As a Packer fan, I enjoy this show
Especially when they breakdown how the Vikings lost in the first round of the playoffs again. To be fair, they give some honest assessment of how Sam Darnold inexplicably fell apart. And they say the refereeing was bad on both sides and can’t be blamed. They also explain why, with how much the Vikings are losing in free agency, next year will be worse for them. Such a fun show. My favorite this year.

This is by far the longest running #1 Vikings podcast (don’t ask for a source, everyone is saying this). The banter, football analysis, and (most importantly) the editing are all outstanding. Listen now!

    Tallest Podcast
This Podcast gives excellent Vikings takes by generally useful towering giant Arif Hassan and James who helps keep everyone humble.

    Blitzed Perspectives
I tune in for James’s—how shall I put this?—interesting editing. But I stay for Arif’s explanations of such topics as the Queen of England’s blitz avoidance strategy. It’s a one-of-a-kind football podcast and we’re all thankful for that. All it really needs is more Luke Braun.

If you are looking for in depth insight on the Vikings, comedic relief and something to look forward to when a new episode drops look no further.

    Great beekeeping/parenting pod
My only complaint is that they talk too much Minnesota Vikings. Stick to beekeeping/Parenting advice/ sumo/ Arif’s anime corner. Also, Case Cookus.

    Mansplaining Overload
This podcast, co-hosted by noted failed relationship guru James Pogatshnik and mr. useful human Arif Hasan, is a psyop that is trying to get you and your children to believe that the Vikings are going to use CJ Ham more in 2023 than they did in 2022. Extremely controversial and no good for you or your families mental health and overall well being. Also, as I stated in the title of this review, these two mansplain all the time. I will not expand any further. Anyways, this podcast continually tends to walk the very thin line between Critical Race Theory (😱) and Vikings analysis, and they also bring on Locked On Vikings and Built Bar enthusiast Luke Braun (derogatory) from time-to-time and it is traumatizing. These guys make me pay $3.50 a month to be their “friend” and it is ruining my personal life. 10/10 Love the show and the patreon community. 💜

Great show! Deep dive into every game!
This show is a fun and informative way to learn about previous and upcoming matches for the Vikings!

    Norse Code is a Joke
This podcast is terrible. One of the hosts has an obsession with the other host’s face and plasters it all over household items as well as having a terrible voice for podcasting. The other lies about his 40 yard dash times and is racist towards bees. Clearly neither of them take the show seriously and put in effort towards making it successful. They can’t even get a BuiltBar sponsorship. In fact, I’ve never heard them do a single ad read so obviously businesses aren’t interested in supporting the show. Would not recommend to friends or family. 10/10, can’t wait for the next episode.

If you are looking for extremely detailed Minnesota Vikings analysis and also have an interest in witches, curses, the demonic, and all things bees then this is the podcast for you! Do running backs matter in the modern NFL? Can you win with a QB taking up a ton of cap space? Was a famous Canadian pop-star replaced with a body double named Melissa? How do you winterize a bee colony? Get answers to all of these questions and more!

    Not a football podcast

    My Favorite Vikings Pod
This is by far my favorite podcast about the Vikings. Arid brings so many good good takes, and James is a fantastic host. Plus, you get some pop culture and food stuff each episode. If only Dusty wasn’t in their collective basement...watch out for the ravens!

    The best Vikings podcast
I have been listening to this podcast for years now. I miss Dusty O’Connell probably butchered the spelling but oh well. Arif and James are great. I met them at Pedofskis in Seattle and it was a good show. It’s just really well done and I am glad they keep the podcast going.
  • Mlinky
    Really the best team podcast
James (and Dusty) with Arif manage to entertain and educate on all things football, and extraneous absurdities. I don't even consider myself a Vikings fan, but I look forward to this podcast each week.

    The Cousins of Podcasts
A good meld of personality and business. Almost remarkable between the twenties. And, at times, personality leaks through the vents; but mostly, it’s CEO time, all the time. And if YOU LIKE THAT sort of thing, then this really will be THE NUMBER ONE PODCAST FOR YOUR MINNESOTA VIKINGS, for you. Moreover: Probably overpriced, esp considering that the pay is guaranteed. Still. Come for the purple rain, stay for James and Arif tossing their souls-vide livers upon the grills of the soul.

    The Cousins of podcasts
Good meld of fandom and analysis. Personality, at times, leaketh through. But mostly, it’s CEO time; all the time. James and Dusty and Arif tossing their sous-vide livers onto the grills of the soul. And if you think that You Like That sort of thing, then this truly will be the #1 podcast for your Minnesota Vikings, for you.

    Great podcast but...
James’ breathing is so annoying. Also, he has called Rodgers “Favre” multiple times

    Perfect balance
There are some sports analysts who are too gut reaction oriented and treat analytics like they’re irrelevant. There are analytics nerds who are unbelievably boring. Then there are people like the hosts of this podcasts who blend analytics into their analysis in a way that confirms what you are seeing with your own eyes. This is a great Vikings podcast and I’d recommend it to anyone who is a Vikings fan.
  • Matthew-AK
    Awesome!
Love the analysis of both the Vikings and their opponents, and the analytics-talk is easily understandable. Great stuff.

    Norsecode
Arif is an extremely impressive analyst of football performance and always worth listening to. The show suffers, however, from giving the false impression that it’s imperative to assert an opinion even if it’s based on very little. The litmus test here is, trivially, almost every week when the topic of food comes up, and significantly when asked whether the Beatles are “over-rated,” Arif said “yea, but they’re good.” “Good?” Why don’t you just say you’re out of your depths and your listeners should ask someone who knows something about music history?

    Good Content but SLOW
They content is good but this podcast could be 45 minutes if they tried. It is slow. It is why radio is still 10x better than podcasts.

    Norse Code
Love the show with all of the Vikings content as well as the non-football related stuff. Relly loved the discussion from a few months ago about coffee

    Smart, insightful, generally useful
Very good Vikings podcast. Much smarter than anything being broadcast. An excellent source if you want to understand the Vikings, and not just vent.

    What?
How do you only have 82 5-Star Reviews? Y'all listeners need to get on it. Although...I could do without the cooking tips - the insight from these guys is great. They're not homers so they're not overly optimistic, they don't work for major broadcasters so they don't push the hot take. I should donate three fiddy.

    Best Vikings podcast
I normally don't write reviews but I want to help get a donation for the Mike Zimmer Foundation. This podcast has taught me what an aero press is, which I bought. How good and under rated roasted duck is. Also many ideas for meats to smoke when I finally get a smoker. I guess I'm trying to say this truly is the #1 podcast of the Minnesota Vikings.

    Best Vikings Podcast
Arif is the premier writer about the Vikings and he drops some amazing insight about the team. Dusty does a great job hosting episodes and has some pretty awesome food and beverage knowledge. James brings the snark and it makes me laugh every time. Great Twitter follows too!

The Turkey Is Trash Podcast Review
Alright listen up, I’m only gonna say this once. This is a great Podcast and they hate turkey, well, Arif hates turkey. If you want to know more about the Vikings and you hate turkey, this is the podcast for you. If you don’t want to know about the Vikings but you still hate turkey, there’s slightly better turkey hating podcasts out there. If you want to know more about the Vikings and you don’t hate turkey, well, you’re still gonna wanna give these guys a listen! Twitter: @call_me_kelso

    Very informative
Love the show, love the fact there's not a lot of plugs. The hosts seem to know their stuff.

    These guys are great!!
Great insight into my favorite football team. And some really great takes!
  • Justin_YDKJ89
    Meh
Slow and meandering. Info was often followed by an "I'm not sure" or "I'll have to check on that", which is worrisome coming from a reporter. Hosts find their own jokes pretty funny. Still on the hunt for a captivating Vikings podcast.

The bee's knees of Viking podcasts
Arif is my favorite of all Vikings bloggers/journalists/beat reporters/statisticians/analytics/whatever the proper term is. His analysis is spot on and he makes great points with sound reasoning behind them. Dusty is a great host, and introduced me to the best way to make coffee, the great Aeropress!! 😂😂 one of my favorite episodes. Keep it rollin' fellas
