stop using “RIGHT”too many “rights” and “sort ofs”i love this podcast BUT they say “right” at end of every sentence as well as use “sort of” all the time in the sentence. i think they do this to make their lesson more casual and relatable, but it grates on the listener over the course of the episode. thanks so much for reading my review. i do enjoy this podcast otherwise. case in point, during the 3/19/25 Grandiosity episode i stopped counting the “RIGHTS” once i reached 50! please please listen to Vinh Giang (communication coach) on DOAC 3/10 episode particularly the 52:59 mark where he outlines the 3 step process: record and review. all you need to do is print out your show transcripts and highlight all the filler words - “right” and “sort of” are most frequently used. in a 39 minute episode the “rights” are more than 2/minute which is distracting & reduces the clarity of your message.

JLLJBJust RightLove this podcast! Their advice is thorough and solid - it educates, brings awareness and they give actionable steps in doable pieces… all in about 30 minutes. It’s just the right amount of everything so I feel like I’ve learned something and have some small but impactful thing I can do to improve myself and my marriage.

3 buoysOutstanding resourceWow!! I feel like I should be paying a consult fee to listen, your content is so top notch and helpful. I’ve been in this line of work for more than 2 decades yet find something new and expansive for myself each episode. I’m so grateful that you two take the time to put this show together. As a podcaster myself, I know it’s not a simple task. Thank you, thank you! Your teachings help me weekly (if not daily), 🩵 Susie Pettit

Partager La LumièreBuilding TogethernessIn a world where so many voices shout “do what feels good”, “you do you” and “If you don’t like it, leave” this podcast is a refreshing change! Taking the tack that you can improve brokenness, you can have a beautiful relationship with your spouse (and it will help family relationships for generations) while you grow in emotional intelligence at the same time is a shot of hope. I have suggested this podcast to numerous people, especially newlyweds. As a marriage veteran of almost 34 years, it’s helped me to see where I have broken, outdated or self-destructive belief systems about how I communicate and relate to not only my spouse but others as well. When you see it, you can change it. AND, they give concrete ways to engage with positive actions from podcast #1. Their goal- to help people who want to fix their relationships stay married and be happy in the process; to fix what’s not working and not throw out the proverbial baby with the bath water.
