    Amazing stories
The perfect blend of history and human behavior. I enjoy every episode and series that is put out. With the lens of history it is so interesting to see how people are duped and fooled.

    Get to the point
It’s frustrating to listen because these men can’t get to the point. Too many added comments such as “I’m going to look at my producer because he’ll know is I’m saying the right word”. We don’t care that your looking at someone for affirmation. Stay on topic. I want to hear about the topic.

    Great story telling. Must listen
There are stories and then there is this story. Wow this is awesome. Update. Finished the 4th episode and really want more. Where do I send money for the next story. Update 2 Every season gets better and better. Thank you. If you have not listened you must. They are great story tellers and bring the story alive. Update 3. Season four is still outstanding and love the story telling of Brian and Justin. Thank you for continuing to provide us entertainment and history.

    WGC's best work!
I'm finally dropping a review after WGC's latest season release. Full disclosure, I'm a Patreon supporter of the show, and I got the full season release a little earlier. Brian's, Justin's, and the team at Dog & Pony's work keep getting better and better. Seasons 1 & 2 were excellent in their own right and are absolute must listens if you have yet to visit them. However, Season 3 and the telling of Project Alpha reach a new high. The presentation, navigation, production, and story narration all come together masterfully. Thank you, Dog & Pony Show Audio, for this labor of love; it was great. I look forward to the follow-up post-season episode!

    And my SAX!
Brought to you by Brian Brushwood, the scammer with the grand master plan. Trust me when I say that Brian’s charismatic and warm voice has made tons of content enjoyable and this podcast is no different. Give it a listen and I think you’ll be surprised.

The first two seasons were great, can’t wait to dig into season on Project Alpha.

If you like interesting stories told in interesting ways, this is for you

Exciting and relaxing all at the same time
I keep coming back to this show. I’m checking between seasons to see if I missed an announcement or some bonus came out. The soundscape they have built plays second fiddle to absolutely no one in recent memory. They also manage to make game show scams and and tricking hitler have both the appropriate weight but somehow also seem equally entertaining and significant.

One of the few podcasts I listen to on normal speed, this isn’t just about getting information, it’s pure joyous entertainment. Made a few hours of a long road trip just melt away.

    Could be better
I love the content but it’s been months since a new episode has come out and there’s been no explanation as to why

    Super fun and entertaining!
Brian Bushwood is very animated and engaging. This podcast is also very well-researched which is probably my favorite thing about it.

    Shwoody does it again!
This podcast is just great. I have absolutely no idea where it’s headed… in the best way. Well written and well spoken. I love these guys. And I’m really into this!

Well done my friend. Well done.
I was familiar with all of these stories before finding them on your podcast, but you really brought them to life. Thank you very much for your work.

    Worth the time
This show is an experience. If you want a brief, concise synopsis of events, go find another resource. But if you want to be brought along the journey, this is your ticket. Beyond simply presenting information, Brian brings stories to life in a way I haven’t heard in a long time. Almost feels like listening to a modern version of an old radio program, back in the days when they had real orchestras in the studio, and people at home knew how to use their imaginations. This is not a quick history podcast. This is a story podcast - and Brian is a darn good storyteller.

    Excellent
An excellent podcast, always very interesting.

    Great topics, strange host
I’m really into the overall theme of the show, but the host makes it way less enjoyable to listen to. He has this constant tendencies to try to assign motivations and feeling to the people in the stories, but he always portrays them as incredibly stupid, greedy, and just over the top cliched. My impression is that he thinks really highly of his own intelligence, and that everyone else is an idiot compared to him. Strange stuff.

    Good time no alcohol required.
Don’t know what to write. Fun show.

    Wow! Terrific story telling!!!!
I've listened to tens and tens of podcasts, maybe over a hundred. This one is my NUMBER ONE; for best narration, best story lay out, best use of integration of personal experience, best hook leading into episodes, best riveting episode cliffhangers, best in minimal ads PLUS the ads are interesting to listen to, best podcast for getting my house chores completed for something to do while I immerse into the story, and the absolute best in leaving me wanting more!!
  • Blondie5789
    Love It!!!
Great story telling, introspective, great connections. And PS, much of the advertising is to men - you have lots of female listeners too!! ;)

I don’t know about the whole deer tongue thing but you have a future career in storytelling. Great work!

    Engaging and entertaining
I was hooked as soon as I heard the trailer. I like that you share stories and insights from your own experience. Listened to all of the Hitler ones and two more just today! Keep it up!

    Best Storyteller EVER
Need I say more? I will, however, add that this podcast might help folks spot a con before they get sucked in! How great would that be?
  • littlepieceofsass
    YES YES YES!!!
This podcast is fascinating, thought-provoking, and delightfully entertaining. The content is gripping, and the presentation is flawless.
  • yooperchicks
    Great topics, annoying host
If I could stand listening to the overwrought and bombastic host I would like this show. His cadence is sing-songy and his tone is more like a California girl than a male host discussing a serious topic. Some of the topics are funny in their own right. But Brian tries to make them all funny, even when they’re not.
  • Jaybeeone2three
    Not recommend
His voice is like nails on a chalk board and long winded stories about himself. Great theme but horrible delivery Do not recommend.
  • Joshua A. Mangrum
    The perfect amount of “produced”
I first heard of/saw Brian on Film Riot then followed him when he did Scam School, I got to see one of his magic shows and it was great, I love the personality he brings to this podcast - ignore the haters it’s not “overproduced”.
  • Shrinkyydink
    Very Entertaining
An enjoyable listen especially season 2. I especially like the hosts voice and the way he over emphasizes the name of the show. It’s quite funny.
  • Elliott_k75
    Boo
It should be an example on how not to do a podcast. So self indulgent-The guy can’t get out of his own way and just tell the story. I’m not interested in the thoughts you think are brilliant-just tell me the story
  • NONEEE
    Overproduced
I loved the idea of this, but way overproduced. Simple stories take forever to get to the point. A frustrating listen

    Really good

    Pass
An overly excited author reading an over embellished script for a story that could have been told in 15 ish minutes.

Great podcast, super writing, nice presentation.
It’s hard to find a podcast that tells an engaging story well. This is one of great stories from WWII and the Dog
