    The best podcast.
I have been a member of the 12 1/2 since 2013, and it frankly saddens me to see what happened to this show. I did my annual relisten, and honestly, the writing was always on the wall. The first two years or so of this podcast are comedy gold, some of the best listening out there. But around 2015, the shift is noticeable. TJ began to get famous and the resentment from Cash is palpable in many episodes. The good vibes between them seem to evaporate as episodes become increasingly rushed, pressured, and immaturely cut off to wring out more content rather than simply following a good riff. Then in 2016, between starting a Patreon and the US elections, the entire tone of the show shifted to something different. TJ’s life since 2016 onwards, between fame and legal issues, has taken him in a very different direction. Listening to new episodes in 2023, it’s sad to see this once great show, with 90 minutes of extremely tight improv and callbacks, be reduced to 27 minutes of Cash trying to discourage TJ from riffing so they can rush through to plugging their Patreon and tour dates. If the passion died, then let the show rest. Cash even tried to start his own podcast at one point (Cash Withdrawal), but had such poor success with it that it got swept quietly under the rug. The state of the podcast now is an insult to the 12 1/2 who helped lift it up in its youth. I am no longer proud to say I’m a fan of this show. For what? I’m glad we still have those original 100 episodes, and I’ll always treasure them. But it gets harder and harder to revisit these later episodes.

    More Cash
Cash > Tj for sure. Tj’s definitely not as funny as he thinks he is.

    TJ's donkey mouth
Huge fan of the show, I've been a member of the 12.5 for years. But if I have to hear TJ's garbage mouth chomping down on his third slice-mistake one more time, I'm going to need to go pick up some febreeze for these peepers. It makes me want to flurn a table.

    No hat???
I love the show, but I wish cartoon TJ was wearing a hat in the logo like the other guy is!

    Once you’re in you’re in
Cash and his wide variety of guests alway manage to entertain, and anyone who hasn't listened should definitely give it a try. If you live in Atlanta and/or love Nancy Grace then you may not find this pod either hot or buttery. If you enjoy sophisticated falsetto and the occasional full-body release, you’ll find this podcast to be custom fit. I've been honored to call myself one of the 12 and 1/2 since the episode Cantaloupe Hands. I stopped listening for a couple years but I’m incredibly glad to see the episodes return. This is a recently updated review (May 2020) and if you take only one thing away from reading this please remember to let the wind do it’s job.

Hottest, spiciest, butteriest, tastiest pod out there. Get it while it’s hot
Cash and T.J. have been in my ear buds since 2014. All time favorite pod, every episode makes me happy and brightens my day. The many Cash Phrases and T.J. Quotable's I now use daily get me many laughs and confused looks from all who hear them. Proud to be in the 12 1/2!

    May not have recorded correctly
The latest pod played every 30 seconds on loop, it’s odd and annoying. Hilarious when good though

    Great stuff
Really enjoyed the most recent episode of you two chatting candidly in the car. I liked that there were no triple banger lightning rounds or any of the other stuff. Keep it to this format. The people want to hear you discuss more serious topics similar to the story about TJ translating in Peru!!

    HOLY SCHVITZ CLEVELAND Part 1 & 2
Best observations and depictions by anyone allowed to live to tell the story! “A DEAD-END STREET, A PRESUMED ABANDONED BRICK BUILDING, AN OMINOUS SECURITY GAURD FEEDING CATS FROM THE WINDOW OF HIS CAR” “A HUNDRED YEAR SLICE OF HISTORY, A GATEWAY TO THOUSANDS OF YEARS OF HEALTH, WELLNESS, BATHING & CAMARADERIE” “MEN OF EVERY AGE, FROM EVERY WALK OF LIFE... MEN I’D GO TO WAR WITH” “A LADIES DAY WITH INCREDIBLE WOMEN I’D GO TO WAR WITH!” “A HOT ROOM IN A HORRIBLE NEIGHBORHOOD” “YA GOTTA KNOW SOMEBODY WHO KNOWS SOMEBODY WHO KNOWS SOMEBODY!” End of story.

50 Sides to you Good Sirs
5 stars @ 10 sides per star = a Fifty Sides review. These two men deserve more than five stars, so I gave them fifty sides.

It’s great for just kickin’ it in your short Johnathans.
I like the audible part mostly. The visuals certainly leave something to be desired.

Absurdly the best. From tiny opinions, to practical living in the modern age.
I can’t understand why this podcast has plateaued at just 12 and a half listeners... The content is absurd, absurdly funny, and absurdly innovative. It’s three levels of Neville’s absurd. So put a handle on your iPhone, and make it into a terrible ladle, but as you are scooping soup, or whatever it is people scoop with iLadles these days, make sure you’re doing it while listening to Cash Levy and his OCCASIONAL special guest TJ Miller. Ok, I’m not going to lie to a prospective listener. TJ is Cash’s special guest in perpetuum, but it works out well for when Cash can’t score another guest. If you want to laugh, and see daily life events with a little bit of a skew on it? This podcast is for you.

    Great work!!
I just started to listening to podcasts, and the first one I listened to was Koi Pond with Jimmy O Yang. It was very funny and because I’m a big fan of Silicon Valley, Deadpool, and the Mucinex mascot (all T.J. Miller) I thought I would try to find one with him too. (The emoji movie was good too, but I’m a grown man and felt weird listing that as well..even if I did watch it by myself because my girlfriend fell asleep like she does during all movies). I’m late to the podcast world but this show is great! It is fantastic and I’m accidentally listening from newest to oldest (the phone decided that not me). They have many references from their older shows that I didn’t get until finally hearing them. However, when you realize where a reference came from you are like AH HA!! Or Shazingle!! I’m a big fan of T.J. Miller, and although I haven’t heard of Cash until now, he’s growing on me. They both do great work and are truly stand up guys. I haven’t met them but they both seem to be genuinely good people... Besides Cash when he’s “not the kind of guy” that throws away his own garbage.

    Call backs make me laugh
They should call this show “How to properly use call backs in the right way to make it funny” but I think that may be bit too long for a podcast title. That being said, love Cash and TJ! They’re a great duo and they make me laugh constantly!

    The 12 & ½ listeners agree- it’s life changing
Audiences coast to coast agree- this podcast changes one life every episode, and ruins a life every 12. If you like absurdity and Philosophy, (and ladle theory!), then you’re just strange enough to enjoy “Cashing in with T.J. Miller” the only podcast with host Cash Levy and frequent guest t.j. Miller- it’s unlike any other podcast if only because it’s not a slew of interviews but rather practical living for the modern age, questions of where we were, essential questions of human nature, triple banger lightning rounds, falsetto singing, cash phrases, analyzation of tweets and the final section… Ask the Masters a.k.a. “maskers” which is NOT questions about masks, but rather questions about anything that Cash and T.J., both masters of many trades and Jacks of None answering any and all questions on eart (submitted by listeners) in humorous and often unhelpful ways. It’s silly, it’s insightful, it’s absurdist, it’s philosophical, it’s incisive, and he will have you laughing out loud making others on the train, workplace, or dog track feeling uncomfortable in your presence. Join us and become one of the 12 1/2 listeners… Slightly over a dozen people can’t be wrong!

    The Best
Cash and TJ have really tapped into a vein of absurdity that other comedians and podcasters only wish they could. Hilarious every time. [insert random Cashing In reference, Yonderland perhaps?]

    12.5
This is my favorite thing. It seriously makes my (tues)day when a new episode gets dropped. I’ve even shown this podcast to my friends and it is now the go-to entertainment for road trips. I’ve heard every episode atleast 3x and I still laugh every time. When I listen at work, my co-workers check on me because I’m laughing so hard. Keep killin’ it. ❤️ 1 of 12 and a 1/2.
  • YetiKrueger
So good, even Nancy Grace will want to listen!
Listen, maybe this is an unfair review because I am one of the 12 & a half, but I couldn’t resist. This is the first podcast I ever got addicted to. I couldn’t wait for the new episodes every week. Even though the guys aren’t recording regularly anymore, when they do put out a new one, it never fails to please. The callbacks, inside jokes, and stories are hilarious. And if I can instill only one piece of advice that these men have taught me, it would be this: there are no chicken facials.
  • turtleturles
    Fantastic like a fox
This podcast is ripe with triple banger lightning rounds straight off the news wire, references to prior topics of conversation (with exception of the very first pod), groovy catch-phrases and a whole lotta TJ Miller, who manages to make you question his ear size.
  • LiButticus
    This podcast changed my life
I’m more of a Donkey and the Jeff kind of guy, but I decided to give podcasts a try, and this show really grabbed me from the first episode, it showed me what it takes to survive, to eat things that would make a bull goat puke. I’m forever a better person for having listened. Thank you Cash and TJ, I’ll see you both beyond the city lights of Yonderland.

    Best Kept Secret in Entertainment
I've never written a review on anything in my life. I've seen T.J. in various formats; never heard of Cash Levy. I can't get enough of these two. When I'm not listening, I'm matriculating to the waterfront. #fellasyouknowwhatimtalkingabout

    There are no chicken facials
I don't understand that "maskers" section, because it seems like they give really mixed responses. Half of the time T.J. just screams at us, and the other half of the time they give really awesome or terrible advice. Whatever it is, it's hilarious and I love these guys. I love being a fly on this wall!
