The casino ads are especially abrasive and offensive.

    not for me
feels eternal and pointless at moments…goes on and on in circles. That’s the feeling I get.

Sorry, Dr. Rachel Toles was difficult to listen to. Seemed so excitable and breathless and did not make a professional impression.

    Started out great
This is an interesting story that spans decades. In general, Alexis has taken care to show discretion and empathy for the victims and their family. However, given lack of new information while prosecutors built their case, the podcasts seems to be increasingly relying on the disclosure of graphic and disturbing details of the bodies and how to victims were tortured and killed. I stopped listening because I question the point of revealing these details other than to keep ppl listening by appealing to their base instincts for gore and voyeurism. If it were my family member, I would not want this information out there for public consumption and entertainment without some good reason that might be helpful to the case. It’s shameful.

    Seems like good journalism
I just got done listening to season 4. The LISK season and all the follow ups were good, made me want to listen to more. The season about ‘expert testimony’ was vindicating as I’d previously heard a lot about how forensic ‘science’ isn’t actually. Good podcast! The one daughter in season 4 absolutely reeks of privilege. Her family has suffered terrible tragedy and I don’t know that I agree with her dad being convicted. That aside, she clearly doesn’t know how to handle the world if it’s not served to her on a silver platter.

    Informative, professionally done, well researched
Jensen and Linkletter have done an in-depth investigation into the staggering amount of corruption by the Suffolk police department for years — and showing what a sexual predator and sociopath former Police Commissioner Burke was as well as the investigation in the the LISK. They had good connections to people with knowledge and insight into both the corruption and the LISK investigation.

If you only listen to one podcast on LISK, this would be the one
I listened first to the “LISK” podcast and thoroughly enjoyed it. I thought nothing could top it. I was wrong. Though it is top notch, and I would recommend it, this show goes into so much more detail and keeps us informed

    Change Ep 2 Title
Highly recommend changing the title of Episode 2?????? The build-up was spectacular and then it’s literally given away when you click the next episode? What’s the point of that amazing build-up?

    Jaw dropping
Alexis reports the LISK investigation in a way that keeps you on your toes and listening intently episode after episode. I have been listening to podcasts about the victims and possible suspects and she still manages to drop my jaw time after time with her telling of the events. The episodes are well constructed and provide in-depth reviews of different victims and the horrors they faced. With a break in the investigation, the podcast hasn’t missed a beat covering all the new information coming to light and more possible victims. I truly think this podcast and similar reports have helped catch LISK and continue the fight for justice for the victims. I’m on the edge of my seat waiting to hear more.

No Other Podcast has covered this case as well as Alexis
Hands down Alexis is the best investigative journalist ever

    WOW
This podcast is so in depth and I love alexis’ coverage and interviews
  • Angry Redhead
    Sensationalist Garbage
This pod has always been a bit more sensational than I like- lots of speculation and innuendo. However, hearing you mention the art of Rex’s daughter is beyond GROSS. It has nothing to do with the case and only serves to fan the flames of conspiracies and misinformation. The kids are VICTIMS who have nothing to do with this case and are suffering due to the sins of their father. Leave them alone! At this point, no credible journalist would validate any of John Ray’s whackadoo theories. On LISK, Ray has been a nut since day one. His ideas and insinuations have been proven wrong time after time. Please do better.

    The best LISK podcast
I’ve been listening since the beginning and Alexis does the best job covering this absolutely wild case.
  • Rolth
So much better than the other LISK podcast
I have only seen 2 podcasts that seem to be exclusively dedicated to this case, and this is by far the better one by a mile.

    Hmm
Is Alexis wearing a retainer while recording? The guests are absolutely ridiculous. A victim was killed with a Glock… oh Rex owned Glocks…. Connection! Most gun owners own Glocks. Also, Angela Arnold comes across as a total goof. Not one thing seems to be based on a psychiatric evaluation but more a personal stance. How rigid an architect is? Geez. I believe Rex is guilty don’t get me wrong. But this is basically an entertainment podcast rather than a true crime reporting podcast. Deep dive episodes… not really. Dateline does deep dives investigating for years. Alexis and company act like they have helped catch this man and have some inside info and really love to mention that he listen to this and the first degree. Such a waste.

    Can’t get enough!
This is such a phenomenal podcast, that just keeps getting more and more compelling. Alexis does a great job interviewing subjects. Everything is so meaty with no filler like some other podcasts. I also really like the music, oddly enough. I’m from Long Island, but I’ve recommended it to people outside of the area and they are just as hooked. I wish there didn’t have to be a podcast about this killer, I am heartbroken for the victims’ loved ones, but I am so grateful Ray Tierney reopening the investigation.

    A learning experience
I grew up in Queens and lived in Long Island in my 20’s … I thank this podcast for sharing facts and nuggets that dispel rumors and instead shares with the listener a well thought out, investigated sides to a full story. My heart prays with all the families involved that were touched by this tragedy. Thank you

Her 911 call is so strange to me. Her voice and the way she is talking is just so weird sounding to me. I can’t help but feel she was under the influence. It doesn’t even sound like someone who is really really upset. It’s just strange. No judgement that’s not what I’m saying at all. I just wish I could understand what was actually going on. No doubt she was the victim.

One of THE BEST TC Podcasts
Hands down, the best true crime podcast I’ve ever listened to. Nothing but straight facts and content. No random cackling or jokes or unnecessarily commenting.

Not Expecting Much But Was Wowed!!
I originally listened to a different podcast relating to the Long Island serial killer and found it to be incredibly informative and well done. I heard Unraveled advertise on another podcast that I listen to, not related to the Long Island serial killer, so thought I would give it a try. Not expecting much new information when I started but wow, was I surprised!! I love how everything was tied together with Burke and Spotta with the corruption and the possibility of Heuermann being somehow involved with Burke and killings. It is fascinating if you haven't listened, you should. Great job, can't wait for the next update!!

    Just WoW!
I’m already on pins ane needles to hear the next episode! Two of my faves - Alexis & Billy are amazing story tellers. I thought I already knew this case so well but I have a feeling going to be some big jaw drops in this podcast!

    Long Island Serial Killer/s
Alexis and team, your tenacity from years ago to help all these victims and bring justice is admirable. You had uncovered so much before law enforcement even helped. Thankful you are here to update all the listeners in real time. Thank you for your dedication. May justice be served!

    Definitely Worth a Listen
I look forward to every update and am not disappointed. Very thoughtful, and mindful of the victims families and at the same time giving the listener a great breakdown of events. I hope the families involved will finally get answers about their loved ones! Prayers for them

    Great Work
Watched “Lost Girls” on Netflix and was reminded of the girls on the news. Then was really confused about the lack of arrests. I mean this is mind boggling. Insane story and a must listen for all women. Beware!

    Update!
I have been waiting for the update on the latest news! And I look forward to hearing what you’ve been working so hard on the past 5 months!! This case is mind-boggling!!

Major break in the case- where are you guys?
This is an awesome podcast but there was a major break in the case this past week and there is still no update from you guys. I’m anxious to hear from you and what you think! Hopefully we will hear from you soon?

    Great work!
Really well done podcast on a fascinating case. Alexis is coming into her own as a fantastic journalist with astute questions, comprehensive views, and bringing in well-informed guests. This is one of the top LISK podcasts out there, if not #1. Thank you for keeping us up to date and informed!

    Season 4 is so biased
I love this podcast but season 4 is garbage. It’s so biased. They hardly talk about Diane (the actual victim) This season betrays this poor rich white family who are abused by the system. My eyes hurt by the end from rolling them into the back of my head. Laws apply to even the rich seem to be difficult for the ward family to grasp It’s so bizarre
  • Sarah Marie!
    Billy! Billy! Billy!
Please bring Billy back!! This podcast is suffering without him.

Don’t really like true crime podcasts
I’m not really into true crime podcasts but my friend told me to listen to this so I did. The story is crazy in and of itself but the team behind this does a great job. From the structure, to the music to the people narrating it, it’s a must listen if you have time. Amazing what’s unfolding with this story.
  • J_troxell2000

    Great & informative pod!

    It’s
N-U-C-L-E-A-R, Alexis. Go ahead, take every vowel and flip them interchangeably. Channel George W. Bush on your scripted podcast without bothering to edit. Christ, I need to go lay down.
  • Da Bicycle Ridah
    Too Thirsty for Crimes
There is entirely too much revelry in the gruesome details, and the cheesy, canned, overly melodramatic music adds to the distasteful vibe of this ‘cast.
  • gonefishcaking
    Great storytelling
Hate billy had to go and be not a great guy bc it’s a lot harder to listen to without him.
  • Ajbuda
    Thank God they aren’t cops
And interesting podcast, but their last analysis of the arrest, is a very good example of how cops get tunnel vision. They go hard in the paint on anything that might make him look guilty, even if it make very little sense, and then immediately dismiss anything that goes against what their angle is, even if it is a more reliable source, with actual information. Don’t get me wrong, I think the guy did it, but their way of investigating is exactly what all the wrongfully accused (and one of their previous seasons) talk about.
  • Karen now Kitty
    The ultimate investigative journalism.
I have followed this pod since the beginning. Really well done. It’s akin to the murdaugh Muders with Liz and Mandy. Well done

    Great Podcast!
I love everything you do Alexis! Thank you for advocating for these women. They will not be forgotten!
  • EssieWillows
    Too Much Fluff
I used to love this podcast but there is way too much fluff. I kept following until the most recent episode. The questions she asked a victim’s sister were disgusting… why bring up the “murderbalia” and put that in her head if it wasn’t already there. This is exactly what Sara Turney is talking about when she mentioned the need for true crime ethics.
  • SavesSpiders
    Their objectivity is refreshing
I listen to a lot of true crime podcasts (both serious and light true crime podcasts) and it’s unusual to come across one that explores all points of view. Their objectivity is refreshing. There is always more than one side to a story and UNRAVELED does a great job of investigating as many as possible. I always look forward to a new episode and the hosts’ take on the topic. Although many podcasts boast that they do a “deep dive” into a subject, but UNRAVELED should show them how it’s done!
  • MY-41
    So much speculation
This is for the LISK episodes only. Started out great but there is so much speculation in the recent episodes between the narrator and psychiatrist that have no basis in fact that it’s annoying to listen to. Just sounds like people gossiping and not actual journalism.
  • Lordfiredeath
    Great Beginning, Tabloid Future
This might not be as evident if I hadn’t been flying through episodes at the start but the series begins so well with fact finding journalism and true crime narrative but with the recent updates in the LISK case it plays more like a tabloid. The use of a Nancy Grace-esque “expert” ended my binge listen real quick. You’ve got to not make assumptions on journalism and this feels like nothing but as of late.

    Unraveled LISK
I should preface this by saying I'm not grading the show as a whole. I'm reviewing the Unraveled LISK series. Maybe even moreso the current ad campaign they are running. Currently Unraveled is running ads for a LISK series. However this was a series completed two years before the arrest of the suspect. It spends seven episodes detailing, masterfully, the corruption in the Suffolk County police department that hindered the investigation but the episodes about the actual killer are an additional five episodes that were recorded after. Additionally the show is advertising a series that, for the original series, featured a cohost who was later dismissed from the podcast over allegations of misconduct. It's really jarring when you launch episode one and suddenly there he is with no warning.
