Thank you for this very important content, for doing the essential work that you do, and for having legal and constitutional geniuses like Congressman Jamie Raskin on to respond to the unconstitutional damage being done by this rogue administration, and for giving citizens actionable things that we can do to resist the destruction of our democracy.

Great show. I listen to all episodes. Latest with Senator Sheldon Whitehouse may have been the best ever. BUT I cannot everything when I am outside anywhere near traffic even with max volume. I do not have this problem with any of my other podcasts. It used to be the volume balance between Marc and the guests was bad. One I could just hear at max, for the other I had to turn down the volume. Hence I deducted one star.

This week Marc hosted Sec. Clinton, reminding naysayers once again that Hillary was right about everything - going back decades when she first warned the world of a “vast right wing conspiracy.” Too bad Hillary-hate stopped people from listening and learning. That hate - exploited by US media - led the USA to our current state of affairs with democracy hanging in the balance. Thank you, Marc. I always look forward to listening and learning via your weekly podcast.

Unfortunately, since Civics isn’t taught you can be successful in your chosen profession or business, and have no clue how state and local laws impact your life until you have to show up in court. Democracy Docket with Marc Elias does a PHENOMENAL job daily of educating the public about what’s happening in the courts and state legislatures nationwide. He’s a master at Edutainment. I literally lean in and take notes listening to his conversations with the public servants across the country who are doing their jobs to help their constituents in the face of rogue actors looking to harm their neighbors and the country. Democracy Docket is valuable because it shines a light on the characters who are making decisions that impact our lives and spend our tax dollars. It helps connect the dots on what’s happening in the news and you are guaranteed lightbulb moments in every episode! Share with your neighbors to help them better understand where we live, how our tax dollars are being spent and who makes the decisions.

Thank you for your vital work on behalf of voters. You are exposing the seedy side of our democracy - voter suppression to benefit Republican elections. It makes me feel better to know there are champions out there fighting for voting rights and making Republicans really work to try to defend their crazy laws (and cost them money in the process). That so many suits are funded by the RNC is so telling. Thank you for informing us. As you said, it’s a shame the media doesn’t talk of this more.

Mark Elias is the epitome of an unsung hero. I am so grateful for his work to preserve our voting rights. The right to vote is the fundamental basis for our democracy and its integrity should be a universal goal. Unfortunately, Republicans do all they can to suppress voters and now even to suppress vote counting. Thank you for keeping us informed on these essential issues that are not covered anywhere else.

I REALLY am super grateful and enjoyed immensely the episode on 9/22 w/ Greta from WI. I am in WI, and am heavily involved w/ and follow closely the politics here….and have been volunteering w/ Wis Dems and the latest Ben Wikler website DefendJustice.com. There people can get involved, even if you are in a different state but care about what is happened in WI. How to get involved?? Join a phone or text bank, ESPECIALLY, CALL YOUR STATE SENATOR OR ASSEMBLY member rep., as what Greta was referring to in “the voters of WI are rising up and voicing opposition”! So yes…I personally think that stressing how important contacting our State representatives, perhaps more than once but at that website (or others, like “Mobilize”) we are organizing ways to directly call, write, etc) and express ourselves! But, for the first time in 15 years, WI has an opportunity to regain our democracy ( I would argue that WI has NOT had a real democracy for at least 12-15 yrs) because of gerrymandering and thus- people here are waking up to that fact. Btw, this “woke” term for the GOP is actually their dog whistle (which is now siren level loud) that they don’t want folks to be too aware of, smart and alert to their myriad ways of weaponizing our democratic system…..heaven forbid we call them out on it! But….so far, I believe the campaign of voicing opposition is taking the GOP here perhaps by surprise….but still- we cannot let up! Thank you Marc, for ALL your efforts and shining a light on WI. I so appreciate it.

The information available from The Docket is outstanding, well organized and depressing. The facts coming from this site are very depressing. The Republican Party has turned into a voter suppression cabal. I hope this information helps us keep our democracy.

Fantastic regular reporting about things threatening democracy. At worst, we risk one-party rule in the next election cycle. Gerrymanders, Independent State Legislature theories, an ethically compromised Supreme Court, persistent election denialism and so much more. Thanks to Marc and his team for keeping us informed. Urging us to act. Resisting authoritarian urges throughout the country. We cannot afford to look away. Bravo.

So thrilled a modern day hero of democracy is getting out the word in this format!!!! Hearing the latest episode about how we can make the biggest impact on fair courts and elections by phone banking for WI voters who don’t know they can vote for fairness for voters this April convinced me this podcast is supremely important !!

I live in a state that encourages voting & usually has the highest turnout on Election Day. I guess that made me blind to the fact that all over this country, voting rights are actively being attacked, particularly for people of color. Defending Democracy keeps me informed and aware.

Marc Elias is a true American hero, and this podcast (as well as everything Marc distributes) is essential to an understanding of the peril we currently face. Thank you, Marc, for all you do!

This is a podcast for anyone who is concerned about justice, fairness, transparency. The latest show, featuring Sen Whitehouse was very informative, offering good explanations of how big money bought our current extremist SC majority & other changes brought about by the Cit United ruling. The conversation moves as an appropriate pace without any cutesy attempts at humor or cleverness found in some others. I’ve been telling friend about, hoping more people wii get & stay informed on the most consequential issues affecting our democracy. Thanks to all of those behind this valuable work.

I think it’s an essential podcast for anyone who is concerned about the health of our democracy. Listening always alerts me to current threats to our democracy, but it helps me keep up with democracy advocacy too, which gives me hope.

If you care about citizens having their votes counted and their will respected, then this podcast and its goals are the same as yours. A must listen for all concerned voters, citizens, and those who care about democracy in these fraught times.

Marc Elias is fighting the good fight, and his podcast is concise and informative. My only criticism is that his voice frequently drops to an almost inaudible volume, and sometimes he seems to move away from the microphone. I know this podcast is just getting started, and I hope this gets ironed out. Listeners need him to keep his sound consistent so we’re not consistently fiddling with the volume control. Otherwise, this podcast is excellent.

Content is great! Sound was a bit up and down (louder, then quieter). I know it’s new, so hopefully will improve.
