Oh my GOD- is this the best podcast ever? It just might be! MIDNIGHT MASS has everything you could want in a podcast- hilarious hosts, classic cult films, and fabulous guest stars! Bianca Del Rio! Kelli Maroney! Charles Busch! Jeff Nelson (Jeffreymixed on instagram!) Jackie Beat! Luis Xtravaganza! Peaches Christ and Michael Varrati give us an incredibly entertaining and insightful look into the campy world of cult films through a queer lens, delving into such delicious cult classics such as CARRIE, SUNSET BOULEVARD, CRUISING, MADONNA: TRUTH OR DARE, FRIDAY THE 13TH, and so many more! Our host (and hostess!) not only entertain, but always make me want to immediately re-watch the film they discussed. And I always see it in a new angle. Peaches and Michael somehow make me love these cult films ever more than I did before. Their obvious passion for horror and cult films shines through and is incredibly inspiring and a joy to witness. You get EXCITED listening to them analyze our love for these wonderfully wacky films we all grew up on. And that TRUTH OR DARE episode should be required listening by every homosexual. I was in literal tears. BRAVO.

I honestly can’t get over how many different guests come on this show. Some people are involved with the creation, some have careers that are highly influenced by the movie, other people are just a huge fans that have interesting perspectives I may not have considered. This show is such an honest delight

Cult, niche, art house - however you define it, Peaches and Michael go deep into the subject at hand in any given episode and show you how and why it (the film, artist, Director, actor, or creator) works! We’ve all been there: we like a thing, but can’t quite put our fingers on exactly why we like it, or how it clicks for us. Like an Apple Jacks commercial from the way back when, we often resign ourselves to the idea that “we just do” enjoy whatever it is, because, well, we just do! But how profound it is to have the “why” illustrated so that we can remind ourselves of all the aspects that make it so, and more often than not have new factors brought into focus to show us even more. Michael and Peaches not only manage to do this consistently and with enthusiasm, but also with earnest and dedicated commitment to the art. This shines through from not only their knowledge, or transparency through sharing their own knowledge or things they might not know or have forgotten, but also and perhaps more importantly: the guests! They show great consideration in who they bring onto the Midnight Mass pod, as with the latest Idol Worship episode for Christopher Guest! Keep up the brilliant work, and thank you Peaches and Michael and everyone involved with Midnight Mass! You lot bring so much enjoyment and genuine appreciation for the things nerds like myself love.

Knowledgeable, informative, and entertaining. They hit on all the movies I love. Despite thinking that I know everything there is to know about these movies, they unearth more. So much more! So good!

I downloaded this podcast strictly by one name: Peaches Christ. I figured I had to at least give it a shot. I learned Peaches and Michael are a kindred spirit to me in terms of enjoying cult culture - the trashier the better. Even though I do enjoy a cult movie, I’m not an expert like the hosts. I’ve found new things to enjoy and learned a lot about these classic cult movies.

Honestly how I didn’t know about this podcast sooner is beyond me. Professional, knowledge able, drag, horror. Couldn’t ask for more. Found my new favorite.

Peaches and Michael do such a good job of bringing to light all the Cult Films we love, and helping us discover the hidden gems we have forgotten. They do such a good job interviewing their guests, they keep the show moving, and give great insights into each episode they do. If your favorite Podcasts consist of Movie History and Movie lovers, then this show is one you need to subscribe to right now!

I love every episode and make a point to watch every featured movie I haven’t seen, just so I can listen afterwards! The interviews are so thoughtful and interesting, not like the everyday, press junket interviews where filmmakers hit the same talking points with every outlet. Peaches and Michael are so charming and open with their guests, resulting in some very candid conversations. And since each episode focuses on one movie, the podcast never feels meandering or unfocused. I enjoyed the episode about Shortbus - a movie I haven’t seen yet (but plan to) - so much that I felt the need to let y’all know how much I appreciate your work!

I absolutely love this podcast. It’s so cool to finally hear different takes on movies I grew up loving, and what seemed to be loving alone. Peaches is iconic and her and Michael make a great team. Always having great guests with fantastic insight and commentary. This is a must subscribe for any cult movie lovers. We aren’t alone aha!

So satisfying to listen to some of the strange stories behind these oddball movies. I haven’t even seen the movies from the first two episodes, but I loved hearing about the filmmakers and obsessive fans. Great guests too.

This is pure joy, it’s so much fun hearing how you can make something incredible on a shoe-string budget. The dedication to making a film to get it to an audience who will appreciate it, is fun to hear.
