    Favorite podcast!
I look forward to this podcast every week! Great hosts, great guests, great content. Highly recommend!

    Hosts are awful
I love the guests. They’re so amazing and dong great things and I love hearing from them. The hosts are insufferable unfortunately they spend the first 30 minutes of each episode talking about uninteresting things from their weeks, talking down on the non-vegans they encountered that week, and just being unpleasant to each other. They also interrupt their guests too much. Just skip to the interview portions.

    So fun and great information!
This is the one of my very most favorite podcasts! Jasmin and Mariann are dynamic, funny, brilliant and quite irreverent in the best way. The variety of speakers and topics each week are presented very well! Both Jasmin and Mariann are great interviewers.

    Essential Listening for Animal Advocates
I’ve been active in the animal rights world for about 12 years, and Our Hen House is one of two podcasts I consider essential listening to stay up-to-date with what is happening in this movement. Jasmin Singer and Mariann Sullivan are thoughtful and entertaining interviewers; while their interviewees, from diverse backgrounds and professional specializations, are consistently pioneering and thought-provoking.

    Obsessed with this podcast!
Jasmin and Mariann are so fun to listen to. The guests are fascinating and the way Jasmine and Mariann interview provokes such great conversations, provides valuable new information, and continually validates my choice to live a compassionate life. Being the only vegan in my family and at work, Jasmine and Mariann help me feel as though I am not alone in this journey and that they are as frustrated as I am with the cruelty that persists in our society. Moreover, they give me hope and inspiration by hearing the stories of other activists. Thank you Jasmine and Mariann for all you do!

    Smart, compassionate, needed
Glad to see this podcast to give a voice to researchers who are theorizing and studying how to help nonhuman animals live free of exploitation and killing — solutions to sharing the world with our animal kin.

This is the best vegan podcast EVER!
Never mind the title of this review…Our Hen House is the BEST PODCAST (not just vegan) ever. Engaging. Educated. Fun. Important. Everything that is good in the world…giving voice to all of the changes that need to occur. Bravo!

    Highly recommend!
This is my favorite vegan podcast and I never miss an episode since I found it! They always have great discussions about current vegan-related events, and I’ve found that listening to the guests gives me inspiration for actions I can take in my own life to get active for helping animals.

    True community
The podcast and Flock community are top notch! Listeners are invited to schedule meetings with the host and join monthly calls. We all need community for our activism to flourish!

    Amazing and unique!
I’ve been looking for a new podcast to binge listen to for awhile. As a long time animal lover and vegan for a few years I feel like I’ve learned a lot about this topic. Looking for new vegan content after voraciously learning about animal rights for a decade I was so surprised and delighted to find a podcast with more than 600 episodes on many different topics of veganism I’ve never even heard about! I love these long episodes that never fail to entertain and make me think.

    smart, spontaneous, entertaining
Just listened to a few older podcasts, catching up, and thought (for the 10th time) you two are really good at this! The way you both turn interviews into conversations, while still keeping the focus on the guest and their insights. Smart, spontaneous, entertaining and emotionally engaged. Well done! Thank you!

    Engaging and Uplifting
Our Hen House is a must-listen for anyone interested in the animal rights movement or curious about veganism. Jasmin and Mariann are thoughtful, funny, and skilled at discussing animal welfare-related issues in ways that always leave me feeling more engaged and actually hopeful about the state of the movement and the world at large. Guests are diverse and inspiring and reflect the interconnectedness of human and nonhuman rights and justice. Thanks to all involved for this reliable balm of sanity and grace🙏💚

Don’t let the title fool you
This is no small-time podcast where vegans commiserate in a "safe place." Marianne is a whip-smart lawyer on top of all things animal related, and Jasmin is a brillaint and eloquent all-around activist. Don’t miss the closing segment, "Rising Anxieties." It will lift the spirits of even the most depressed vegan.

    A Must-Listen :)
I adore this podcast. It is two wonderful and brilliant people talking about issues that really matter, interviewing fascinating and inspiring guests, and somehow helping you feel hopeful even in the face of complex crises. I listen every single week and highly recommend!

    I am in love!
I love Our Hen House! Just as I feel about going vegan, I wish I had found this sooner! A week ago when searching podcasts I searched Animal instead of Vegan and found Mariann Sullivan’s Animal Law podcast, WOW, I was hooked! Then I heard about Our Hen House from her show. After bingeing on five of the earliest Animal Law episodes I could get, I checked out, Our Hen House. Again, WOW! The show I have been manifesting in my mind already has existed for 11 plus years and has almost 600 episodes!! What? Where have I been, under a rock?! I have been Vegan for five years now. THIS is the show I have been dreaming of. I cannot recommend this podcast enough. I love Jasmin and Marriann equally, they bring such a great balance. And amazing voices. I became a monthly donor within less than a week of discovering their show. This podcast is priceless. I have already incorporated the show into my daily routine. I listen as I get ready, I listen as I walk and it’s great to listen to while doing yoga. Thank you, fabulous, animal-loving ladies, your podcast is what I’ve needed. Thank you for your dedication! Nearly 600 Our Hen Houses! and 70 Animal Law podcasts! Impressive. I am in awe. Meta to you both. Please keep going.

Best source about the animal protection movement
Listening to Our Hen House is my favorite way of keeping tabs on the animal protection movement! They interview amazing activists and are great at asking questions that are both supportive and encouraging as well as probing enough so that the interviewee shares their experience and perspective with depth. This is one of a few podcasts that I listen to every week.

What I like most about this podcast is listening to interviews from a wide range of vegan industry innovators. Mariann Sullivan and Jasmin Singer, their guests, and the amazing team at Our Hen House never fail to inspire me. Check it out!

Join the Flock and get even more community and support! The interviews and information you get from this podcast are amazing! Mariann and Jasmin are fantastic!!

1# podcast for the animals, environment, and & human rights
I love how this podcast is primarily for the animals but finds a way to incorporate all injustices which do include the human animal. Jasmin and MaryAnn make you feel like you are in their company having a conversation about current events in the animal world ... they curse , they laugh, they bicker .... they are 100% authentic and I ❤️them for that. Keep up the amazing work of 10 years on continuous reporting ... forever a supporter

All you need to know about Animal Rights activism with an intersectional lens
I love OHH! They’re the only vegan podcast I’ve found that makes deliberate space for connecting the dots between different forms of oppression. I love that they partnered with Encompass and Sentient Media to explore the necessity of the pursuit of racial justice within animal advocacy. They also make a point of having international guests to spotlight activists around the globe. Bonus that the podcast is helmed by LGBTQ-identified folks. These hens rocks!

I love the content, guests, hosts, topics, humor, seriousness, education, and I’m so happy I can binge on the episodes every day. I really like Anxieties Rising - Maryann is lovely! I don’t feel so alone when I listen to Jasmin and Maryann. Love!

    Absolutely LOVE this podcast!!!
I started listening to this podcast over 3 years ago and I haven’t missed a week since. Jasmin and Mariann make me laugh, make me think, and I’m constantly learning something new. The interviews are incredible and the chemistry between Jasmin and Mariann constantly makes me smile. For those of us vegans who want to stay in the loop, this is the podcast to listen to. Don’t forget to listen all the way to the end because the best moments are in Mariann’s segment “Anxieties are RISING!” Thank you Mariann and Jasmin for being there for us every week.

    Top fave podcast
I have to listen every Saturday! I love Jasmin and Mariann’s relationship, getting to learn about all the amazing things being done to help animals, and of course the ridiculous rising anxieties! I wish so much that I could be part of the flock and I will one day (hopefully near future). My family is currently in dire financial straits, but it’s on my plan and will soon be on my budget. $10/month is really not a bad deal at all and I recommend anyone who is able should do it to support media and get some bonus content! I’m looking forward to it!

This is a great podcast, highlighting vegan and animal rights issues. Lots of interesting and provocative guests. I especially love listening to the co hosts discuss their week and banter a bit. It’s like having a few friends over while I’m doing my chores.

Jasmin and Marianne - a force in the vegan movement
I love the podcast, the guests they interview, the authentic conversations they have on so many subjects, and the difference they are making in the world with the information they bring to their listeners. This is one of my favorite podcasts! Role models for sure.

Educational, fun, relaxing all in one!
I have a 45 minute commute each way to work and OHH is my companion. Relaxing, fun, supportive, educational. These ladies serve an important need to keep vegan advocates educated, informed, motivated and inspired. Critical for our movement, for the animals.
  • Idatew
    Best vegan news podcast!
I love the breadth and depth of this podcast and the easygoing back-and-forth between Jasmin and MaryAnn. They’re bright and funny. I like how they address not only the current issues but, sometimes, take a hard look at others’ - and their own - coverage of them. I look forward to it every week.

The only podcast I never miss!
I love Our Hen House! It's a great way to keep up with vegan news and animal rights issues I care about. I feel more connected to the world around me, and the vegan community as whole, because of this wonderful show. Jasmin and Mariann really have the ability to make me laugh and feel hope even in the midst of hearing painful news and updates that would otherwise made me cry. Thank you so much for your podcast, it's changed my life. I'm a loyal fan for life!

    Such a gem!!
Ive listened to Our Hen House since the beginning and it just keeps getting better! I love the intersectionality of the discussions, Ive learned SO much! And speaking as someone who struggles with feeling hopeful about the state of animals in this world, Our Hen House is a sparkler in a dark room and is constantly making me feel hopeful and that this fight is worth keeping up because we can do it! And the segment 'Rising Anxieties' proves that we ARE doing it! With tremendous help from resources like Our Hen House :) Its also hard sometimes to be the only vegan in the room, or the family, or the class and being able to pop my headphones on and listen to people speak about animals as if their lives have meaning beyond our desires for their bodies and babies... Its valuable beyond words. Ok, what else... I love the occasional cursing, I love the banter, I love the guest choices, uh, such a GEM!! Also highly recommend Jasmins book 'Always Too Much and Never Enough' (read by the author) and the Animal Law Podcast that Mariann does!!

    Excellent and Varied Podcast
I look forward to this podcast every Saturday afternoon and evening. In an area where there are few vegans it is an oasis in my week. I disagree with those that thought it was too long before. I liked it that way. The interviews are excellent , especially when the topic is more centered on the animal liberation theme and not tangential issues like intersectionality. Thanks, Mary Ann and Jasmin. ................VV
