Most useful podcast I’ve found for better understanding myself and emotions
Everything we should have been taught about emotions, connection, and how to be a person in middle school. No one taught us, but thankfully these guys are here to do it retroactively

These guys teach WHO TO BE
Joe and Brett are the power-duo that makes this podcast special. They really delve into the emotional component of success and business, which virtually all other podcasts seem to ignore. Their insights really challenge me to be a better leader in my business and family, and I need that. The old saying that people don’t care how much you know, til they know how much you care has a new home with this podcast. Thanks for being the bright light on this!!!

    A beautiful bait and switch.
This podcast is a beautiful bait and switch. You think it’s about business coaching, but really it’s about connecting our emotions (not a strength for Type A personalities) with our insecurities, blind spots and unmet desires. Joe and Brett are a wise duo!

    Wisdom
I go back to the dialogue in these often. So much wisdom comes through in the conversation with Joe. Thank you for the IRL examples.

I don’t know why this is so good
I found this on twitter, apparently its a podcast by some business coaches but far from being cheap self help business advice every episode I have listened to is a complete banger full of deep wisdom about how to live, relationships, meaning etc. I haven’t come across anything nearly as good as this.

    Important
I’ve listened to a lot of podcasts, but this is the only one that has actually improved my life. I have bettered my relationships with others and myself.

    interesting but get repetitive
I enjoyed the first few but then the limitations of what they is doing started to show through. It’s basically about owning what you feel and say, and Joe Hudson plays out what that can do for you. And it can be impressive, but it wears off bc it’s framed for a very particular population, quite conventional, and the set of assumptions they are working within are can get your eyes rolling.

    Precise language about fuzzy topics
Joe and Brett consistently illuminate emotional dynamics in a way that makes me immediately recognize what’s happening in myself more clearly. I find myself thinking “oh, THATS what’s happening in me or in this relationship!” So much wisdom and practical advice. And so much Openheartedness and vulnerability. Great for work, love and friendships. Everyone will benefit tremendously from this podcast.

    Transformational
This podcast is the tip of an iceberg, one that’s hidden from the hustle and bustle of everyday. Each time I listen, I return to the hustle more present and alive in my relationships.

Joe and Brett take concepts and insights that could easily be cloying or overwrought and bring them into a warm and grounded conversation. I get so many insights from this podcast and have sent it to many friends. I have yet to find someone who doesn’t love it! You can feel the enjoyment they have in talking to each other and it makes listening enjoyable and entertaining.

    Worth Every Second. Thank You
I recently just finished listening to every single episode in this podcast, and sincerely, from the very bottom of my heart, thank you Brett and Joe. This podcast was truly transformational for me. I’ve spent so much time working with all sorts of modalities for healing and growth, and this was by far the most practical and easy to implement. I spent a lot less time than usual wrestling with heady esoteric intellectualizations and far more time in my body noticing the subtle differences between bracing and embracing. The last couple months for me have been by far the most emotionally volatile of my life, so this podcast was especially timely - helping me to welcome, trust and learn from the big feelings of grief, anger and fear as they moved through my body.

This is more than insight porn
Meaning: I often find that useful podcasts around Self-Development hit hard during the listen, but then fade away during the day. No matter how hard I try to fight that with notes. This is different. I expect that’s because a lot of what they talk about can be experienced right away with some body sensation, or can be easily mapped onto some experience you once had, because it’s *about* body sensations, and not merely theoretical. It shows that Joe’s experience is grounded in the reality of all the people he worked with. I’ve been listening to this podcast for months, often repeating episodes multiple times. It noticeably changed my life. ‘Noticeably’ doesn’t even seem to be the right word, for that seems to hint at a subtle shift; The podcast – and the integration of it – drastically reduced suffering in my life, enabled me to express myself in difficult moments, and invited more joy and love in my life. Even more than the feeling that “I’m finally at a great place,” I feel that I’m on an ever-lasting, ever-refining, vibrant journey of self-discovery. While most of these lessons come from Joe Hudson, co-host Brett does an admirable job at extracting these ideas, summarising them with care and nuance, and poking it when it’s unclear. Grateful for both, this is special. Love, love, love.
