As you’re laying in bed hoping to fall asleep you might think to listen to this podcast and that, my dear friend, would be a grave mistake. You see, unlike a myriad of others this show won’t lull you into dreamland. No, it will grab you by the horns and throw you into the deepest pits of well- and lesser known television series making you ponder over things that don’t, but also definitely do, matter. Like why is it on every rewatch of Avatar Katara decides not to end up with Zuko? And how is it that Agent Carter never manages to show us how we get our own deliciously English sidekick butler? Honestly, I still can’t fathom it. And neither will you. P.S. Hit me up Karen. We’ve got some vacation planning to do!

An update to my previous review: I’m now at the beginning of Buffy season 5 and I continue to be both delighted by most of the hosts and incredibly frustrated that they’ve kept people on this podcast who actively do not like the show and voice their dislike of it on every episode. I wish these podcast runners would have stopped to really think about WHO is listening to Buffy podcasts: fans. People who love these shows with their whole hearts. Buffy was important in so many ways for me growing up, as it was to countless teens. Listening to a podcast created by a site that claims to be about FANdoms, it’s incredibly frustrating to regularly hear people who make fun of and speak in snooty, condescending tones about a thing you love so much. I don’t get why you’d keep people on the show who are there just to hate-watch. They’re painful to listen to. And yet, the rest of the hosts are so fantastic, and I love hearing the opinions of first time watchers. Right now I’m listening to an episode with Karen, Kristin, Caitlin, and Mitch on, and it’s WONDERFUL. It makes me sad because they could have done the whole podcast this way—with people who LIKE these shows—but chose not to, for reasons I don’t understand. Bottom line: some of this is worth listening to, some of it is really disappointing. Previous review: I needed a new Buffy podcast and came across this one. I love the format of having people on who’ve never seen it before—wish more podcasts would adopt this format! This one has a rotating cast of hosts, making it hard to rate—some hosts are great, and some are less great (think nitpicking, one who talks WAY too much, + ones who seem to actively hate the show, at least through the 3rd season which is where I am, which just isn’t enjoyable to listen to.) I wish I could pick and choose which hosts to listen to. I’m hoping the people who don’t seem to like the show either change their tunes or drop off at some point—I understand not everyone will get Buffy, but I don’t get the decision to have non-fans on a show clearly made for fans. That being said I’m still listening and can’t wait until they get to Angel!

I just recently rewatched season 1 with a friend while she watches for the first time and we are on season 2 currently so this is so exciting!

A long time fan of Buffy, I recently started listening to podcasts of the show. Rewatchable was the second one I tried & was soon hooked. I admire the perseverance of slogging through so many episodes despite the great lows that offset the great highs of both Buffy & Angel. The vast majority of the commentary is thoughtful & heartfelt. I was occasionally frustrated when someone simply complained that some plot point was stupid with nothing more insightful, but those moments were rare. I love to listen while cleaning because i get so distracted by the commentary. No drastic distraction reduction please! Moving on to Sense8 😁

As someone who grew up along side the scoobies (class of 99) I’ve definitely enjoyed this podcast and it has been something I’ve looked forward to every week. While I don’t always see eye to eye with everyone’s interpretations, they have given me so much more to think about and have challenged the way I perceived many of the story lines. Knowing that each episode was going to be dissected really changed the way I re-watched the series. I’m not a super-fan of many shows so I’m getting sad that they’re just about done with Angel. I love this podcast! The hosts are hilarious and never afraid to share their true opinions - even when they dislike the show, their candor can be equally funny. The superfans are passionate and chock-full of behind the scenes fun facts! I've loved the Buffy/Angel run, even if my fellow newbies haven't. I went back and listened along with Firefly, which was also great. I'm excited to listen to the AtLA run sometime soon, and even more excited to find out what show they're tackling next. This is the podcast for you if you can't stand Wesley. The group damsels Fred all of season 4, talkiing about how Wesley doesn't respect that Gunn now owns Fred. It's very odd for a femnist podcast o cheer on the disempowwering of her character when she wants to seek justice and save other women. I should have realized then that Wesley would never be able do good. Even Fred's death is kinda ruined because she was with Wesley and not Gunn?! I just prefer a podcast where all the characters are given examination, and none are dismissed early on as creepy, stalkery and without any redeeming characteristics for several seasons.

I can so relate to their sense of humor. Been listening to the BUFFY podcasts and I crack up with all the great comments

I watched Buffy for the first time last October, promptly became obsessed, and then just about exploded when I couldn't get anyone I knew to watch it. When I got really desperate, I ended up stumbling across Rewatchable. My favourite part of any TV experience is discussing it with friends, and by this point, that's exactly what listening to an episode of Rewatchable feels like. The rotating panels of superfans and newbies offers a fun mix of perspectives and keeps things fresh, while the discussions range from hilarious to strikingly insightful (Mitch's crackpot theories and Natalie's analysis of Spike's characterisation are especially great). While I'll be sad to see the team wrap up the Buffyverse and move on, I look forward to seeing what show they embark on next.

I LOVE this podcast! I listen to you all while I’m at work and you make my day so much better! I’ve been a Buffy/Angel super fan for what feels like forever. I really enjoy hearing everyone’s opinions even if I don’t agree with some, and I love it when you all can make me see an episode I’ve seen a million times with a different viewpoint. Shout out to Natalie for her love of Spike (I too am obsessed with him), and to Mitch for all of his outlandish theories that sometimes come true(RAT AMY!!!). Keep on being awesome and making my day rock!

Im rewatching buffy now with my friend, and we just did the season two finale. Even on a rewatching the rewatch i love listening to you guys <3 I can't wait for the rest of season 6 (one of my favorites) and the wonderfulness of season 7 (my #1 favorite)

i stumbled across this podcast while on an international trip and the time change prevented me from sleeping. i absolutely love it. it is beyond delightful. if you're a fan of any of the shows they've covered, you need to listen. the hosts are wonderful and their conversations are thought-provoking and articulate. i plan on going back to listen to previously covered shows. you've got a fan forever! keep up the awesome!

I just started listening to this podcast because I am big buffy fan and I love how they have a mix of hosts both superfans and newbies and it makes the talks and discussions so diverse and so fun to listen to. The super fans are very well versed in show history and the newbies theories sometimes make me laugh so hard. I rec. this podcast to everybody! Check it out! I started listening for Veronica Mars and picked back up again for BtVS and Angel and I'm glad to be back! I find the range of opinions enjoyable -- *especially* from the newbies who are not always so enchanted by the show(s) -- and love the analysis provided. As a superfan of all the aforementioned shows, I always giggle at the predictions (high five, Mitch!) but appreciate the fresh perspectives that these hosts bring! I did have one issue with a recently departed host, who talked condescendingly _at_ the newbies and listeners about Xander and why we're all wrong about him (even superfans like me), the good/bad dichotomy, etc., and most confusingly at the only WoC about racism, but those issues are not the fault of the other podcasters who are always delightful and respectful. It's definitely worth your time, so check it out :)

As a Buffy fan I have thoroughly enjoyed this podcast especially the newbies perspective, however I could not rate this 5 stars for one reason...Natalie. I am sure she's a nice person, but whenever she is on it's like she is the only one talking. She totally takes over the podcast, not to mention constantly interrupting the others and I find myself having to fast forward her parts just to get through the podcast...Maybe she could not talk so much? Maybe let the others talk and not interrupt ?

First, I must apologize for only now reviewing this wonderful podcast on iTunes. Sorry guys, I honestly thought I had. But moving on from that travesty, I have to say that this is one of my favorite podcasts - ever. I love these guys so much. They're incredibly entertaining, opinionated, and intelligent. Their discussion is always on point, and you can tell they enjoy doing what they do. It might be a chore to put the podcast together, but when they record they have a great time. I've been with them since nearly the beginning, and I'll be with them until the end. Listen to this show NOW.

One of the best things about this podcast is the rotating cast of hosts who do the podcast. Its nice to get different views and opinions every time I listen to a podcast. Sometimes I will hear one of them say something that I disagree with and as I'm mentally preparing my reply, another host ends up saying what I wanted to say in my reply. I love that. Rewatching along with the podcast has made me think about the shows differently and has made me find out things that I missed the first time around. The chemistry and comraderie between the hosts is apparent and makes for an entertaining hour of rewatch awesomeness... or two hours when Mitch is on =).

I am a fan of many Hypable podcasts and this is no different. I love being able to go in depth in discussion on some of my favorite shows. Hearing what others have to say and making me think more about things.

I love this podcast. I enjoy the insightful talks about the show and the different dynamics. But I also love the little banter between all the hosts from time to time. I've only listened to the avatar and Korra podcasts because that was my favorite show growing up. I'm sad that Korra is coming to an end but I really do hope you guys do the comics it would give me so much joy. I do plan on going back to watch other shows just to have an excuse to listen to you guys. Love the podcast, keep it up!

This podcast is definitely one of my favorites that I have ever listened to. I found it as they were starting "Avatar: The Last Airbender" and ever since I have listened weekly! I love the concept of Superfans and Newbies in the podcast. It offers the listeners different levels of opinions on the material, some who are rewatching and have a vast knowledge of the show and some who may know nothing about the show except for what they have seen. It's just an awesome idea! Also, I love how they interact with their listeners. I talk to them frequently on Twitter as Avatar Central 😉 and they always either reply, favorite, or retweet. Everyone on the podcast does a super job! Now I am listening weekly with the Legend of Korra episodes and I find myself eager to find out their thoughts every week! This podcast is so great and I am happy that I found it!

I don't usually write reviews, but... Rewatchable deserves these 5 stars. The hosts are great and not only do they offer great discussion, but also just enjoyable listening. They are hilarious and the banter between them makes you feel like you are just hanging out with friends. I listen to a lot of podcasts and this one is probably one of my favorites. I absolutely love this podcast. Hypable podcasts are definitely my favorite, and this podcast is my favorite of all of them. It’s not only a great way to re-watch and discuss your favorite shows, but for those of us who ever never seen the shows, it’s great to hear the thoughts of already-fans and newbies. The hosts are also fantastic, as the shows are always interesting AND fun. There has yet to be an episode that hasn’t had me in tears from laughing. Here’s hoping this podcast goes on for a long while!

My new favorite podcast from not only Hypable, but from all podcasts (except maybe Serial). There’s an entertaining cast of podcasters who always know how to make me laugh while still be entertaining. Karen is my favorite host *coughcoughrewardcoughcough*. Keep up the good work rewatchers (is there a better name for you guys). And I can’t wait for the newbies reaction to the last 5 episodes.

I started listening to the podcast when they started Avatar, because, well, that's the only show they've done that I've actually watched, and I haven't regret it since. The host are funny, warm, insightful, and down-right awesome. Ariana's synyposis never fail to make me laugh; she's awesome. (Not playing any favorites because I enjoy EVERYBODY on the show, especially since I also listen to NATWP, and I've grown to love certain hosts) Amazing podcast, to summarize. P.S. I'm holding Karen to that promise. I want my stolen earthbender daggers.

Another great podcast from Hypable with both new and familiar voices! I love listening to the hosts discuss Avatar: The Last Airbender each week. I don’t have the time to actually rewatch the show (#gradschoolproblems), so listening to Karen, Brittney, Arianna, Mikal, Danya, Natalie, Mitch, et al. lets me enjoy the episodes all over again anyway! Also, it is so much fun to hear the newbies theorize about different aspects of the show…NO COMMENT. So thanks for letting me live vicariously through you guys as I listen on my way to and from school. You guys make those bus rides much more bearable and I look forward to the show each week.

Another great show from the hypable team! I’m currently listening to both the Veronica Mars and Avatar: The Last Airbender episodes and have listened to others in the past. The concept of the show, having both newbies and super fans, is unique and gives a great combination of views on character as well as individual episodes. I’m looking forward to the rest of the atla episodes and future shows!

I just finished Firefly and Veronica Mars with Rewatchable (I watched both shows at the same time-ish) and I'm about to embark on Pushing Daisies. I am a super fan of Firefly and Pushing Daisies and was a Newbie for Veronica Mars. It's fun being on both sides! I love the hosts and the fact that they seem to be having so much fun, which is why I continue to listen. The worst part about being behind though, is constantly wanting to comment after listening to an episode but knowing it wont matter since the 'cast I'm listening to aired a year ago, ha ha. Listen to this podcast. It's a fun way to rewatch (or watch for the first time) tv shows!

To boil it down to one word, this podcast is fun. A diverse cast of hosts get together once a week to talk about a television show they are watching together. It genuinely feels like hanging out with a group of pretty cool friends.

This is an excellent podcast, the hosts have very interesting conversations and great debates. There's a great balance of personalities. I also love that they are very reliable and always have an episode out every week! Love the Veronica Mars discussions and can't wait to find out what is next!

I just started listening to this podcast a few weeks ago because I heard about it on another podcast by Hypable "cough, Not Another Teen Wolf podcast.* I also happen to love Veronica Mars, so I started rewatching season 1 and listening to these podcasts. Even though this is my third time watching VM, I love all of the insight given by the hosts. It is fun to hear the theories of the newbies and to get a different perspective on a show that I love. I have listened to every episode and love watching along. This podcast made me discover Firefly which I love and now is reigniting my LoVe of Veronica Mars. My fav host is Mitch who always makes me laugh with his theories, jokes, and occasional singing.

I didn't get into Firefly the first time around, but my friends did. At last, thanks to the analysis on this podcast, I'm able to appreciate the Browncoat Phenomenon! And yeah, so far, I'm totally shipping Kaylie/Jayne.

I am so excited for this podcast. I have been OBSESSED with Firefly ever since my boyfriend got me into a few years ago. I am giving a five star rating out of pure joy that I have a reason to watch Firefly again (not that you ever really need one,but still). You mentioned that they aired the second episode, the Train Job, as the pilot episode. The fact is, the Train Job was not written and filmed until Fox asked Joss to to do so when they felt the pilot, "Serenity" was not full of action, which is just plain false mind you. Just wanted to clarify. Love any podcast about Firefly, and I am looking forward to hearing this podcast.
