atonaldenimReally fun movie showI only wish it was a little more tightly edited to delete some of the dead air. PS Paul will we ever get another season of Love? đđ˝

DrThrowDownLow energy hostsThe hosts have low energy bored voices. Also each episode takes a large amount of storage when downloaded

EEKOnFilmDecent showThe show is good, except Iâm tired of hearing about Mattâs personal stuff. I know youâre proud of your baby and she was just born recently, but barely anyone cares, trust me. Lately more than ever, the first half hour of the show is devoted to these two just going over life events when the audience came for movie talk. I donât care about the renovations of your house, Matt, do you care about the ones at my place? No. I feel like the Conan gig made him fatter and lazier. More complacent and rich... The shows suffer from it. Also, Gourleyâs southern lawyer character is stolen from Bob Odenkirkâs Mr. Show southern lawyer character, at the very least. Maybe Bob stole it too, but I KNOW Gourley stole Bobâs. I find that egregious. My only beef with Rust is how often he goes âuh uh uhâŚâ between every other sentence. You know how you can remove pauses in podcasts? I want a âuh uh uhâ remover, please.

partikalSeverely lackingOne of them just said that âStrangers on a Trainâ was Hitchcockâs first US film. Thatâs an insult to research. Had to turn them off.
-
non4menameNopeCanât do it. I couldnât get through a single show. As others have mentioned, they get side-tracked constantly and it becomes near impossible to follow them. It feels less like an actual show and more like youâre just listening to two guys talk over a beer. Which doesnât make for interesting content at all.
-
apmurphygogoGrreat show!Love how off the rails the topics get. And love the movie selections!!!
-
The Man, The Mytch, The LegendSo much cozeI sure like blood and guts Especially when lengthily discussed

nato9990Greatâget it togetherâ Paul is fantastic, if you donât agree there are MANY other podcasts to watch lol

FreshZEarly episodes were great, now itâs too negativeThe early seasons (F13, Halloween, etc) were great. Very funny and interesting with a lot of nostalgia. Lately though, they have become overly negative about movies that are decent or at least not that bad. Itâs made the whole affair a lot less fun. Still some good episodes every now and then, but I hope they can rediscover their interest from the early years.

ttsquared77Great show, love these guysGourley and rust is such a fun pod, always love their movie choices.
-
NcfjunkLove it - but technical issuesI figured out the Disclosure/The Temp switcharoo- fine - no problem. However, the iPhone/apple podcast app keeps unfollowing. Every couple of weeks I have to search and refollow. Not sure whose issue it is. Regardless - one of my favorites.
-
j_leddyPaulâs ruining the podThe last few episodes have been littered with Paulâs stuttering and long silent and uncomfortable delays. The episodes are now 10% about the movie and 90% Paul going WAY off course and rambling incoherently. GET IT TOGETHER, PAUL
-
RoeLuvLove it.. ButSomething strange happened. I got two episodes of The Temp in back to back weeks, instead of Disclosure. Maybe this only happened to me???

NestorBeanwichDisclosure Ep Seems to be the Temp again...Disclosure Ep Seems to be the Temp again...

DabneyduSo much funLove the sidetracks, tangents, and thoughtful introspection on what itâs like to be a kid/young adult.

itsdavieHorror movie friends!I love Rusty Gore!
-
SFG_FanThe bestI just absolutely love Matt and Paul. I could listen to Gourley talk about movies and spy books all day. One of the things I like best is they give each other room to breath and develop a thought. Too often podcasts have guys (and girls) just talking over each other nonstop. It makes for a hard listen even if itâs a subject I like. Gourley will just sit back and let Paul talk through his thought. They simply are, the best. This means pepper!
-
tyler (a dummy)super niche but if youâre their audience itâs sure to scratch an itchdo you fancy genre movies? are you interested in COZINESS? this might just be your favorite podcast horror movies discussed at great length from the super specific perspective(s) of GOURLEY & RUST, a lovely duo, funny and phenomenally informative, warm-hearted fellows
-
josiehA change of heartI used to hate this podcast but I gave the shining series a shot and holy cow itâs actually good.
-
Big A 316I tried and triedâŚI tried with Friday the 13th episodes. I tried with Sleepaway Camp. I tried with Silent Night Deadly Night. But, when you have two know-nothings rambling on about anything but the movie they are supposedly discussing, itâs impossible to enjoy the podcast. These guys know nothing about horror films and itâs absolutely criminal that they both have been able to swindle people and sponsors out of their money supporting this endeavor. These men are idiots and may God have mercy on their souls. I would give it 0 stars if allowed.
-
Sigma TaurusBoring. Awkward.Mostly off topic conversation and anecdotes. And just boring.
-
BrandonRDThis means pepperThe sidetracks are the best part guys! They have fun stories about life that are entertaining. If you want pretentious guys swooning over how amazing a movie is then listen to Sean Fennessey on the Rewatchables.
-
diegoaaf10I like them but Rusty needs public speaking classesI have loved both personalities in different projects, Gourley in James Bonding and Paul Rust in the netflix show Love. But JESUS H CHRIST the podcast is filled with uncomfortable silences cringey laughs and âAAHHMMM, UUHHHGGG, YEAAAHH, WHAT WAS I SAYINGâ by Paul Rust that almost completely kills the chemistry that they clearly share as friends. Paul needs some classes in public speaking so that he stops âuhh uhhhh ingâ every 5 minutes, through out all of it.
-
tiannaj23Love it!I have never enjoyed spooky/scary movies but once I found out Paul Rust had a pod I had to give it a listen. What a delight!! idk how yâall have the ability to open tabs on tabs on tabs and still get back to the original point but I greatly enjoy it. âď¸

Bcain579Horrible audio constantlyLike this podcast and the vibes. They talk about lots of good movies. Only downside is that so many episodes have horrible zoom audio that makes them unlistenable . I get that things happen but this is a weekly podcast that in theory should be planned out. Not that hard to plug in a mic from Amazon and record quality audio guys.
-
poezarianJohn Popper is in Alien3âŚI mean in the Blues Brother Excursus on the Alien3 ep you both rust and gourley admit to not seeing BB2000 and then proceed to say John Popper should have been in BB2000. But he is⌠Thanks. Love the chatsâŚ

Evildead1986LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS PODCAST.I absolutely love this show!!!! I listen to Conan OâBriens podcast and I absolutely love it. Matt Gourley on there is so hilarious and I knew heâs been doing podcasts, since the mayflower came to this country. So I wanted to find out what other ones heâs done. So I listen to his James Bond podcast And love it!!!! Matt and Paul have such an awesome friendship, and are hilarious! They remind me of me and my nerdy friends when we have conversations about movies and other things. If I could give this show 100 stars I would. Keep up the amazing work guys!!!!! oh and by the way, Friday the 13th part six is my favorite Jason movie.
-
Jr1372đđGreat takes. The two Unfriended films??
-
Booby TuesdayyyUsed to be betterThis show rocks when it sticks to the fun, gory, 80s/90s horror franchises. But having episodes about Final Destination, Alien, etc. is a bit of a bummer. Plus, you have to pay extra to listen to most of the older/better episodes. Thatâs lame.
-
chrisjonesthegreatBrutalSidetracked easily. Hard to listen to
-
JonnnaaayyyyCouldnât even make it through one episode.I was trying to find something relaxing to listen to on my drive to work and I love movies. So while searching, I came across this podcast. I scrolled through the episode list and decided to start with the childâs play episode first. Iâm an hour and a half in and so far theyâve established a few of the actors names, the title of the movie, a little of Charles lee ray and about the voodoo aspect and thatâs about it. Other than that, the hosts get sidetracked way too easily. I normally like to listen to podcasts who stick to the topic at hand and as soon as these hosts started showing their political stance, I ended it there. Itâs a horror movie podcast, leave politics out of it. Anyways, I guess I saved myself a ton of time by only having to sit through an hour and a half.

General JubJubA bloody delight! The only podcast I subscribe to. Found out about it when Paul plugged it at the end of a Doughboys episode. As a big horror fan with a severe dearth of like-minded buddies, it really scratches an itch. Iâve had a ton of fun revisiting all my favorite horror movies with Matt and Paul, and theyâve given me an excuse to watch some classics I havenât seen. Plus, the hosts seem to be having a blast. Highly recommended.
-
T. BlakeSuch a Cozy PodcastLove everything about Matt and Paulâs movie podcast.
-
ChrisHanna00Favorite PodcastI have been enjoying this podcast since it began. Every season is fantastic and they have covered most of the iconic modern horror franchises. I also enjoy the peek into their selections, such as the argument against a Hellraiser or TCM season. Also, real quick, they got a shoutout from Stephen Graham Jones at the end of his new book, which was really cool to see.
-
CrzyctldyPure JoyI simply adore it. Such a coz-fest.

Here for the chucklesMy review was deleted so Iâll write anotherI enjoy the ramblings and find them both hilarious and interesting. Paul and Rust are both a wealth of information regarding the film industry. I always feel like I learned something even if itâs unrelated to the film theyâre reviewing. Iâm not sure why so many people have their panties in a bunch over the hosts getting off topic. To me, thatâs part of the fun and enjoyment of the show. Itâs like listening to two good friends chat about anything and everything. Itâs almost therapeutic in a way. The comments on here that are highly negative are a little sad/hilarious. It sounds like someone is jealous of Matt and Paulâs success and lashing out at them over something extremely small and petty. If you donât like it or the hosts than go somewhere else because your negativity is ruining the cozy vibes! For the rest of us, letâs band together and support the hosts and their amazing show! Also, please consider another non-horror season like Yuppie Nightmare again! That was by far my favorite because as much as I love this pod, I just canât bring myself to watch a lot of these movies because I donât like horror but I like listening to them discuss it (weird, I know).
-
Zachary G.Cozy Cozy CozyMatt and Paul bring cozy to a whole new level. Love this show so so much.

WhatsarsBefore you dismiss the leprechaun franchiseâŚLeprechaun 5: In the Hood Mwah!!! Then again this may be better served on How did this get made.
-
WillythepitbullLike, like, like, likeRustâs uncontrollable use of the word âlikeâmakes this podcast unlistenable. Is he an educated adult or a fourteen year old girl?
-
Dannae42Long-Form and Lovinâ ItJust know what you are getting yourself into (long conversations about really specific stuff) and you wonât be dissatisfied at all! If you download this podcast and your takeaway is âtoo longâ then I hope your employer isnât relying on your reading comprehension skills.

any knickname? With Goolie and PusItâs long and weird and wonderful. Very much for a particular audience. Charming.

wknight7đ¤ŠThe Mark & Brian of horror movie podcasts.
-
N2NOtherLacks focus and they have the memory of goldfishI was initially excited for a podcast about the love of the Friday the 13th franchise but sometimes itâs painful to listen to because the hosts go off on long tangential comedy bits. Some are amusing, most arenât funny at all. Itâs almost as if they donât trust themselves to do any kind of serious discussion about what fans already know is a ridiculous franchise. Then there is the fact that they say they just rewatched the movie and then canât remember character names, murder weapons, or general plot details. Iâm lowering this to one star after attempting to listen to their Deep Blue Sea podcast. Oooof.
-
JbradecichCozy chaos đFeels like listening to my sweet/smart-drama-school crush and my awkward-high-school-band-geek buddy dive deep into âguilty pleasureâ films. If coziness is a feeling youâve ever wanted to exploreâ look no further. Iâve actually put this on at bedtime to drift off in place of white noise or Brian eno⌠and I mean this as the highest compliment. No notes!
-
siebricjwHigh quality cozThese guys have the best chemistry in the bizz. Itâs the only podcast that I can listen to on repeat.
