My husband found this podcast and we have really enjoyed playing trivia on our long car rides! We are picky about pub trivia and think Sam writes tough but fair trivia questions and love the different formats for rounds that keep things interesting. Usually I have to keep track of our answers in a note on my phone while my husband drives so we can solve the acrostics or figure out the common initials. My husband and I (we just got married this weekend!!) absolutely love this podcast and have been fans since the beginning! We have tried out so many trivia podcasts, and this is by far the best one. We love how creative the rounds & clues are and how it is about so much more than just random knowledge. It makes it so entertaining and helps pass the time. We are currently on a road trip to Virginia for our “mini-moon” and can’t wait to listen to a few episodes on the way!! This podcast has been the highlight of my summer. My boyfriend and I just graduated college and we have done a lot of road trips with Pub Trivia at center stage. I think we’ve binged at least 50 episodes so far (especially those with Short Answer Chain). This is my favorite trivia! Sam always has fun rounds that are challenging but not impossible. He has unique rounds and a variety of topics. Thank you Sam for such fun trivia! We always listen to this on road trips!

Sam does a wonderful job of providing fun rounds with various levels of difficulty for the trivia fans. He is one of the most humble sounding hosts in the pod world and listens can tell he truly loves to entertain. I’ve been a fan and listener for awhile and will continue to be one. And for the amount of a cup of coffee you can be a paid subscriber and help support his labor of love. It’s well worth it and I encourage everyone to partake. I’m a huge professional wrestling fan and would love to see the challenge for you to do a “The Alphabet Round” with wrestling as the theme :-) Keep up the amazing work and thank you for everything you do.

I love playing bar trivia and am glad to have found a podcast that allows me to keep playing! The rounds are fun and love how there’s a puzzle theme when answering questions! The podcast is great for long car rides and trying to keep your brain sharp.

My husband and I have been listening to (and loving) this podcast for years. Sam is so warm and friendly-sounding, and the questions are the perfect level of difficulty. We have to think hard and guess (but sometimes get lucky!) on some, we certainly miss a few, but that’s the fun of trivia!! Who wants to play a game that’s boringly easy?? We’re big road-trippers and Sam has kept us company for many adventures in the car. I honestly feel like he’s a friend at this point. We so very much appreciate the hours of entertainment Sam & his podcast have brought us! Highly recommend giving it a try if you’re a trivia fan!

My boyfriend and I are big trivia fans. It’s been an integral part of our relationship, from first dates to doing weekly trivia at our fave restaurant. Needless to say, we’ve listened to a lot of trivia podcasts trying to find our car ride go-to. It is EASILY pub trivia. Sam is fun to listen to and engaging, which is hard to do when it’s not live! We’ve been longtime listeners now and truly look forward to each new episode. Thank you Sam for all the good times you’ve helped us have :)

A lot of trivia packed into a short time frame

We found The Pub Trivia Group podcast about 6 months ago and now it is a weekly event for us. The host, Sam does a great job putting together a very creative and entertaining show each week. Our family has also participated in the monthly live shows that Sam hosts on YouTube. These have been a great way to get our family together and compete as a team. It is definitely the best trivia podcast that we have found. Keep up the great work, Sam , the Cape Crusaders are big fans!

This is the best trivia podcast I’ve ever listened to, and I’ve tried quite a few. Sam is personable, speaks clearly and slowly, and mixes in a little comedy but not at the expense of the quiz itself. His theme rounds are excellent and fun to decipher. Most shows are thirty minutes or so, so it’s easy to fit in during a shorter drive. Look forward to playing one of his live online games!

I love this trivia podcast because the host is funny and personable, makes silly banter here and there, but gets right to the questions and answers - the actual trivia - which a lot of other podcasts take forever to get to. If you like actual trivia and not an entire talkshow, this is definitely the best around.

I’ve been searching a bit for a good trivia podcast and this one does not disappoint! The speed at which he speaks is perfect, he allows an excellent amount of time for considering the questions before providing the answers. I particularly love that he has a rotating selection of games in the episodes. I just started listening about two weeks ago and I’ve already heard the entire catalog. I can’t wait for more!

I’m all about that bass… and trivia. But my God, this background bass is so unbearably overpowering I had to switch pods! 🥴Change the background/tone it down and I’ll be back!

Down here in my small town of Sebastian, FL, trivia is alive and well and I host a pub quiz every two weeks! Your show has inspired groups of questions, ideas for rounds, and helped build a really cool pub trivia culture at Pareidolia Brewing! Thanks, Sam for putting the energy into this fabulous podcast! I love this Podcast! It’s my go-to trivia podcast!

I don’t usually review Podcasts negatively. I figure even if the contents not to my taste l, someone might like it. But this mediocre podcast has 5 stars and that’s just wrong, so I have to skew the results to be more realistic. Apparently this guy only has four friends because that’s how many five star reviews he has. It’s average! It’s very average! The host has a very monotone voice and does little to create a sense of excitement or enjoyment in what he’s doing. The questions are not easy, that’s okay, but when he has his brother on the show (who he professes is a musical expert) the brother fails miserably. You might then consider that your questions are poorly conceived or subjects are too esoteric for the average listener. (Let’s face it half the fun of trivia shows is that you can answer the questions.) Anyway I’m unsubscribing immediately and I wouldn’t recommend.
