Furthermore, they have helped foster and create a fun, thoughtful, and inclusive community in their Patreon Discord that gives people a place to engage easily with the rest of the WoSo stat nerd community as well as Eric and Evan themselves. Evan and Eric are my go-to podcast on women’s soccer. They are informed and interested in the data side of the game, but careful to contextualize and explain the stats. And the way their friendship comes through is delightful.

Highly enjoyable and perhaps the most consistently substantive content of the woso podcasts I frequent. Imagine how enthusiastic I would be if I actually liked data!

Hands down my favorite American soccer podcast. Smart analysis, makes a case for data to take on a more prominent role in women’s soccer discourse. It also features a sports unicorn: two white men willing to admit when they’re wrong about something.

As a man whose favorite sport is women’s football (thanks to my college-playing daughter), it’s awesome to find a podcast with two men focused on the NWSL and USWNT. They tackle the sport with data, cogent analysis, and clear passion, and I learn something from every episode. …but also this is the pod that tries to out a bunch of 20 somethings sexualities so they can report on the national team demographics in spread sheet form regardless of players on the team acknowledging there are players who are not ready to be publicly out. which is childish, selfish

I generally really enjoy this show and their analysis, but I can’t help but feel it’s weird that it’s always only men discussing women’s soccer. I love the growing media landscape around women’s soccer and think that having women’s voices in the space would add a lot of value and perspective to the show. Highly encourage yall to invite more women and/or consider adding an additional woman host.

Yes, I know it’s just opinions, but still love it that you go into not so obvious not afraid to give constructive criticism.

If you’re a women’s soccer fan like me, you might be slightly skeptical of listening to two men talk about it. Not against it, just a little skeptical. I was, and this podcast is SO GOOD. I learn so much, it’s clear they admire and respect these athletes as the complete ballers they deserve, and it’s fun to listen to! Keep up the good work, and keep helping people like me understand the sport (formations, styles, etc) better!

Great podcast! Eric & Evan’s rapport makes this a super fun listen that includes the tactical analysis I wish we got a bit more of in woso coverage across the board. I also love the challenge of listening for own goals (who doesn’t love a good game of gotcha?). Thanks fellas!
