Annabella27SpectacularThis podcast is so spectacular! The latest episode about Donnie Darko is extra interesting. I also loved a previous episode about the movie “Harold and Maude”. Ann Schmitt SF Bay Area

IswoonCinemaor “movies”? This podcast is superbly interesting, many stories completely off the radar, so much more than critique. Best podcast on film, period. Rico is suave & relaxed, a great host. Theme-oriented seasons is a delightful & concentrated approach. Podcast for adults, cinephiles, or both.

DannerzzCool conceptReally enjoying this podcast! Opening my worldview. But feels like it’s produced by a bunch of dudes. I don’t hear any feminine sounding names in the credits. Disappointing!!

ErickPessoaBetter than Mubi itself (if that is possible)What a treat! I listen to more than 10 movie podcasts and I got this one just because it’s mubi, which I subscribe for ages. The episode on dream factory is a delight! I sincerely hope they keep doing those incredible film analysis tied with the movies available at Mubi. The producer/narrator is awesome!

mmnwmnGreat host. Listen to your audience. The folks at MUBI got a pro when they hired Rico. This is exactly what you hope it will be: entertaining, well-researched, just a solid good listen. DO listen to the audience though: Cover movies we can actually watch. Otherwise, you are just taunt us, and it’s hard to understand why. Giving this a season to work out the rough bits, but style, production, and host get a 5 from me.

In The Mood for FilmA truly fantastic film podcastThis podcast has become my most anticipated listening experience week to week. A fun, efficient, and in-depth exploration of movies you love and movies you have never heard of, and all of it wrapped up in a perfect hit of storytelling that will make you want to hunt down all these films.

foxibiriPlease Cover Baby’s Day OutCan you please cover why “Baby’s Day Out” was a massive, massive success in India?

Mish OlsonThe movies aren't on the Mubi serviceI listened to the first episode and really enjoyed it, but then I signed up for the service and... The movies aren't available. Why would you do this? I was so fascinated by the discussion of Turkish Delight and now I can't watch it on Mubi or, as far as I can tell, any other US-based streaming service. Then I searched for the movies the other episodes are reviewing. Nope. Maybe I'm just using the app wrong, but why would you make this podcast about movies that aren't available on your service?

sasco1900A piece of podcast perfectionRico Gagliano is a great producer, writer and narrator. Top notch production values, great voice and delivery with excellent interviews and sound mixing. Now I’m going to seek out the movies he’s discussing. Because that’s what a great podcast dies: it expands your mind while it entertains you. Hats off Rico!!!

zzzweboutstanding podcastThe podcast features excellent production work and offers so much potential for further exploration. I wish I could get in line for the matinee showing of DDLJ at Maratha Mandir. I’m hoping to hear an episode about Taiwanese film at some point.

BzzKnzzJust what I need nowIt’s just the right mix of informative and entertaining. Listening to it is a kind of vicarious travel—-and I am so craving travel. Plus, Rico is such a charming guide.

AlbertadylanInsightful AND entertaining! This podcast is such an awesome mash-up of cinema history and cultural history. It's fantastic to hear from the people who made the movie and from scholars who can provide context. Rico Gagliano is such a smart, funny, and affable host. I miss him from his days on the Dinner Party Download. Good news is that this is just as fun and entertaining as that show (although with less talk about food!)
