    Grateful ☸️
Im so very grateful to have found this podcast! I listen to many Buddhist teachers on various sites over the years but just found this one. I have read Gil Fronsdale’s books and he is full of dharma wisdom. But listening to his talks, especially when he answers student questions really embodies for me the wisdom, mindfulness and metta that Buddhism represents. His talks are truly jewels. Many thanks to all involved for these precious teachings 🙏🏼

    Thank you, IMC
Gil and the entire teaching staff at IMC are so important to me. These lectures and meditations have helped me immensely and brought great comfort and presence to my life. I can’t remember when I started listening (at least 12 years ago) but Gil feels like the wisest dharma dad to me. He helps me calm down, stay present, and forgive myself when I epically fail at adulting. So ,inch gratitude for the gift of these teachings. ❤️

    Life transforming
I’ve been listening to Gils podcast for a decade now since my mid 20s and it has transformed my life by bringing - peace when I didn’t see a way forward in my life and simply felt stuck - awareness to my thoughts and feelings and not allowing them to boss me around - discipline in my practice but also in life Cannot recommend it enough. Initially, I was skeptical and criticized & questioned many of the episodes, and after roughly 3-6 months of practice, when I got rid of my cynicism - I began to learn, be present, and transform my life. Still am transforming it today. Thank you for bringing peace to my life and for teaching me how to allow it to come into my life. “When you’re at peace, you bring peace to the world”

    Amazing and
Wow so much value in your offerings. Teachings combined with SO many meditations. My only request is that you set a main picture— I’d hate for people to not listen and without a picture they might not think it’s up to date. That’s where my anxiety goes :) I want everyone to give it a try to see if it resonates with where they are on their path! Thankyou so much for your study and talks Gil <3!!!

    This is my favorite podcast
Discovering audiodharma has sent me on a transformative path and has provided me with such wisdom and has helped me through my suffering during my early twenties. Gil is such an inspiration to me and is honestly my all time hero. I would not be where I am without this knowledge. I love his ordinariness and humility in his stories that related to the lectures, he is very relatable. I really enjoy listening to Buddhist philosophy through his interpretations of life experiences. For example, as a little practice to integrate into daily living, he talks about setting an intention to be present for people you encounter at the grocery store—instead of rushing and being impatient while waiting in line, instead acknowledge the people around you and use it at as a time for practice. One day I hope to attend a lecture in person.

    excellant teacher
Gil is an insightful, humerous, and a gifted teacher. Living rurally, I'm so thankful for his teachings because there are no buddhist centers around. I struggle with mental health issues and his podcasts help with more useful thinking or letting go of the intrusive thoughts. Thank you Gil.

Top Notch - Humble and down to earth
I've been listening to Gil's talks for several years now, and it feels like he's an older, wiser brother. He has a way of taking the sometimes complicates aspects of the Dharma and explaining them in a way that makes sense to the lay person. Very highly recommended, regardless of your experience with Buddhism.

    Precious, accessible teachings!
Gil, through his talks, has helped me through tough times and many difficult moments. I don't know the guy but I am so thankful for his wisdom and ability to speak to me. (His talks are given freely but you can donate if you desire. I have no idea what Bumble633 is referring to.)

Words, insights, stories that make a big difference
After 3 years, I continue to find several things Gil talk about available for recall in key junctures- to see things more softly, make choices, hold thoughts and feelings a wee bit more deliberately and occasionally even step out of my own stories. These simple, unassuming talks are a gift. Thank you.

    Thanks, Gil
I have been downloading Gil's podcasts for about 5 years now. His talks have made such a difference in my life. Living in an area where it is challenging to find Buddhist teachers and resources, these podcasts have been such a great addition to my spiritual journey. Thanks, Gill for making the dharma available, engaging and accessible.

    Gil rocks!
I love the fact that he is always on point and frequently funny too. I also love that that he teaches and talks about the practice in a lively, active way. Meaning he does not advocate passivity and meekness but to be engaged, honest, upfront and to speak up. Buddhism is a living practice and he gives clear guidance about what to expect from within the practice.

    Life-changing
Wonderful lessons filled with practical advice. Gil introduced me to Buddhism and changed my life....and I've never met him! There isn't a theravadan center near me, so I think of IMC as my sangha.

    Great Speaker - Practical Buddhism
Gil is a wonderful speaker. Very down to earth and interesting. Normally you wouldn't refer to Buddhist talks as entertaining, but Gil has a way of keeping you engaged while he speaks that makes you feel "entertained", but in a good way. He exudes the compassion that is at the center of Buddhist practice.
  • msjovet
    Love Gil
Gil has a way of getting the message across with humor and true humanism. He's the greatest teacher on the iPhone.
  • Emeritus Professor
    The Best Lecturer
There is no better lecturer than Gil Fronsdal on Buddhist thought, The Lists of which The Buddha was so fond, clarifying thought and behaviours, and The Path. His lectures are clear, on message, enjoyable and frequently humorous.
