I used to like listening to these before bed but now I am older. They are fun and creative but a little bit repetitive. Not the same episodes, but just gets boring. But still recommend!

My kids love the podcast but the ad that plays before and after about keeping kids safe from house fires has really terrified my 5 year old. If that ad is still running, and you have little ones, you may want to skip this podcast.

Our new favorite!

These stories are so fun and so well done! They are easy enough for my 4 year old to understand, interesting enough to captivate my 6 year old, and include animal facts so even I, mama, am learning new things! Some ideas for new stories from Levi and Everett - Levi (6) would like to hear a story about a beaver or a viscacha, and Everett (4) suggests a snapping turtle.

Homeschooling must have

I homeschool both my kiddos and Mr Jim’s podcast is our go to. We love his creative stories and his enthusiasm. I love that he adds questions so the kids can interact while listening. We take and Jim with us on drives, to homeschool on the go and during morning breakfast. Thanks and Mr Jim!!!

My soon-to-be 4 year old son Beckett loves Kids Animals Stories! He listens to them in the car, to go to sleep and most times when he gets a chance. He’s become so knowledgeable about animals (he asked me to see a picture of a Hercules Beetle the other day) and broke out the word diurnal yesterday.

Thank you, Mr Jim and team for such great stories for our 4 year old (and 2 year old is starting to get into them, too!). We are big fans of all the podcasts! We love learning about animals and hearing all about the adventures they go on! Crosby’s story idea: he and his brother Hendrix have to become SILVER TIGERS! Their family’s farm is being taken over by foxes - not good for the chickens, cows or horses! - and Crosby and Hendrix must save the farm. Silver tigers can jump super far and they’re super camouflaged and can blend into their surroundings.

Inspiring imagination while learning

My daughter Ruby absolutely loves Animal Stories & Kid’s short stories and will listen endlessly if I let her. I love how the stories get her imagination working (SO SO SO much better than a TV show) and also teaches her something each time. Ruby said if she could be any animal that she would be a unicorn so that she could fly & age would fly to the top if a skyscraper to have a snack of cream cheese toast & dried cranberries 🦄 Thanks for the great stories & calm you bring to our house 😊 Update: Ruby has been learning about wild cats and wants to be a Margay cat because they are good climbers and also super cute.

Our neighbors’ kid, Eamon, and our kids, Johann and Elise, carpool to school and listen to the podcast. They love the creative stories and share their own knowledge of the animals that are featured. They are hoping they can be a pod of orcas for a future show or other sea creatures. Eamon is sick this week and the pod is missing him! Thanks for doing this!

I recently had to change to podcasts due to my mocking bird of a 4 year old. We found this podcast and ow he constantly asks to hear the animal stories. Our favorite is the mystery animals. My son, Paul, would love to be featured on an episode as an eastern rat snake. (Not sure why this is his favorite animal now)
