Try “Try This”! Seriously, do it!
I can’t stop recommending this podcast to friends. It covers important, universally relevant topics-good sleep, positive social interactions, and preparing food-and aims to help you achieve or improve them. The episodes, which are well-researched and presented with the help of experts in their fields, quickly set the context before giving you practical things to consider or test out. They are efficient and effective, as well as enjoyable. I can’t wait for them to release more!

Good series, add vegetables on plate as part of daily routine
Cooking made easier and less stressful. The older i get, the more i dislike cooking as a daily necessary function. The whole shebang of planning, shopping, having energy to prep and then feeling like cooking when the hour comes has become a real drag. I did pick up a few helpful hints here. The old notion of having a repertoire of several meals to tweak was a really good reminder for me. The missing part in this little series was the task of putting a meal together as opposed to just one quick dish. It strikes me that WaPo recipe/cooking consultants and advisors don’t take into consideration the idea that meals should pay attention to composition, i.e., more vegetables on plate rather than just protein and carbs. Maybe i’m wrong but i don’t think just pizza or a pasta with red sauce is a healthy composition for a meal.

    No thanks.
I’m a visually Washington Post subscriber. Ads for this podcast load before almost every robo-narrated article. I’ve heard the same ad so many times that I have no interest in learning more about improving my daily life - which would be greatly improved if the ads would just stop.

    Move To The Next Level
I enjoyed the Podcast as helping frame the whys of my love for cooking and also showing me ways to take some of the pressure off. I do think it would be helpful to take it to the next level. For example, walk through a grocery store and model putting a fast and satisfying meal together that includes shortcuts but also requires some technique. I love to challenge myself, but there are times I need to be more practical, talk about how to incorporate both in very specific ways. Also, do some of the best options for creating variety from a base, such as soups and salads. For example, an easy homemade dressing and more time-saving options for the veggies and protein or grain salads. I would like more direction on specific recipes.

ptsd has hurt my health. I thought these podcasts are so insightful.
These short little podcasts are so powerful. I just wish they were represented or represented showing how PTSD makes all of this even worse and I was victim of a violent crime at a doctors office and Soho New York City the behavior should've been punished and there should've been a rest and accountability instead, there are more crimes committed sending me the message that I'm not even safe at a doctors that I don't have basic human rights and the attack began with me being yelled at that I have no rights from behind a closed off medical reception desk by perpetrator, but there were so many more crimes committed, including conspiring to make all crimes disappear and to do that you have to falsify police reports and a lot more so imagine how that would impact the topics you're discussing. I feel like I'm dying of PTSD and the fallout and I'm not the only one? I think of victims, false arrested found guilty of crimes that commit when they're finally exonerated years later they die of heart attacks, not even even collecting money from the lawsuits.

Great, brief nuggets that you can take away and use
People who listen to this are likely struggling with a problem, so you’re going to get a more-than-casual audience. I like that the podcast offers succinct explanations and practical recommendations—too many self-help stories are heavy on the problem description and light on solutions. I also like that they are rigorously evidence-based: we want to know that what we are trying has some data behind it. It also discusses the common over-the-counter solution, melatonin, with some cautionary notes. Finally, what I would have wanted to hear about but didn’t: the role of evening eating in sleep, with recommendations; and the effects of alcohol or cannabis consumption on sleep.

    This podcast is amazing but…
I love this podcast because it not only gives me advice but it also tells me what I’m doing wrong and how it affects me. When I’m trying out these strategies Lisa was spot on! I’ve been trying these pre-sleeping exercises and have been sleeping like a baby. Although, the music and sound effects is a bit too much. I sometimes listen to this podcast whilst I attempt to sleep. Overall this was amazing and keep up the good work.

Great show, easy short course format!
Really enjoying the content and format of the show. So far, host Cristina Quinn and sleep therapist Lisa Strauss, are great. Especially appreciated their easy, behavioral ideas to improve sleep. Looking forward to learning more courses!

    great content, lose the music
the host is wonderful, and the first series on sleep is excellent. excited about this podcast, but please lose the music and sound effects. they’re terribly distracting and cheapen the listening experience.

    Sweet sleep
The sleep shows could’ve been one episode, plus the narration between each point was annoying. Too bad you have to pay for a subscription. But I enjoyed the ones that are free.

    Helpful and an easy listen
Nice to have something with these kinds of topics that doesn’t drone on endlessly. If you have anxiety about sleep, this course is worth listening to

    Sleep
The minute I started listening I started yawning ! I listened all five in a row last night they were full of good helpful ideas and I was shocked when I woke up at 7:30 when I usually wake up at 4:30am.

    Annoying sounds and transitions
I think I could really like this series, but the music is really annoying. And the transitions between different parts of the same episode made me question at one point if I was listening to the same episode. Not exactly sure but they aren’t smooth or logical.
