I am always trying to improve my craft, but especially now that I am working on something story-shaped, this podcast is my go-to! I have several episodes saved and have listened to those eps dozens of times (misbeliefs, seven-layer plot dip, and but-so salsa are always in top rotation, but I honestly love them all). This heals the part of me that feels like I’m falling short, helps me understand why some parts of my writing might not be working, and always gets my brain thinking about my writing. I love it - these gals are approachable, hilarious, and have such great insights.

Imagine you had writer friends who were a psychologist and a teacher with experience in the Author world. Pretend they are wonderful communicators and silly and chill. These two are the best writing partners you could have. Funny and applicable advice and experience.

I love this podcast! Many writing podcasts are aimed to discuss querying or agents but I love that this one focuses on the thing in our control, becoming a better writer.

Anna and Lyssa make such an excellent writing podcast. Listening is like sitting down for tea and craft chat with friends. I am always excited for work on Wednesdays because I know a new Turning to Story will be waiting to brighten and inform my day! (Also, Anna sounds a bit like Alie Ward from Ologies, just so friendly and soothing!)
