Single best episode of a reading podcast EVER
Just listened to season 1 episode 8 w dr Carolyn Strom. I’m a trained Dyslexia Interventionist and have taught kids to read for over 30 years. She answered questions I’ve had for years and presented the clearest explanation I’ve heard about how the brain learns to read. If you need a way to explain this to parents - give this a listen!

I so appreciated this podcast. It has made the why to some questions answered. For example, the sound wall with the mouth was explained well. I have my undergraduate degree in speech and language. In my practice it is just automatic for me to teach placement of mouth structures. So glad to hear the explanation of this tool and it’s importance. There is much more I could comment on, however, I will keep my comment short. I recommend this podcast to everyone teaching foundational reading.
