Thought Provoking “Gold Nuggets” every week
I have listened to Ryan’s Podcast for a couple years now. What I really enjoy is Ryan’s value of curiosity. He is genuinely prepared, interested, and invested in all his guests. Instead of it being an off the cuff conversation, you can tell he has done his homework to come up with the most thought provoking questions that will be valuable for his listeners but also himself. Lastly, I appreciate Ryan is not preaching or trying to prop himself up, but really enabling the guest to share while challenging them a bit without debating them. It makes for a positive listen where I take away a value or idea from most guests.

    Consistently impressed
I love starting my week with Ryan and his guests. Always learn something that makes me a better leader and human. I also love being so inspired by the content that I share it with others across my entire network. I’ve had a chance to meet with Ryan and his emerging team a few times and get to know Ryan a bit more and I can attest to the depth of commitment to excellence.

I have been listening to Ryan since 2020 great guest and he does his homework really well on his guest he sometimes finds stuff on them that the public wouldn’t even know . There’s is always something I can take away from his episodes. I also purchased his books welcome to management which was a great book especially it was the beginning stages for my first major leadership role and I also recently purchased the score that matters which I loved better it really gives you a different perspective on how to lead your teams and what really matters! Overall great podcast and writer

New or Old episodes: wisdom gems every time
If every podcast out there has the same guests and the same types of questions, we’re not learning anything new. On the Learning Leader, I’ve heard new ideas and original takes from the known thinkers because Ryan Hawk asks better questions. New or old episodes, great nuggets of wisdom can be found every time.

    Reigniting My Passion
I am a teacher dedicated to helping my students reach their fullest potential. I recently transitioned to a new school this year, and the change has been challenging in unexpected ways. The competitive spirit and motivation I once thrived on seemed to dissipate in my new environment, as my administration did not actively seek to push us to excel. Consequently, I found myself becoming complacent and less driven. In this period of mediocrity, I also stopped listening to your podcast, which had been a significant source of inspiration and professional growth for me. However, today I woke up feeling tired of settling for less. I decided to listen to episode 581, and it felt like a jolt of energy and motivation. This podcast reignited the fire within me, reminding me of my passion for teaching and the importance of striving for excellence. I am now ready to push myself and my students to the limit, aiming for growth and excellence in all areas. Your podcast has once again become an essential tool in my journey to becoming the best teacher leader I can be. Thank you for your insightful episodes and for helping people from all walks of life rediscover their drive.

    A Mentor in Podcast-Format
About 2 years ago I started listening to the Learning leader podcast. I immediately felt invigorated by Ryan and hills approach. His positivity and drive to get better and better is infectious. I am grateful to have found the show. I am a lifelong learner and this podcast is a playbook for how to be better (hint: there is no finally resting place) The level of guests that Ryan brings to the show is amazing; I have been exposed to leaders both transitional and unconventional that I would likely have never found - truly inspiring people. These podcasts have inspired me to dig deeper and learn more about what those individuals have to offer in turn. Hands down, this is my go-to podcast I listen as frequently as possible. If you are just finding the podcast, the show has quire a catalog to dig into. I’m stingy with fiver start reviews for anything (because we can always get better) - but this show is about as close as one will get to the top. You will be better if you listen to this show with intent of being a better leader.

    A MUST for Leaders!!!
The Learning Leader Show is a hack for those humble enough to learn from others’ experiences. You will save so much time and money and greatly reduce your learning curve as a leader by carefully listening to his shows, taking notes and then taking action. Ryan is THE best and most prepared interviewer I’ve ever come across and takes obvious pride in providing the highest quality content. His podcast is the #1 show I share and refer people to. If I ever need inspiration, motivation, or to jump start my creativity, I always turn to The Learning Leader Show. Thank you Ryan!!!

    Clay Mathile Episode
The episode with Clay Mathile is especially important to me as he is my grandfather. He unfortunately recently just passed away and I have been slowly and cautiously listening to bits and pieces of this episode due to my, and my family’s grief. Hearing this interview so well done by Ryan will live on forever and it’s so nice to be able to go back and listen to hear his voice and laugh. Thank you Ryan for this amazing interview. My family appreciates your kind words and wonderful questions.

Really appreciated the podcast with guest, Oscar Munoz, about his journey as CEO at United Airlines and his experience turning the company around. I appreciated the candid and transparent conversation about his challenges initiating a listening tour, and journey to success. Tons of amazing takeaways! Look forward to more great episodes! Specific kind of leadership, mostly wrong kind messaging
I listen to this among a bunch of other leadership podcasts and security and IT stuff. This show, eh, its so full of itself and hypey and in the end its like if you love the military you will probably like it but won't really LEARN anything from it. When I heard today it was sponsored by INSIGHT GLOBAL, you know, as in one of the scummiest recruiting shops around in the US, and as a job seeker I withdrew my attempts to give it a chance and learn things from it and leaving it this review. Its good if you into that stuff though, good echo chamber.

Self-Improvement as the Key to Effective Leadership
Ryan’s discussions are thought provoking and the takeaways are useful in that they are practical, consumable and transformative. Ryan and his guests come across as people one would want to get to know. To engage in conversation such that strangers become accessible to the audience in less than an hour is a wonderful skill and I’m glad Ryan has found his calling. A key theme across all Ryan’s discussions is the correlation between learning leaders and positive traits (introspection, humility, discipline, authenticity, self esteem). To become a better leader, we need to first become better versions of ourselves. Thank you Ryan for manifesting our society’s collective wisdom in such an accessible way!

Haven’t Listened To One That Didn’t Have Great Takeaways
The latest episode with Collin Coggins and Garrett Brown really hit home for me. As a sales professional training new people just getting into sales, being genuine is the #1 trait I look for during the hiring process. Ryan is a prepared and masterful interviewer that really draws out the best conversations in his guests.

This podcast is so amazing. I have been listening to Ryan for a year and a half and I started because I was driving 4 hours one way from Michigan to Ohio twice a week in the fall to watch my daughter play volleyball at college. You can only listen to music for so long. I stumbled across this podcast and am now a faithful listener. I have learned so much from every guest speaker. I have at least 2-3 take always (if not more) that I am able to implement immediately into my work life and sometimes my personal life. The quality of guests that Ryan interviews are first class and Ryan is a fantastic interviewer. He asks the right questions and is always so prepared that the conversations flow amazingly and are so interesting. I have bought so many books because I have listened to an author and want to hear more! Thank you Ryan for having the courage to chase your dream and achieve it!

    Super Smoothie For Your Brain!
I have been a listener for 5 years now. I love all the different view ideas and talents that are covered in the episodes. I used to speak very matter fact on many issues and topics. Listening to Ryan and how his very successful guests often speak made me realize there is so much I don’t know and will never know that black and white thinking is not that applicable to most situations. I also now focus more on galvanizing my processes and enjoying the grind, instead of chasing big specific goals. I think it has been a great help in my development as a young learning leader.

    Life Changing Impact, GREAT listen!
This podcast has been the “gasoline” thrown on my “life long learner” mentality fire for my life. Ryan does an unbelievable job bringing together a diverse guest list focused on personal and professional leadership growth ranging from world-renown authors, professional sports team owners and coaches who all share a passion for making their world a better place than they found it. The practical stories, ideas and lessons have changed my life and as Ryan always ends each episode, “And for that, I am forever grateful!” Thank you Ryan and please keep it up! Listening to your weekly interview release is a part of my Monday morning routine and is SO helpful in setting the tone for another great week!

    Must listen every week
I have been listening to the learning leadership show every week for over a year now. Even when the guest or topic doesn’t seem so applicable to me- there is always at least one take away that gives me a reason to think a little harder or change my approach. Most weeks, as I finish listening I am so motivated and ready to share what I have learned with others and find that so many others find the content meaningful and actionable. I am so grateful for Ryan Hawk and the guests he brings to his podcast. They have helped me so many times be reassured or challenged in all the best ways!

Wish I Had This Resource Earlier In My Career
I sometimes get the impression that Ryan Hawk gears his content to a younger audience (his first book was “Welcome to Management,” and he frequently asks his podcast guests what they would recommend to people just a few years into their careers, or to mid-level managers). Regardless, as a mid-50s C-level executive, I find consistently high value in Ryan’s podcast, and I wish I had a resource like this when I was earlier in my own career (although we didn’t have podcasts back then :) Aside from the impeccable content and quality leaders/authors featured on the podcast, Ryan himself is an engaging, dynamic, energetic and charismatic host that provides a timely spark of motivation just when it’s most needed on a Monday morning.

    Exceptional Long Form Interview Podcast
I have been listening to Ryan’s show for a few years now and must say that he is one of the best hosts in the long form interview podcast space out there. He preps thoroughly, listens carefully, and asks thoughtful, open-ended questions that inevitably yield nugget after nugget of leadership wisdom. It really doesn’t matter who he talk with - I already know the conversation will be worth the listen. I’ve not only learned from your guests, but from your leadership as well. You have demonstrated how to host long form podcast interviews with excellence and have greatly influenced how I host my own interview format podcast. Thank you, Ryan, for over 500 wonderful conversations so far. I’m looking forward to many more!

    Idea Machine - Outstanding!!
Ryan all your episodes are fantastic with incredible learning. I am an avid listener and have heard most of them. Today I decided to write a review because we have picked up so many ideas and institutionalized in our businesses and yet I did not take a moment to share a note of gratitude. I have always wanted to but never took the time to write a review. You are doing such purposeful work which is impacting global communities through your podcast. Every episode is intense and filled with nuggets. I believe if anyone listens to this podcast with a learning lens & perspective you need not go to green leafy campus to do an MBA as Jack Welsh would say. Art of story telling truly redefined. I can only imagine if your podcast is this good how experience learning leader circle would be!!! Awesome work keep doing the amazing thing you do! I will keep recommending it to the world on how you are creating an impact!!!

Depth and Knowledge in Each Interview
I have listened to every one of The Learning Leader podcasts. There are many different reasons to listen. The first reason is to learn about leadership from a new guest every week. The main reason to listen is because of the obvious job Ryan does every week to prepare for each interview. I like it when you can tell Ryan is asking a question which has not been asked before. It seems the guest is a little surprised by the question, but they know the question comes because of Ryan's depth of knowledge about the guest. Keep up the great job and I'll continue to listen every week.

    Best Leadership Podcast
I’ve listened to every single Learning Leader Show podcast. I’m not sure how to give Ryan and his podcast a higher accolade. Week in and week out it is the best leadership podcast. I started listening in October of 2017 and have listened to every episode since. I also worked my way back to Ryan’s very first episode. Every week, I get valuable leadership insights and hear how real people have navigated real leadership challenges. The reason the podcast is so good is because of the amount of preparation Ryan does for each episode. He asks great questions that go beyond the standard fluff. He gets as deep as the guest is willing to go. Often, guests comment on the quality of Ryan’s questions and sometimes express surprise that Ryan knew about something in their life that they had never been asked about before. I’ve recommended The Learning Leader Podcast to thousands of people over the years. I highly recommend the podcast for every leader, at every level, in every organization.

    Useful, Practical and Real
I have been an avid Learning Leader Show listener for years, and still appreciate and look forward to every new episode! Ryan’s preparation is impeccable and it shows. Ryan knows the guest and their material inside and out and can go deep with those guests to get real emotions and real responses. Ryan is focused on improving himself and in so doing, digs for the questions and answers that will be the most USEFUL to himself and the listeners as well! I learn something that I can immediately apply to my personal life and professional life in every episode. Thanks Ryan! Keep it up man!
