appalachianalexSuper educational! My therapist recently told me I have spectrum tendencies (I have adhd) so I’ve been listening to a lot of your episodes looking to be educated. I find some much of the content relatable and helpful.

My Name is Nat1234We all have to take care of our nervous systemsI find the information in this podcast so helpful as I’m trying to understand my child who is presenting with neurodiversity across some of life’s experiences. As I have listened I have been filled with gratitude for the availability of this information through the podcast format. This all could be a fantastic book and id never read it. But I can listen and multitask. I enjoy the series of podcasts on a certain topic. Every episode has been helpful.

dusty oldbonesRe: “Abuse, Neglect, and Emotional Pain”When you describe autistic individuals who for some reason “can’t let go of negative experiences” you might want to consider CPTSD… it is not a choice to view interactions through a negative lens if there is trauma.

BontowastakenDiagnosisI’m very interested in getting a diagnosis, but can’t find any resources I can afford. I was hoping to find some help here but I only found two episodes on the subject and one of them was mislabeled and the other wasn’t about finding a diagnosis. It was about how the diagnosis process would play out, which would have been more helpful to doctors who need to know how to diagnose someone. The only advice on starting the process is to make sure you find someone who knows what they’re talking about. Super. I’ll google that. Also the show is called Autism in the Adult but most of the time she’s talking about children.

SssiiitttkkkoooThank you Dr. ReganThank you for an incredible podcast, I regularly re-listen to these over and over. I sent her an email and a week later a brand new episode ON the topic I asked about. That’s SERVICE! Highly recommended!!!

onemillennialbugSuper helpful, see things in a whole new lightThank you so much, Dr. Regan, for this enlightening and uplifting podcast. I’ve been struggling with the signs and symptoms of the autism spectrum, but haven’t had the proper venue to communicate them to others. Now I know that these struggles are not as a result of a failure of motivation on my part, but that they are rooted in neurological differences that stem from development in the brain. As you say, knowing is not the same as doing, and so I hope to put some of these suggestions into action. Thank you again for doing this critically important work.
