I’m your host Michelle Grosser, a certified Trauma-Informed Master Life Coach, attorney, professor, wife, and mom. I’ve been there - right where you are. I was an attorney running a busy law firm by day, law school professor by night, all while trying to parent my kids, pour into my marriage, and keep up my home - and what I found was that I was on the fast track to burnout.

    Disappointed Right from the Start
    First-time listener: After a challenging parenting day, I found an episode with a title that sounded like it may be helpful. Instead, I immediately heard an ad about the podcaster’s upcoming free seminar and was asked to leave a review for the podcast. After a disappointing start, I received some basic and lackluster advice. This podcast did not help me feel more empowered as a parent, educated, or calmer. I would advise saving your request for reviews for the end of an episode because I wouldn't have heard it or bothered.

I LOVE the science behind everything that Michelle shares. Explaining the science behind the behaviors, etc makes it make sense. Great podcast and Michelle is so easy to listen to.

    So I discovered The Calm Mom podcast one day when I was doing research on starting my own podcast. If you want to start doing your own podcast you better listen to enough podcast yourself. Then I realized I really didn’t listen to podcast anymore. I Google searched podcasts for moms and mental health and Michelle was the first one to pop up. Thank God! I started listening right away and the first episode I choose was 244. I was blown away and felt like I finally found my people (women/ moms alike) who where finally speaking my language. This episode was about being “busy” and what it really is and advice on how to free up your time a little. Definitely needed to hear that. I was sold and listened to about 10 or more episodes, some I’ve listened to more than once just to let it all soak in. I’m just soaking in all this great information and slowly making these small changes in my life and it’s really helpful because I think about it all the time. I thank you Michelle so so so much for this powerful momma movement! This is what we really need. You show us how to dig deep within ourselves without judgement. Guiding us to find the root causes for our common struggles. Letting us know we are not alone, sharing so many great tips for small steps to prepare ourselves for the change we wish to see and I couldn’t be more grateful thank you truly. Now more than ever I really needed a little something extra in my life to guide me through my journey and big picture I’m trying to create for myself. My big take away is that I realize now that I can rewire the patterns I’ve become so accustomed to and didn’t even realize were possible to change. Awareness of it is key. Wish I could afford your coaching but I’m a school teacher. Wow what a difference it would make in my life. Keep it coming Miss Grosser! You deserve 5 stars! Can you make an episode about sound healing or vocal toning!? I’ve heard this is helpful to help break out certain patterns. When you quoted Brene Brown, “Clear is kind,” it rang in my ears. I consider myself a kind person but for years I ended up ghosting people or stringing along my answers because I wanted to people please. Saying no is Hard! Needless to say, I have the Leaving Pattern. Peace and Love!

    Hi! I am in no way trying to be hurtful or negative but you mentioned to leave a review with thoughts. I just listened to your show and found myself more saddened than empowered. I 100% understand that you have to make a living too but for someone who was searching through podcast and stopped to listen…I would have appreciated at least one piece of advice in regards to how to help that didn’t require me to buy anything. Even just a tidbit of “put this into practice”… It would encourage me to 1.) listen to an additional episode and 2.) consider signing up for a service… but instead I just pass and look for someone else who I can maybe gleam some meaningful info from while my 3&4 year old is sleeping. I will say your presentation and voice are a 10/10 and I’d listen again if I thought I’d get any advice that could help me in my day to day life.

    This show has been really helpful to listen to! I’m in my 40’s and a full time working single mom. I was hesitant, because most of the time I find people your age with a self help podcast kind of annoying (they don’t have much of a story or hard life experience), but you really have wise words and a motivating presence.
