    Much improved.
I’m so glad Parkins is gone. He was such a tool that added no value to the show. Holmes is really the star of the whole lineup on the score. Anyone he’s with will shine.

    Baseball is boring
This is a play on the single worst interview I’ve ever heard on WSCR. Whoever interviewed Michael Kooech should be relegated to intern work, collecting sound after a game. Wow!! Amateur hour at it’s finest

    Spiegel is the worst……
and now he has a partner to match. These two are by far the worst two that have ever been on the Score. Spiegel has been fired multiple times but hangs around until the bottom of the barrel needs to be scraped. Holmes is even worse than Spiegel. Holmes is a smug know it all who should do us all a favor and quit. The Score used to be worth listening to, those days left with Parkins.

    Spiegs & Holmes
I’m really enjoying this combo so far, and I think they’ll only get better as they develop more chemistry.

All good things come to an end
Spiegs, Parko, Tanny, and Shane… I’m not a great writer but will do my best.. I’ve been a score listener since the early 2000’s and fell in love with the station from day 1. From B&B to the wise guys and through my relocation to Texas 5 years ago, Parkins and Spiegal. Not a day has gone by when I haven’t listened to your show on the Audacy app from my office. The entertainment all 4 of you have provided me and so many others is and will be unmatched. It took me a bit to welcome Parkins as a new member of the score lineup but once he got his legs, he quickly became my favorite host in Chicago. You guys assembled such a great team and created must listen radio for me. The hit guest segments with Wanny, Jaylon, Nico, Counsel (and so many more) to the raw silliness of categories, the Goodfellas treatments, Danny’s helpless home disasters.. this show helped me and so many others get through tough times in life and was a needed 4 hour break from reality. Sad, upset, and angry for me (selfishly) it’s coming to and end but beyond thrilled for a local Chicago guy in Parkins success and growth as a true king pin in the world of sports entertainment. It truly felt like hanging out with my close friends every afternoon even though I never met any of you in person. Bummed for Shane and Tanny who make this show happen every day and for Spiegs who seems to always be the guy rotating jobs/partners. A true team player and great perspective on all things sports and interests he has outside of sports. As I process and work through my own emotions with the news of this show coming to a close, I will be reminding myself not to be sad it’s over, but appreciative it happened. Cheers to new beginnings. Thank you for letting us into your lives and thank you even more for playing a big part in mine. - David in College Station, Tx.

    Best show in the city!
When the Score started, it was humorous dialogue all day long. Now the morning and mid day shows are a bunch of angry old men that never have an ounce of fun. David Haugh is sucking the life out of this station. Parkins and Spiegel are the last bastion of the old Score and it’s great. It’s sport talk for goodness sake…have fun with it!

Best Sports Talk Show in Chicago
I’ve been a fan and listener of Parkins & Spiegel ever since the show started in 2017 (totally different show), and have listened to at least a portion of every episode since then. I particularly gravitate to Parkins since we’re about the same age and I agree with many of his takes (I mean, he was only 3 months ahead of the rest of Chicago on Caleb Williams being drafted by the Bears) but I love the whole show. Chris and Shane are also integral to the show, it would literally not be the same without them. My only complaint about the show is that they sometimes “rush” through some of their recurring segments, such as Categories or Parkins vs Parkins vs Spiegel vs Spiegel. I ALWAYS want those segments to be longer, feel free to give them more room to breathe! I just want to add, that since I’m writing this review on draft day, I am giddy with excitement for Tanny to play the drop “well, it is draft day” . Please play it as many times as humanly possible, it cracks me up every time. Also, my other favorite more recent drop is the “you should know his name!”, which I could use more of as well. But that’s just me. Seriously, love you guys, please keep up the great show! Sam

    How?
    Immature, disrespectful behavior.

    Yuck
Their combined IQs MAY be in the three digit range. So unoriginal they can’t fill 4 hours with their own material but have to take sound bites from other shows earlier in the day which aren’t much better than theirs. They’re the kings of lobbing softball questions at their guests, bringing go along get along journalism to new lows. Hard to believe the third largest market in country has to put up with stiffs like these two.

    Episodes loaded backwards
Since last Thursday I believe the podcasts have been loaded backwards on the Bernstein and Holmes show and the Parkins and Spiegel shows. I’ve always had the settings on newest to oldest and it would line up perfectly, now it’s in reverse order which isn’t allowing the episodes to play in order from bottom to top! I’ve unsubscribed re-subscribed deleted app reinstalled I even did a software update! Is anyone else experiencing this? My other podcasts I’m subscribed to are fine and have updated their shows in the original format, so I’m wondering if it’s the score doing this. If it’s a mistake I just hope they fix it soon.

    Dump Shane
Literally zero people want to hear the producer talk. The show is called Perkins and Spiegel. Turn off that clowns mic. Talk more sports. It’s a shame how far this station has fallen.

    Best sports show in Chicago!!!
Show is phenomenal. Love how easy they feed off of each other & talk like buddies at a bar. Favorite sports show in Chicago!!!

    Competent smart sports coverage
I live in Indianapolis and listen to 670. They actually hire intelligent articulate people… amazing!

    Good Reliable Radio
If you like to be entertained, laugh, and learn some things with a Chicago sports angle, this show will not disappoint. The haters who amuse themselves by trying to take shots at these amusing but innocuous radio talk show hosts are not bright enough to realize they are part of the bit.

    Horrendous
Wow the Score has really descended quickly. Here is a team that is absent of a #1

    Meh
I applaud Parkins’ ability to be both unlikeable and annoying. Shane and Tanny are great. Met Spiegs at The Wire in Berwyn.

Entitled? Thin-skinned? At one time? Woah
Bad. meatpants is as thin skinned and whiney as anyone still trudging through the dinosaur that is terrestrial radio. Failed musician continues to wax poetic about nothing. Knob. Sparkins is a stoner whose only sports knowledge is related directly to gambling. A spoiled, entitled narcissist who has declared listeners u worthy to call in and speak to him. Bag. What else could the show use? A ‘producer’ with a wildly high opinion of himself and his importance/rep? You got it. For a bonus, no one laughs (loudly) at his own 1/10 quips! Tool. The only true bright spot is the sound man Tanny, who is sadly tethered to the three pudwhacks above. A genuinely nice guy, with amazing sound skills, who realizes that being an obnoxious jackass isn’t necessary. To put a nice bow on it, these crankshafts find it good form to bribe listeners with free White Sox tickets in exchange for a 5 star review. Hang in there Tanny, at some point the powers that be will realize they can do better with this time a lot. Easily.

I love this show/podcast! The reunited duo of Danny and Matt jokes that Parkins & Spiegel is an entirely different show from Spiegel & Parkins, and in some ways, I think it is true. They have the best sound guy on Chicago sports radio, Chris Tannehill, who Danny rightfully points out at the end of every show, "makes us sound better than we are, each and every day." Parkins has come into his own and firmly established himself as the top guy at 670 The Score. Spiegs brings out the best in Parkins, and the addition of executive producer Shane Riordan rounds out the cast nicely for a very enjoyable listen.

    Love the Show
Love listening to Parkins and Spiegel on my way home from work, it’s my go to during my hour plus commute. The podcast is great to catch up on content that I may have missed. Shane Riordan and Chris Tannehill also provide great banter and perspective.
  • Jayt136703
    Best show on sports radio
The chemistry between the entire show is absolutely amazing! You get hard hitting analysis and sports opinions. Plus, fantastic “off the rails” moments that will make you laugh for hours. If you aren’t listening to this show, you really should. Best host team of Danny Parkins and Matt Spiegel. Best sound guy in Chris Tannehill. Best executive produce in Shane Riordan. Best all around sports talk show ever on radio.

    mob.
Frankly, I'm depressed and ashamed this show doesn't have 5 stars already. Parkins and Spiegel are both former members of the legendary Spiegel and Parkins show. Parko is Spiegs 83rd co-host & they've been doing this since time immemorial. No one gets bigger stars to interview than the guy they have on the phones either. They've spoken to Max Rustipher, Cesar Rodriguez, and Marlins Man just to name a few. Chris Tannehill also makes them sound better than they are each and every day. Easily the best show in Chicago

Mildly informative and a wild ride
I listen everyday. Thanks for posting the episodes asap so I don’t have to suffer through the Audacy app.

    DO NOT MISS
I’m not able to listen real-time due to my job so I listen to the podcasts. It’s Thursday and I’m listening to the Monday show. Don’t misunderstand, I follow sports incessantly and I keep up but this show is more than sports. I fell behind but won’t just get to the currents shows. I don’t miss a minute of every show and make sure I go back and listen to them in order. Love it!!
  • Nikki Ferrante
    Disappointing and sleazy
Parkins, the obsessive gambler, joined by Spiegel, whose desperation to keep his job is palpable. Partnering the self-important and entitled with the neurotic and thin skinned. Parkins boasts of cheating on exams in school and Spiegel seems to think that the Holocaust is something to joke about. But if you enjoy interviews with washed-up “celebrities”, this is the show for you.
  • Ryanj112111
    Excellent, intelligent and funny.
One of these guys must have listened to the Tony K show. So self referential. It’s great

    Solid Show
Best sports talker in Chicago despite what some of the cry babies in the reviews wanna say. Fun and laughs are had most every day I listen, which helps me get through my work week. The real star of the show is Chris Tannehill with his drops and subtle, yet hilarious quips. Also have to say, I hated to see Shep go, but Shane has brought a lot of energy to the show and it is better for it. Parkins and Speigs were really coming into their own on mid-days, and I look forward to their renewed partnership in the afternoon slot.

    Uninspired hire
Spiegs again? I feel like he gets all these feel bad for him positions because he’s a good team guy... would have loved to have heard rongey here

Love the chemistry between Parkins and Harrison
I know it was a tough situation for Carrington to come into on day one but I think they are really entertaining together and seem to have a lot of chemistry.

    I Love Ramie
Great show, and I love this week’s guest host, Ramie! So funny but he actually makes good points too. You should keep him around! I loved his high school Walter Payton story.

    Meh
I enjoy listening to McNeil but Parkins needs to go. The guy talks like he is an expert on topics not related to sports and it’s blatantly obvious he has no idea what he is talking about. I was a listener of the program for about a year but I had to stop listening due to Parkins’s annoying voice. Spiegel would be a better fit for the show.
  • Serene Sparrow
    Worst show on The Score
Between McNeil’s obvious preference to talking about music, drugs and porn and Parkins not having an actual opinion on anything, this show is consistently the hardest thing to listen to on 670. How it has an average rating of 4.5 is beyond me.
  • Illini Guy 16
    Best Show on the Score
I love the goofy chemistry between Mac and Parkins. It makes for a lot of funny and entertaining segments. Please bring back can’t do it!!!

    Podcast Consistency?
I’m a daily listener but it’s really frustrating when the podcast upload schedule is inconsistent. Sometimes it’s fast, sometimes it’s a day late, sometimes the last hour is completely skipped / forgotten. Please just try to be more consistent. I love the podcast!!
  • Paul Switzer
    Best show on the Score
Easily the best show on the Score and the only one I listen to. I agree with Dementus and that they need to do a better job uploading their podcasts.
  • Lord Dementus!
    Upload podcasts more consistently
I really like this show, and that’s why it bugs me when they don’t upload their podcasts at the same time everyday. Sometimes it’s not until days later and sometimes it’s as each hour of the show ends. Sometimes the first two hours are uploaded immediately but the rest of the show never comes. They tease the next segment and I’m there holding my jockstrap (to use a sports term). Its unreliable and it makes it more difficult to listen and enjoy. I work when it’s live and I never know when it will be available. I don’t know what intern or producer who’s job it is to do this but they need a stern talking to. This criticism comes from a place of love though. What if you were a huge Law and Order fan and it aired at a different time every night so you couldn’t count on it or plan ahead? What then?!?!? I rest my case. Get it?... law and order?.... rest my case?... eh? Yeah you get it.
  • Bad Boy Phil
    Parkins
How can Parkins, a guy so thin, have many a many a chin? Mac is a legend, Parkins not so much.
  • XMR user
    Sad
McNeil is great as usual. Parkins is a punk. The Score will never go back to its glory days.
