Ballistic BelleLow EnergyHum drum. This is less of a podcast and more of an audio articles feature. There is a qualitative difference, by illustration, between listening to the WSJ podcast and listening to the audio version of WSJ printed articles. The episode on Bora Bora was delivered as if reading a eulogy. It managed to make the cheerful island sound depressing. The narrator’s vocal fry was so grating (to ears over 35) that it was distracting. The material could be delightful if given a real production effort.

spideyparker202Well-narrated, immersive, and informativeReally love this podcast. Read by the author of the original article, each episode is well-narrated, immersive (audio added in “behind” the narration), and informative. I learn so much about each location and I really feel like I’m there with the author/narrator. Keep them coming, CNT!

AggieShepRelaxing and ThrillingListening to these stories makes me excited to travel again hopefully soon. It’s great that the authors of the stories are the ones to tell them. Great to listen to after a long day at work to escape.
