Nuanced views I learned on the Pivot
I am definitely not your demographic for sure. 60 year old black woman who don't know anything about sports! Nothing . But I have three black sons who are my windows into sports. Two die 49ers and the other a pained Raider. We are Cali people. I discovered your podcast on FB and subscribed because I fell upon Ryan Clark talking about black women. It was tone - the respectful appreciative tone that made me stop. After that I looked him up and the other gentlemen and the Pivot. One day my sons are arguing with each other about the WNBA (which I never watched) until Angel Reese. It was the analysis on the Pivot that informed my understanding of the systemic racism and the WNBA and the whole Angel Reese/ Caitlin Clark. And I was able to give my sons another take - a more nuanced take away from the media noise. It was great. They were "impressed" LOL Thank you for all your discussions that opened my world to the intersections of sports and culture. It's been so interesting.

    The Trent Richardson Story
Great interview and perspectives. Glad this finally happened. I’ve always heard Football was a fraternity. Sports opinions AKA Sports Media from past players doesn’t always represent that. So I’m glad these Brotha’s have the opportunity to change the narrative. This is great conversation and growth.

Chan talking Bernie Mac - Sep. 27
“If people don’t like how you livin’, F ‘em! F ‘em! F ‘em up against the wall, with handcuffs and crazy glue on their lips! Just F ‘em!” I think that’s the PG version from House Party. I love that you brought that up! Everybody should live with a little bit of the Bernie Mac mindset in their mission statement. Love you guys! Love the show! - Mike B. (FL)

We have to do better. If you knew Diddy. You are also compliant in allowing the fall of Black Men. 45’s team will make sure more go down. Level up!! We have seen this type of attack on Black men…because we allow it.

    Powerful & necessary
This podcast is Emmy Award winning for a reason and I definitely see more awards in the future. The topics they approach cover a wide range of issues that are PIVOTAL in our current environment. I’ve recommended this content to family and friends because what they’re covering is germane to all of us. Keep giving us this incredible content Channing, Fred and Ryan. 🎙️

Showing genuine respect to Mina Kimes…
…tells me that these three gentlemen respect themselves, and are thoughtful & confident individuals. Whereas people who don’t know who they are — or don’t feel good about who they are — might feel threatened by a 100 lb. woman with a great big brain. And BTW don’t sell yourselves short on ‘wordplay’, fellas: Ryan’s opening line, about rain canceling Gators practice? That was Mina-esque. “Coach Spurrier couldn’t ’pivot’, but we will.” Credit where credit is due: I’d say Ryan has a good bit in him, of what Mina has in her. Add me to the Subscriber list.

You don’t have to follow sports to love this podcast.
I love these guys. Full of compassion, insight, experience, and humanity. And they’re funny. You don’t have to be a sports fan to enjoy their show. Each host brings a healthy perspective to each topic and each interview. A true joy being along for the ride as a listener/learner. Well done, gents! Keep up the great great (needed!!) work.

Don’t really like some of the people but great content
I don’t really like RC but they have put together a great show. Love some FT21. Glad they took high ground against Brandon Marshall. I would recommend no one listen to his podcast. This one has good talk good discussions and isn’t the same spoon fed junk on other sports talks.

Massage Watson ball washer and towel wiper
Ryan Clark is just Massage Watson ball washer. Who can’t get the real interview with massage Watson that he has to get his towel assistant to bash other people. Who actually stated facts that the Browns said he was cleared and it was Massage Watson choice to sit out and not play. Massage Watson got paid and now he’s a trust fund kid who doesn’t want to play. Maybe Massage Watson get a massage to help him play.

    10/27 episode
I’m a big fan of the show and how you guys discuss difficult and important topics week in and week out. I would just like to share some things as I found this week’s episode quite infuriating. I agree that Brady Quinn was unprofessional in making a massage joke regarding Deshaun Watson, however I could not disagree more about the statement that legal matters shouldn’t be brought up and analysts should move past the Deshaun charges. They should be mentioned every time he takes the field. It’s disrespectful and insensitive to act like it never happened. The independent investigation stated that the league provided the burden of proof necessary to prove that he was guilty. He deserves to live with the consequences which sadly means having his transgressions mentioned while he earns $45M a year to play a bottom 5 starting QB level. I will also just add in that the same applies to tyreek hill who is held up as a superhero despite threatening his girlfriend on a recorded phone call after being investigated for potentially breaking his 3 year old son’s arm and who also committed domestic violence in college. These are not matters of race. I am a black man. These are a matter of criminals, who happen to be black, getting a pass because they are (or used to be) good at football. The league should be embarrassed for allowing men like them to play in their league, but as long as they do, those men should be scrutinized for their actions.

    Thankful for the Show
Thanks for pulling together a show like this. I really enjoy the discussions and different perspectives that emerge, it’s well balanced and real. As a military vet, I also love the banter between you guys during light(er) moments - the chemistry and camaraderie are fantastic, reminiscent of moments I had with the fellas from time to time. Channing cracks me up! 🤘🏼

    Real Conversations with Real People
I started following the show as a fan of Freddy T wanting to follow his career after football. It started with the original project of IAmAthlete, but I couldn’t be happier for the pivot (pun intended) to this show. Each of the hosts—Fred, Channing, and Ryan—bring a different personality with different views, and the respect they show each other as well as their guests is incredible. I love following the journey of the hosts, the people they interview, and even my own as I draw inspiration from this show. This isn’t just a show for sports fans or athletes, but for those that want to see the real side of people. Keep up the amazing work!
