Joe, your dumb quizzes continue to make me laugh out loud, especially this latest one with Norman Chad. And James, you always do a superb job with interviewing guests and superfans as well as “babysitting” Joe. Thank you guys for sprinkling in humor and fun to my boring Monday-Friday office job. This is the best poker podcast by far. Hartigan and Stapes have very complementary personalities, the banter is fantastic. Joe's stories are freaking amazing and only sometimes made up

I have been loosely following Stapes since two jacks in the hole. Still one of the best podcasts ever made. It very well could have been the first I ever listened to back in the mid 2000’s. Seeing and hearing his growth over the years and the great comradery between he and James keeps me coming back every time a new episode downloads. I love these two guys, and I hope PokerStars keeps this going as long as possible

You guys are doing a great job. I really enjoy your pod cast. In 2017 I was 5 feet away from stapes at WSOP as he was preparing to go on camera but didn’t say hello as not to bother him and I still regret it.

Great podcast. Not the boring dry poker and strat talk of other shows. Hartigan and Stapes are 2 of the absolute best in the game at commentary and pop culture talk. Great chemistry. You should definitely listen.

I’ve been listening to Poker in the Ears for a few years now and it’s one of my favorite podcasts in my current rotation. Touching on poker news with a light hand, Hartigan and Stapes highlight various names from the poker world and poker adjacent personalities in a fun, energetic way. I consider both a point of pride and my secret shame that I usually score highly on Stapes random quizzes for the guests (though the recent Oscar one was a beast). Very enjoyable listen for the casual poker player, or even if you just want to know more about personalities that make the poker scene their life.

While this podcast is about poker, you don’t have to be a poker fan to appreciate it. Stapes and Hartigan bring humor, intelligence and fun to all their content: poker news, event recaps, interviewing poker-related people, forcing those people to play silly pun-based games, discussing movies and TV shows, and finally bringing in fans for a movie-themed trivia quiz against Stapes that he almost always bombs hilariously. Definitely worth your time!

Very entertaining duo. Poker skills not required for this listen. Lots of pop culture topics including movies, tv shows, etc. Poker is in the air just not the major aroma at all times. Always enjoy the Stapes updates...seems like a regular Joe living his best life. Great team chemistry and always good for a laugh. James unfortunately drew short straw and has to be the grown up each week. Can’t wait for the new year.

It's obvious how much work goes into the making of this podcast, and it's not just that Hartigan and Stapleton are both quick-witted personalities. Another advantage this show has over every other is the resources and access that PokerStars brings to the table. It's literally embedded in the EPT, and any top player from around the world knows who PokerStars/Poker in the Ears are, as opposed to some rando podcast.

Funny, relevant and immensely enjoyable to listen, Stapes and Hartigan brighten up my days with their show. Poker news, poker celebrity interviews, current movie/tv and video game reviews never disappoint. I’m looking forward to following you guys on this podcast and Twitch. Keep up the great work!

Great show, great guys, particularly when considering most of the takes that come out of the poker world.

Harrigan and Stapes come together for a fast moving, informative and hilarious podcast. They do a great job discussing the current events in poker while splashing in plenty of personal stories and keep things light and moving. It’s highly entertaining to listen to, especially when Joe is horrible at Superfan vs. Stapes. Can’t recommend enough!

In addition to getting information on what’s happening in the poker world, I’ve also walked away with some excellent movie and TV recommendations. You don’t have to be an avid poker player with HUDs and solvers to enjoy this podcast; you just have to enjoy listening to guys with great chemistry who happen to be really knowledgeable about the world of poker, and are incredibly funny to boot.

Always enjoy listening to this podcast, i wish Joe spent a couples of more minutes explaining his emontion on remembering the movie Hook, is it because the movie in so many aspets was so great, is it because it remind him the legend that he was Robin Williams, or is it because it had an impact on persuing comedy. Love you guys

A thoroughly enjoyable podcast that combines poker and pop culture. To be clear this is not a strategy podcast. A favorite to be sure.

These guys have been doing a great job over the years to bring poker, cinema, interviews, and comedy into an entertaining podcast. They’ve weathered a storm or two, dipped their toe into politics (thanks for never doing that again), and managed to do it all with camaraderie, self-deprecating humor, and a distinct lack of panache! Just kidding, keep it up!

It maddeningly whiffs over and over and occasionally wins a 300 big blind pot. Hosts James Hartigan and Joe Stapleton are like suited one gappers. You think better of it. Or you can say here we go, let’s have some fun, and see a flop. The guest appearances from PokerStars pros and notable names in poker are like giving PLO a try. The variance. All of the variance. The weekly superfan quiz is like a home game. It’s full of fish playing a game they don’t understand, and it might be rigged. Subscribing is like holding KK facing a four bet from someone with a vaguely Northern European accent. Just go with it.

You will find no better source of regular poker-tainment than Hartigan and Stapes' Poker in the Ears podcast. Every episode contains a well-balanced dose of poker news, player interviews, and entertaining off-topic discussions -- especially of movies and TV.
