As a native mandarin speaker that has not actively practiced speaking in 40 years, it’s great to finally have content that lets me catch up with idioms and usage patterns that you can’t get from typical academic course material. The content is simple. Easy to listen to. And covers just enough of a topic that you don’t feel overwhelmed when working on refreshing your language and cultural skills.

This podcast is great for the upper intermediate to advanced Taiwanese Chinese learner, who is still struggling with podcasts targeted at native speakers. 莛莛 and 芳芳 speak at a normal speed, and they provide a well written summary transcript, rather than a word-for-word transcript, which forces a person to focus on the content of their podcast, rather than simply following along. In addition, the topics in the podcast are varied enough, that I am constantly learning new vocabulary and expressions.
