interview style.

I’m just starting out in my own journey and the things that I have learned by listening to Mike and his guests have help prepare me in so many ways, not just in technical knowledges, but what to expect from the industry and the culture of the VO community. If you are interested in voice overs, this is a great resource!

I always find Mike’s interviews to be insightful, honest and interesting. He has a wonderful way with words and a great way of getting the most out of his guests (and I’m not just saying that because I’ve BEEN one of his guests!). I try not to miss an episode!

Mike Lenz, an amazing interviewer, talks to Voice Actors at all stages of their journeys. This give the listener, week after week, stories that inspire and sometimes touch the heart. If you're curious about voice acting or are a vetran in the industry: this is for you!

My son is a collegiate theatre/business Major who has begun VO work. He has been to a number of Anime Conventions to meet those doing that work and has taken Webinars with Crispen Freeman. I found Mike Lenz Podcast doing an iTunes search on VO and WOW!! Mike is very professional and his guests cover a gauntlet of topics, many not covered by the anime and gaming VO artists. I have learned a tremendous amount listening to them so I can have intelligent conversations with my son about his career. My son also listens and clearly understands the relationship between VO and business-its not just performing but operating your small or not so small business. Mike, PLEASE keep up the outstanding work

This is a tremendous podcast for rookies and veterans alike. The range of interviews and personal journeys are invaluable to understand what is possible within the voiceover industry and how to learn from others' successes and challenges. I listen to other VO podcasts and Mike's is the best in content, variety, and actionable insights.

Listening to the podcasts continues to provide me with a wealth of information and motiviation. For someone who is new to the VO world, I have discovered websites, equipment recomendations, books & ongoing inspiration which is crucial and valuable to me.

As someone who has always dreamt of breaking into the VO industry, I was delighted to find this wealth of information in the form of a podcast that I could consume while driving (which I do for several hours a day). These interviews have not only reaffirmed my passion for pursuing VO, they have inspired me to take chances and pursue all that I love in life. There is something really profound about listening to hours of successful people give advice and tell their stories. I would reccomend these for anyone that had even the slightest thought about pursuing voice-acting. These interviews are even motivational for anyone that is unsure about whether or not they should follow any dream or passions, VO or not. I especially enjoy the closing sections where Mike asks the interviewee for one single concise piece of advice for the aspiring voice-actor.

Just finished listening to all (to date) of the "Mike Lenz's Voice: A Journey into Voice Acting" podcasts —and I must say "Bravo!" Where else to hear professional voice actors share their stories, insights, and concrete advice, guided by the host (also a pro voice actor) asking thoughtful and pertinent questions? The podcast also talks about specific resources —books, workshops, classes, etc. And though geared toward helping the aspiring voice actor, I bet almost anyone looking to start a new venture is going to find something of value, interest and/or inspiration here.

I really enjoyed these podcasts. Mike's interview style is great and I like that he asks his guests about their journeys and about the obstacles they've faced. The information his guests provide is so helpful to those starting out in the voice-over world. I'm looking forward to listening to more!

Even if you aren't an aspiring VO actor, this is a great listen for the inspirational push in the right direction to making your living the one you truly want to live.
