This has been so helpful and I have loved listening to it! It is my first year as a counselor and we have been doing everything virtually. As a counselor who is always looking for ways to improve my relationships with the students I serve, this podcast is a great way to hear about different strategies to help them while also providing some relief for my own anxieties as a counselor.

I love how these podcasts have the perfect balance of light hearted conversation and stories and practical strategies! This combination makes them easy to listen to! I particularly liked episode 68 about using a countdown calendar to build rapport. This is a new and creative idea! This will help teacher students skills and get them excited for upcoming breaks.

As a new elementary school counselor, much of my anxiety of the unknown was alleviated as I began to listen to Rachel’s advice and expertise when it comes to counseling. I’ve gained a lot of useful information and tools that will put me on the right track to having a successful program.
