This podcast is great to listen to if you want to know more about the rules of the game (and there are quite a few rules that you didn't know that you can pick up, even after a couple of episdoes), want to just have a easy listening Magic podcast on while you do other stuff or even want to become a judge and are using it as a learning tool.

If you've ever thought about being a MtG judge, or even have an appreciation of the rules, JudgeCast is the podcast to listen to!

Without a doubt the leading podcast on Magic the Gathering rules. CJ, Jess and Bryan do a great job explaining the rules of this very complex game in such a way that just about anyone can understand. They do a great job of keeping this ‘cast clean, informative and enjoyable to listen to. I look forward to every episode and have gone back and listened to older ones time and time again. This podcast helped me to become a Level 1 judge and I am using now as I work towards Level 2.

My Lvl 2 mentor suggested I start listening to this podcast as I studied for my Lvl1 test and I have enjoyed it so much I am continuing to listen to ongoing episodes. The width and breath of what is covered is great, everything from FNM questions to Grand Prix level situation. Thanks guys for everything, as a brand new Lvl1 I value each episode you do!

This podcast makes what could be a boring topic to discuss (for some), into a very entertaining lark. I am not a Magic Judge, nor do I plan to be one in the future, but I find the rules interesting, and JudgeCast helps me dive deeper into them.

I’ve never been a judge, but I never miss an episode of JudgeCast (take that Brian)! The guys are funny, and they mostly cover topics related to judging, but I learn a lot as a player too. It’s in my top 5 for MTG podcasts

Bryan, CJ, and Jess bring great information, good banter, and lots of Bear Cubs to the radio waves. JudgeCast keeps me informed about changes in the judge program and up to date on my rules knowledge and policy. I haven't missed an episode yet!

Seriously, we might not focus on tournament reports and card strategies, but we focus on the rules and tournament philosophy, we highly those in the black (and burgundy) who help make the game you love a reality. This podcast not only inspired me to become a judge, but also helped prepare me to be one. Very approachable material and a fun tone make this podcast a staple.
