    Please! Less interrupting!
Let your dad talk! He’s the expert and has something to say! So frustrating…

Will you please link the research studies?
Hello, I listen to this podcast with such enthusiasm and share with people. I learn so much. My request is please link the research studies in your podcast notes so I can reference and share them with the health professionals I work with. I went back and read the transcript, but I cannot find a particular study I remember Dr. Furman talking about it. Again, it would be so helpful if you could link these studies to your podcast notes. Thank you! Rebecca

I went plant-based years ago, in large part, thanks to Dr Fuhrman’s books. It saddens me that he has given in to the allure of selling supplements. I simply cannot trust a Dr who makes money selling supplements, it is a conflict of interest and I will no longer be listening.

    Super informative
I am really loving learning about Dr Furman’s studies, and individual “slant” on a plant based diet. The interaction between him and Jenna makes it a very enjoyable show. Thanks!

    Amazingly informative and entertaining podcasts
All of Joel and Jenna Fuhrman’s podcasts are very well constructed and are packed with a ton of health information. I learn something new in every podcast. I especially love Jenna’s empathy for non-nutritarian people out there. Please keep up the good work and post more of your talks.

    Science based makes the difference
Dr. Furman‘s book Eat to Live changed my life years ago. What I appreciate most about his philosophy is that it is based in science, and he looks at topics from multiple angles to provide as much information for the listener/reader to make an informed decision for themselves. Sometimes this may force you to recognize your current lifestyle is not ideal, and that can make you uncomfortable at first, but that’s what I love about the podcast - it stretches your thinking in different and more informed ways.

    Love this podcast!
I was so happy to find Dr. Fuhrman and his lovely daughter had started this wonderful podcast! I have worked towards becoming 100% Nutritarian since I read the book, Eat to Live. When I eat this way, I feel so incredible and I notice my blood panels all lining up beautifully. I love to receive the information, education and inspiration that Dr. Fuhrman and his family are so passionate about sharing. This podcast is a really incredible resource!

Excellent ! New favorite night time leaning
"Thrilled to discover Dr. Fuhrman's podcast after owning all his books! ❤️ The content is fantastic, but I've found that adjusting the daughter's voice to match her father's would enhance the overall experience. Falling asleep with this insightful podcast has become a cherished routine.

    Most accurate and concise
I am well educated on most of their topics and have caught almost no errors! (Significantly different from about 20 other podcasts I’ve heard). And Dr Furman’s explanations are deeper, more relevant, yet short vs the competition. I’m impressed with how UTD and erudite he is. Caveats: he’s pure vegetarian which is not as healthy as a mostly plant diet with well sourced cheese/yogurt/dairy, meat, liver, eggs in small amounts for balance. He lacks prioritization or benefit:effort advice (as do nearly all as it’s hard to calculate). Most listeners can’t adapt all the way so which changes are most worthwhile to start with and then do next? As do all of us, he generalizes in areas where specific knowledge is lacking. I don’t think we should fear micro toxins in our food as much nor get much organic food as he does. But do absolutely avoid any ground grain product like flour because food addiction and malnutrition is anchored or rooted in the grain family and some seed oils. Worthwhile shortcuts as pill supplements: Vitamins D and maybe K2. Magnesium, maybe zinc, iodine (and iron for women) chromium all can help as pills taken at mealtime. DHA and EPA in capsules. N-AcetylCysteine (NAC) 600 mg twice daily during flu season for sure and maybe always. These are the supplements I recommended to most of my patients. Learn about Vitamin D. Deficiency is very common and life threatening. The medical world will trivialize and misinform you about it. Vitamin D is an anabolic hormone that our bodies want to make for us. Going low is like castration or menopause to your immune system. We learned recently that those with Vitamin D deficiency struggle even to fight off a simple virus like Covid 19! (Reliable studies worldwide show you are at least 5-10 times more likely to die from Covid if D deficient). Your sickness and risk is worse if you also have fatty liver. I also recommend 250 mg Mg daily or more for everyone. Might help, can’t hurt, very cheap.

    Best Podcast on the Planet
Wow, I learn so much from this podcast. As a result, I'm inspired to be the best version of myself I can be, by eating the foods that make me fit, alert, and immune from the diseases that strike everyone else, especially in old age. Bylistening to Dr. Furhman and his daughter, I'm supremely confident that I'm getting the best nutritional information available.

This man completely ignores any health benefits of meat. He sells super expensive stove supplements and doesn't take kindly to being criticized. Follow Dr. Ken Berry mor Anthony Chaffee instead.

30 + years’ experience made relateable
Dr Fuhrman’s dedication & commitment to evangelizing the public re:th benefits of a wfpb diet never ceases to amaze me. This podcast with his daughter is SO good and getting better with each episode. At first, as a long time follower of Dr. Fuhrman & ETL (since ‘06) i was skeptical the podcast would have anything new to offer me. Alas, I am happy to say I was proven wrong. Particularly the supplements episode which I initially thought would be for people new to the diet & formulaic, but in fact had so much interesting info I was not very aware of such as the neurological problems many of his elder mentors experienced and his commitment to making sure we don’t make the same mistakes they did. Anyhow, i could go on & on but just wanted to say this is fantastic and I look forward to more episodes. Some topics I’m particularly am interested in perhaps more on oxalic acid he touched on, histamine intolerance & female hormone health in 40s-50s, salt use & bone health. And also an episode on what labs to get done and how often would be useful! Thank you!

Jenna asks questions that the majority of us have and struggle with; Very informative
Jenna was very relatable and asked questions that the majority of us struggle with; such as time management, living in a space where we can’t garden very easily, coping with different temperature and weather factors where we live, and just also the struggle with sometimes having the discipline to do the things that we know we need to do. The first plant based podcast where I felt like she shared some of the struggles that main stream people grapple with even though we know the important things that we need to be doing for our health. It seems when I listen to a podcast about plant-based diets the majority of the people leading them are elite level athletes and physicians who obviously showed that they have a tremendous amount of discipline to get where they are; but 90% of us don’t have that and therefore it’s good to have someone talking for us about how we struggle day-to-day with discipline and stress and things that get us off track

This is not a review on Dr. Fuhrman podcast but for all of them!

Most Explicit Description About the Optimal Diet
Dr. Fuhrman is brilliant and for decades has been advocating a whole foods, plant-based diet along with Dr. Michael Klaper and Dr. Neal Barnard. While citing the research and his experience through his pioneering practice, he provides his audience with a clear understanding of why his Nutritarian Diet is the healthiest way of eating.

    So Helpful!
This is so insightful! I’ve been trying to eat to live a better/healthier life and have taken a lot away from this show. Would love to see an episode on caffeine and the effects on our health.

    Amazing Podcast!
Dr. Fuhrman is a gem and is the reason why I switched from a vegan diet to a whole food plant based lifestyle. He presents the science and no one can refute any of it. We need more episodes Jenna!

    Great podcast
I’ve eaten Nutratarian for several years and experienced excellent health, despite my advanced age. This podcast has cleared up several lingering questions I have had. I’m grateful for it and look forward to every episode.

Best Podcast, we need to share this podcast with everyone we know!!!
I am so happy to see there’s a new episode today! I learned about this podcast in December, listened to all of the episodes and began reading Dr. Fuhrman’s book, “Eat For Life”. I immediately shared the knowledge with my husband and we decided to change our eating habits! January has been an exciting month, we have learned so much about vegetables, plant based recipes, our energy levels have been amazing after years of struggling with it and we have lost ten pounds each. I have shared this information with my family and a friend. Thank you for sharing this information with us. I was so clueless on what to eat or even how to care for my body. This has totally transformed our lives!! Thank you so much!!

Great Info Based in Honest Science
I have reversed Diabetes by eating Nutritarian in spite of all confusing nutrition advice everywhere which is contradictory. I read Eat to Live and Fasting & Eating for Heath by Dr Fuhrman. The fasting cured my plantar fibroma on foot (Viking’s Disease). Decided to believe in Dr McDougall, Dr Ornish and Dr Furhman after seeing results on President Clinton. The food CAN be made tasty without oil and sugar. Please don’t give up on this podcast if it sounds too strict! It isn’t and gets easy after awhile as taste buds change. It’s true. Both Jenna & Dr Furhman are very articulate. I just suggest slowing down as both of you talk so fast and there is so much information so the slower delivery would make listening more enjoyable. Thank you for saving my life. Don’t give up no matter how many haters. I try to be a walking example to others without putting them off and I know that future will be Plant Based. ♥️🥗♥️

    The more Fuhrman, the better!
Complements to the chef! There are two main things I love about this podcast. The first is obviously the content, which is not only highly informational, but also delivered in an easily-digestible (ha) and often humorous, good-natured yet direct style. No sugar coating here! (ok I’ll stop) The other thing I love is the rapport between Joel and Jenna, father and daughter. It’s obvious this intelligent young lady has greatly benefited through her upbringing… a path that was probably at times not the easiest, but that taught her the tools and passion to live a truly healthy lifestyle. A lifestyle so powerful that she wants to spread and amplify that message to help others live their own best lives. I have two young daughters myself. It inspires me to think that someday we could have this type of relationship, that they’ll take my advice seriously enough to not only integrate it, but also spread the word as we support each other through research and healthy choices. Each episode leaves me hungry for more (sorry, I said I’ll stop) and I’ve listened to a few of the past episodes multiple times. It’s a great companion to Dr. Fuhrman’s books and the Nutritarian diet itself, which I hope more people can approach with an open mind and heart.

It’s great, you might even say it’s yuge!
I started this a year ago at 27 years old 6’3”and dropped from 226 to 186 which is a few pounds less than I weighed in high school and my hypoglycemia and migraine symptoms went away and my total cholesterol dropped from 234 to 120. I enjoy not being lethargic or light headed between meals and there’s no going back to feeling terrible all the time
