Stars End: A Foundation Podcast

We’re a group of middle-aged guys who loved this series as teenagers. In season one we finished revisiting the original trilogy in anticipation of the TeeVee show. Now that the show is here we won't just be enjoying it, we'll be bringing you our thoughts and predictions every week! Hopefully, through this podcast, we'll bring you along for the ride. We want to do our part to bring this series to a new group of fans who are hopefully far more diverse than the three of us.

    Best Sci-Fi Podcast
While the podcast iwas started to cover Apple TV’s Asimov’s Foundation Show, they come up with a broader and better podcast. It’s all about all of Asimov’s books in his Robot and Foundation series. And its is now the best Sci-Fi podcast. They are both serious and fun in each episode, making you want more and more from them. Two recommendations: first they could add what has been called Asimov’s Empire books: The Currents of Space, Pebble in the Sky, The Stars Like Dust. While these were never really connected to his other series, Asimov considered them as part because the stories take place in the Galactic Empire, after the Robot series and before the Foundation series. And if they really are interested in going beyond where Asimov ended, there is a trilogy covering the post Foundation series. Called the Final Foundation, the first two books are available and the final is in process.

    Part of the Conversation
My husband was very excited that someone was finally making a screen adaptation of the Foundation series. I had never read the Foundation series. But I thoroughly enjoyed listening to the gentlemen discuss them on the podcast. Through discussions with my husband and listening I felt like I was part of the conversation. As the the new tv series has gone on this has continued. I have found myself responding and talking back to the podcast. I love that. Also, they have had some interesting guests that have added to the conversation and brought differing perspectives. This has only added to the fun. I love feeling like I’m part of the conversation and hope to continue the discussion.

Fantastic discussion about the Foundation Series
I came across this podcast as I was re-reading the books ahead of the premier of the new Apple series. Their discussion of the books was instantly captivating, enlightening, and entertaining…. And nothing has changed now that they are focusing on the TV series. If you want a smart, fun, and honest conversation about all things Foundation, look no further than this podcast.

A nice blast of Foundation fun!
I found this take on Asimov’s classic a lot of fun to listen to. The three hosts have strong memories of their experiences reading the author’s works since their youth and two even attended his lectures! In the opener they fondly discuss the author’s masterpiece of appreciation for the scope of his imagination while also feeling comfortable to critique its - and its author’s - flaws without reservation. Looking forward to getting deeper into the series and wondering how the hosts will react to the new Apple TV show as it gets closer to its autumn ’21 release.
