Listening Girls on Film Podcast I was introduced to this interesting podcast. Good interviews with women involved in film. Really good interview with producer Rebecca O’ Brien

    Great listen!
It’s so interesting to hear intersectional feminist analysis when discussing media. As a social worker and woman of color, I’m passionate about intersectional analysis and the mainstream feminist movement often fails to take account for intersectional identities. I appreciate that the hosts of this podcast bring up these topics in a fun way.

    F-Rated is a Hidden Gem!
What a brilliant podcast! I’m learning so much about how systemically women have been excluded from making films, this is eye opening: thank you!

Learn something new about the world of film
Love the deep dive into the gender dynamics of the labor that puts together the TV shows and films we love. I had no idea the F-rating existed - I knew about the Bechdel Test which rates the speaking time given to female characters in movies - but the F rating is a holistic look at how the film was made. Looking forward to hearing the stories of women behind the camera. If you are a film student, a film critic or lover of film, this podcast will shed new light on an overlooked topic. Plus Anu and Holly are fun to listen to. Happy listening!
