NPE and me….

I fell upon the Family Twist podcast the day after the 2024 election. I was so traumatised by the result I vowed to stop watching the news 24 hours a day and needed something new to envelop myself in. I am not an adoptee, sperm donor baby or an NPE baby but I am fascinated by human stories and they don’t get more human than our DNA. I don’t think Ancestry or 23&me had any idea of the explosion they set off. I think we are just at the beginning of this NPE revolution and Family Twists is a great place to start your journey. Kendall and Corey take us on a wild ride and are charming, funny and kind. Keep up the good work guys. And thank you.

I’ve listened to many DNA/Birth lies, but first for you. Someone who has never been adopted, lies on birth certificates, cannot tell us how to feel. Yes, how do you respond is our choice, but I prefer to advocate for not changing birth certificates, charges for putting false information on bc. My mom took her lies to her grave, as did the man who put his name on my bc. My REAL dad lived a short distance away in the same town. I had run into him once. I graduated with his niece. He knew family friends. I knew my real dad for 278 days, before he died. Knew him means I sat by him, but so little memory. I never had a Father's Day with him. I focus on the harm of learning bing 64 years, not fitting into my “family” and being told I was wrong every time I ask why am I different? Who really is my dad?

The guest of this episode is OBnoxious. How did he ever find a wife. Honestly, he tells the world all his relative’s personal issues…. Which he has no right to do, how nasty. I have never met anyone that rants and raves about their own compliments like this guy. He sounds like a wimp. He thinks he is SO much better than his family and he is NOT. YUCK. His poor family he thinks he is fabulous… he is cringeworthy and quite embarrassing.
