vincevlnstAmazing learning resource from a great Bible teacherDr. Halsted is an amazing Bible teacher, and it is a joy and a privilege to listen and learn from him. Those in this generation seeking to grow in knowledge of Scripture are truly blessed to have access to his work, alongside that of Craig Keener, Tim Mackie, and N.T. Wright. Highly recommended!!

jaime on the hillExcited to learnI came across Dr. Matt Halsted’s teaching on the Naked Bible Podcast as he will completing the study of II Samuel. I loved his teaching style and the narrator mentioned that Dr. Halsted had his own podcast! I so glad he does. He gives plenty of other scholarly references which I appreciate as a layman. I highly recommend his podcasts and look forward to many more episodes.

TruthSeeker5374#89That short episode was truthful and impactful. Thank you so much for not being afraid or intimidated to speak the truth!

adampharrwtwOverall Good StuffNice guy and very insightful, however uses uh and um as fillers so much that once I heard it I can’t unhear it. If Matt would cut down on this and speak a bit more deliberately it would add polish to a good podcast.

Change is ComingThe best interviewer of theologians I’ve heard (and a fine one himself!!)Matt is the best interviewer of theologians, authors, Bible college presidents and professors I’ve ever heard, and a fantastic theologian himself - which he always modestly downplays. I first heard of him via the Naked Bible Podcast and now have all his books, and am a Patreon member, and have bought many of the books of his guests (I have a pile I’m trying to read). Well worth a few binge sessions to get caught up on!!!

TheResidentAlienGreat ShowMatt's interviews are my favorite episodes. He gets interesting people who talk about interesting subjects. Not everyone is a big name, but they are experts in their field. The guests always seem comfortable and at ease. The interviews are very conversational -- like they are sitting in your living room.

Doyle32Roman’s studyI just finished listening to the final installment for the Roman’s study. I thought it was as a great study and covered a very difficult book in a fair and very complete way. I look forward to the next study that Dr. Halsted puts out. This podcast is a weekly must for me.

RyanLeo91Routine Listener & SupporterDr. Matthew Halsted is a gracious and and thoughtfully informed communicator. He focuses on the teaching the text with a historical context versus modern idiosyncratic interpretations…he aims to help his listeners understand like the original audiences would have. Halsted excels in dialogue with scholars of same and differing confessions or faiths. It is one of my favorite aspects of the podcast. It is a pleasure to listen to scholars politely discuss (and even disagree) about aspects of the Bible! Through his interviews and teachings in the podcast, Dr. Halsted will connect you with other academic resources for your review. Don’t forget to check out Halsted’s Patreon and his blog/website! God bless.

CeeL0$A shoutout to Former Dr Michael S. Heiser! The Scholar who introduced Dr. Matthew L. Halsted to Naked Bible Podcasters! Thanks to Dr. Matt for continuing the Divine Council Worldview reference here on your podcast The Bible Unmuted—5 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟rating! Great episodes especially todays and previous episodes on Artemis and Darwin both are fantastic insights! I strongly believe your podcast would have great support from Mike the Scholar and Trey Stricklin—the Layman, who were so engrossed in DCW that got me hooked as well, 🙏🏻!!! Thank you, Thank you!!!

JBLNOKCThe PodcastI’ve listened to so many podcast throughout the years and hands down this has been my favorite. It’s not only the content but the person Matthew Halsted comes with a great welcoming voice and he has some great transitions with the bass guitar. It’s The Podcast I recommend to any young believer or mature believer in the faith.

TclhckttElevates my understanding of ancient contextI became aware of The Bible (Unmuted) recently when Matt hosted a Naked Bible podcast episode. It’s been one thing to say I want to understand Scripture in light of its ancient context, but quite another to seek it out. This podcast has been very helpful in that regard, sharing information and other authors and books. I’ve listened to the first 10 episodes in just one week—there’s no higher praise than that! Thank you, Matt.

dfwajTwo thumbs up, if I had more they’d all be upDr. Halsted does an incredible job translating the text and spirit of the word to ordinary folks like me. His love of the New Testament and honoring of the Old Testament comes through loud and clear. I would recommend this podcast to anyone wanting to dive a little deeper and really study the words of God.

ChristineV28Great!This has been such a great podcast to listen to if you are looking to know more about the Word! In my humblest opinion, this should be every person who has decided to follow Jesus :) I have especially loved the Romans series so far.

LINDAOFFICE-PCDefinitely, yes!First heard Dr Halsted on the Naked Bible Podcast doing a 12 part series on Paul’s use of the OT. So good! Go listen, if you haven’t already. Loving this podcast just as much. Dr. Halsted has a way of speaking that is calm, clear and conversational. Plus, he’s super knowledgeable about the Bible- big plus! I highly recommend this podcast.

Cece71203Love his discussionsI have heard him as a guest speaker on a few different podcasts and I love how he is articulate, reasonable, engaging and critical when discussing Biblical studies. He leads the audience through his thought and refrains from comments that imply he has the final word. I appreciate scholars who take time to discuss, listen, and learn. He does this. Very fair and reasonable. Plus he is engaging, speaks well and is easy to follow for anyone with familiarity with biblical studies. I love it because he is gifted with the patience and ability to go down these rabbit holes of academic research and really bring together the meaning in ways that I just don’t have the patience for. God bless our hard core theologians, they make life easy for those of us who want to engage in the thought but don’t have a lifetime to study.
