Cut Traded Fired Retired

The Colorado Broadcaster Association's Best Radio Podcast in 2024!

We follow them on social media. We pay money to watch them play or coach. We check headlines for breaking news and rumors about them.

Professional athletes and coaches are the best at what they do. They are also people. People with emotions, self-doubt, insecurities, family obligations and setbacks. They have to deal with tough times and dark moments just like we do.

Hosted by Susie Wargin, a 30+ year Radio & TV broadcaster and Emmy Award winning sportscaster, who sits down with some of the biggest names in Denver sports. Hall of Famers, Ring of Famers, Super Bowl winners (and losers) and many who have reinvented themselves in retirement. The conversations feature insightul upbringings, emotional and impactful stories as well as words of wisom on how to keep moving forward.

    Susie Scores
I love this podcast. I doscivered it after hearing host Susie Wargin talk about it when she guest-co-hosted an episdoe of THE DAVE LOGAN PODCAST. Now, I live in Colorado, and I am a "homer," cheering for the Nuggets, Rockies, and Broncos. Ms Wargin has been around all those teams for decades, and she clearly made a lasting impression on players and coaching staffs. She has established relationships with most of the people she interviews. They quickly relax and lower their shields. She lets her subjects talk, tell their stories. She empathizes and encourages honesty. The result is sometimes raucous, sometimes heartfelt. Susie may be the best sports interviewer I ever heard. She picks guests who are great storytellers, and they have tales to relate. Every episode touches on the endings of things: movement from team A to team B, being cut or fired. She asks every guest how they overcome adversity. This is a spendid sports interview show, made so by its dazzling host, Susie Wargin!
