    Easily my favorite podcast
This is such a good mix of life lessons and comedy. I appreciate the diverse mix of guests. I was riveted during the Kathy Griffin one. Please get Colin Quinn! And Sandra Bernhardt!

    Great Podcast
There is so much to love here, so much healing and growth potential from listening. Absolutely five stars for the show overall! Neal does have a few duds as guests though: People who don’t understand, or reject, the assignment, or who aren’t able to be really vulnerable which defeats the purpose of the show, as well as some truly awful people as guests, like Ari Shaffir, Chris Jerico and a few others. Just avoid those. Overall a phenomenal podcast and so thankful that he does it.

    Woof
What on earth happened in his Matteo Lane interview? I usually love this podcast and Neal’s thoughtful approach to complex topics and issues. But the full 20 minutes where he insisted on asking Matteo “who is the man and who is the woman” in gay relationships was truly painful. He would NOT let it go, despite Matteo’s incredibly tactful and gentle redirects suggesting this isn’t a relevant or modern way of thinking about it. At the beginning of this episode Neal talks about ignorant people seeking a blunt force, simplest-is-best solution to wildly complex problems, and then doubled down over and over again trying to get Matteo to answer an impossible question about gay relationships through a heteronormative framework. Just…yikes. Kudos to Matteo for how he handled this interview.

Love the pod but this episode
William H Macy talking about his wife being a mom and how she was angry she wasn’t getting more help “societally” and how there needs to be more government help and “department of babysitters.” Yes that’s all true. And you know who else can be helpful to moms? THE DAD

Very Funny, Poignant, and a Comedy Junkie’s Paradise
I am a life-long comedy fan and this is such an eye opening look into the lives of truly great comics. All of their respective genius is a reflection of their real lives, and Neal dives right in to what makes them tick. Free therapy and a goldmine for anyone who loves comedy.

    I like this podcast
Neal Brennan is brilliant and funny. I just wish he knew more women? Maybe he could ask for some intros.
  • Camille519
    No women?
I just want to point out that you have to go back 6 months and counting to find a woman guest. Reminder, we’re 50% of the population.

Love the show and a suggestion
Love the premise of the show and enjoy the content. But please don’t forget the first time you talk about someone with the guest to use that person’s full name. Thanks for a great pod. Keep it up.

Neal straddles the line with comedic questions and direct questions which hits home for anyone who is a looking for a truly genuine podcast. One of my favorite podcasts to date.

    Marlon Wayans is a jerk?!
Man I used to love him but his relationship nonsense was the most toxic egotistical bullsh$& I've ever heard. Good job poking him slightly about it. 🤢

    Finally! Electric Guest
Not even the Reddit geeks could find the Electric Guest song. The musicians could tell that this song would rawk. I was telling you, producers, we would all pay EG for the song. This tidbit haunted me like Pumped Up Kicks did so long ago. It will blow up. Thank you to NB, Will, & especially EG!

Love the content but the random sound effects are horrendous
Why are there random beeps and sounds on the pod eps? I thought my phone was dying. The content is good but for the love of god get out the random beeps.

    Really appreciate this show
You’ve helped me understand how to be a more compassionate person especially toward my man. Thanks for offering all of this to the world.

It’s like You Made It Weird if the host didn’t need more attention than the guests and didn’t push snake oil

    Great theme
The show has so many fantastic insights into different people’s mental health and wellness and it’s funny. I think at times it is over edited and noticed terrible unnecessary reverb that’s almost made me turn it off. You don’t need to alter voices to emphasize points.

    Great show
This podcast is great and I recommend it to anyone looking to understand that they aren’t alone in their faults/issues/problems. It’s an entertaining way to find ways to improve yourself.

Sorry. All the sound effects and audio cut-ins make this unlistenable for me. But Neal is great and I wish him the best.

    My favorite podcast! Thanks Neal!

Good Interviews - Poor Tech Support
Paul is a great interviewer, and really enjoy his talks with his comedian friends. The only thing I dislike are the annoying Apple notification tones every few minutes when he receives an email! Suggest someone with a modicum of computer skills show you how to turn off the notification tone. (Sorry to be trivial, but while listening I found myself waiting for the next tone!)

    Wonderful Show
Neal is funny and insightful, but his real gift is meeting his guests where they are. If they want to riff, then riffing it is; if they want to talk seriously, they will do that. Great flow. Also: best closing music of any podcast.

    Well Done
I get a kot of therapeutic advice from the show. I am also very interested in the life of a comic. Great show, high quality. Perfect editing.

Marc Rebillet Episode cuts off before it’s done
Just that, the episode ends while mid conversation, surprised I’m the first one to comment this. Dope podcast I enjoy mucho!

    Surprisingly insightful
I just heard the episode with George Wallace, a comedian I knew only from Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, and I was stunned! This man is not only hilarious but such a grounded and genuinely loving human being. It was really great hearing about his come up and his diverse intellectual interests. What a role model for ppl of his generation. I wish my parents were this open fr. Fantastic episode!
  • Sir Michael Hawk
    Love it!
Any questioning of Neal’s comedic ability away from Dave was idiotic to begin with. This podcast is another example of how brilliant he is. Neal is America’s Rose and comedy royalty!
  • grewupinthe80s
I love these interviews so much
These are hands-down the best interviews of comedians I’ve ever heard. My only gripe is with the loud tones that mark each Block as they come up in conversation. I don’t think we need them. Or maybe cut the volume of them by 50%? Otherwise an incredibly insightful podcast.

I really like the podcast but I can’t listen to it at home because the bell ringing makes my dog go nuts.

    Wonderful and intelligent
Enjoyable. The worst episodes are very good. The best are exceptional. Now please do Bamford. And thanks for this entertainment.

    Annoying ding!
I would have given 5 stars except for the fact that there is an annoying ding every so often. Now I can’t listen!
  • Del412Al
    Fantastic podcast
If you don’t already know that comedians are the most insightful and intelligent people out there, Neil Brennan’s Blocks will leave no doubt.
  • Caroline1221
Guy brings up his psychedelic experience in every conversation
Host has a hard time not turning to conversation back to himself and his own strong views instead of listening and inquiring. Ex, Seth green had tons of wisdom and the conversation felt like a therapy session for the host. Joe Rogan type of poor listening, over estimated self awareness, and projections.

    The funniest not-trying-to-be-funny podcast
The episode with Tig had me dying! Their humors has such an amazing combination, I want more of it!!!

    Five stars!
Great episode with Jerry Seinfeld. As someone who didn’t have cable when “Chappelle’s Show” was airing, the first time I saw or heard heard of Neal Brennan, was on “Comedians in Cars.” Which led me to Neal & Dave’s unbelievable stand-up specials — and to subscribing to “How Neal Feel” & “Blocks” on YouTube. And now I’m probably gonna buy a Manscaped razor & some of those stretchy jeans Neal talked about, during the Seinfeld episode. It’s funny how “one thing leads to another” sometimes. What I find odd, is that Neal seems to be one of the few comedians who knows “Comedians in Cars” well enough to quote from it. I guess maybe the other comics feel like, “I see that every night at the comedy clubs.” (And I suppose I might not watch a documentary-like show, about people doing what I do at work, either.) Another great episode, guys; thanks & keep up the good work.

    So So Good
Such a great show & topic. We can’t get enough of real human discussions on being human. Thanks all !!

    Haha, Wow!
After reading some of these reviews, I sure hope no one is taking them very seriously. Follow your heart and the people will follow. Not ALL the people, just the ones that are meant to. But to craft a thing with real weight and beauty, only a fool would take notes from any random fool with a keyboard. Including mine. Keep up the great work, Neal! :)
