    More like boring runner’s take
These guys really like smelling their own farts

    Strong start…
I was super excited for the direction of the show after the New Year episode. Equating trail running to skate culture did it for me! I couldn’t put my finger on the culture, busy Josh nailed it! Dirtbags being dirtbags with their dirtbag buddies. We started off strong down that path, but by February we were back to talking about the same stuff as every other trail podcast (nutrition, gear, pro events, etc.) and the new league that makes me think of dudes doing handstands on skateboards in 70s competitions. Keep trail running in the underground…skating backyard pools with your buddies before the cops come…less X-Games.

    Dean K.
Just listened to dean episode. A lot of old school ultra runners don’t want the commercialization that he brought. I enjoy your perspective but find it interesting that you only seem to think about popularizing and mainstreaming the sport. Does everything have to move that way? I wonder how many runners really care about livestreams and hype.

It gets even better with every episode!
Just when I think Josh has peaked, it keeps getting better! I love every episode and it really grabs at the heart of running. It hits the best of what running is and really brings to light the experiences and feelings in the back of your mind to reality.

    The style of intrigue
Josh Rosenthal has a speaking style and interviewing style, which is very unique. it keeps you captivated with the little tiny, simple things as well as big and beautiful things that inspire him and all of us. His passion for the sport allows for him to explore the deepest darkest corners of trail running and I’m all here for it because of his style. I’m 10 years older than Josh and he allows me to consider a career and trail running for another 25 years. Thank you Josh

    More Brian
I love the podcast… but I have a fever and the only prescription is more Brian! This is a nice fresh perspective on running with this pod. Bravo yall

I am particularly fond of the “bad runners take” episodes, as a bad runner with many takes of my own.

Fascinating, relevant, wide ranging…oh and running.
I listen to every episode and I continue to be impressed, episode after episode, with how Josh makes the topic interesting and relatable. Keep pushing the conversation because I’m enjoying it!

    New favorite running podcast
Been running trails and ultras since 2006 and have listened to ALL the related podcasts. So many new ones coming out that are really just cliques talking amongst themselves. Lots of navel grazing and content uninteresting to the average participant. I’m a fan of the sport but my main draw is as a participant. This podcast strikes a nice balance for those who care about the sport but find meaning in being out on the trails pushing our limits.

    Want real? Here it is
Want to listen to someone keeping it real? What to hear the answers or conversation about the questions we all have? You found it. Love this podcast and all it stands for.

Honest, vulnerable, inspiring. People need to listen
This is my new favorite pod. I’m not a big runner and still find this very entertaining. The durability of the mind, not the body, is what is so interesting to hear from different perspectives. Josh creates a space in these shows to reveal the people behind these wild physical events and isn’t shy to ask the questions that average Joe’s want to know. I’m finding application of different mindsets of the guests in different areas of my life that have nothing to do with running.
