Genshin lore is huge and confusing. Its great to have this podcast. The hosts are fun and friendly. 4 out of 5. The only notable issue is words/names are very frequently mispronounced, from every nation. Theyre also said differently between different hosts. This can be confusing for people, especially if they want to look this stuff up or hear about it from other sources for more info.

I started genshin maybe a year ago and just saw all the details in the weapon descriptions! I wanted to know more and found this podcast and am already cought up! It's so fun listening to everyone chat about theories too! tales of teyvat made me more comfortable to talk with others in the genshin community and now I've got co-op friends!

The depth of the lore in Genshin can be a struggle for the 80 of my HDs and this podcasts does an amazing job of breaking it all down like a fraction for me to understand. It’s just icing on the cake that the four hosts are also hilarious and quick witted. There are other Genshin podcasts but this one is simply the best in my opinion if you’re looking to understand the lore of the vast world of Teyvat.

This was a great find! As a casual Genshin player, I find this podcast to be the perfect way to dive into the lore. Each host has a distinct personality which makes listening super fun and engaging. They are very knowledgeable and obviously put a lot of work into research. Whether you’re someone who is up to date on every event and character story, or someone who is looking to find the pieces between log ins, this podcast is for you!

I’ve been listening to this podcast since it’s first season. Before I discovered Tales of Teyvat I was the kind of Genshin player that mashed through the dialogue just trying to get things off my quest list and of course primos. I loosely knew what was happening but ultimatlt didn’t care. After a few listens from this amazing cast, I became fully invested in the game lore, I no longer skip! This podcast is so well thought out. The hosts are super funny and knowledgeable while also tossing out a healthy amount of wacky theories to get our brain juices flowing. I love how they devote time into little detailed things like weapon and artifact lore, or the books we pick up along our travels. I love the backstory for every character episode, especially since I haven’t read the manga and i love the recaps on past events lore, that i missed either from mashing through or from just not having played in the early days. Thank you Tales of Teyvat for always making my week and for making me love Genshin even more <3

This podcast provides accurate and thought-provoking lore without taking itself too seriously. The hosts actually have fun and everyone is invited to the party! If you're an uptight fuddyduddy, it may not be your thing, but if you like to laugh while exploring deepcut lore and theories, check it out!

If you’re looking for a comprehensive, confident, or concise approach to Genshin lore, this won’t be it. I’ve listened to one of their first episodes and one of their later episodes (42) to see if there is an improvement, but found that the speakers consistently don’t speak confidently about what they bring up (“I think,” “I don’t remember,” “Wasn’t..?”) which gives the impression they did not research or take notes on what they’re speaking about that episode and are regularly immature/inappropriate/cringe by talking about having literal dreams that Kaeya was their boyfriend, starting episodes calling characters mommy, sexualizing characters’ models, and sexual innuendos between characters. It’s very likely this is just not the quality level/casual content that I wanted out of a Genshin lore podcast - my preference would be a structured, thorough lore review & referencing the quest, book, artifacts description, etc. origins so that it is straightforward in writing. Think quality of a true crime podcast, but about Genshin lore - this is not it. But if you want to listen to a roundtable of buddies just chatting for an hour about a Genshin topic and being cringe, this is not far off. However I do like and respect they link hard copies of references they mention so you can see it yourself.

Im new to the Genahin lore world, but I caught on to a few interested lore tidbits early on and knew I needed to dig deeper. The hosts of the pod are super informative but always make me laugh too. I guess I have to continue playing the game now!

Being a fan of not only playing but the story as well, this podcast is great to dive into all the tie-ins from the manga and where we’re at in the game story. Looking forward to learning more and hearing others’ theories on the story. UPDATE: the short episodes crack me up! Great deviation from time to time

Honestly a chaotic entertaining bunch. They are fun, weird, and borderline “girl what did u just say?” I feel like I get a mix of lore, comedic banter, and good vibes. Can’t wait for new seasons :). Also I feel the same about wet socks Ayaka, forget her.
