I've listened to this podcast for several years. It's not bad, although the hosts make such a concerted effort to spin everything in a positive light it makes it hard to take their analysis seriously at times. I would actually recommend their sister podcast, The Shuttle Pod, for more balanced coverage and analysis of Star Trek.

This is simply the best Trek podcast out there. Tony and Laurie are good people who offer keen analyses and reviews that are comprehensive yet nuanced.

Great coverage all series. It will be missed. Did you hear Captin Boimler say “Warp Me” ???? I love you guys. Can't wait for Section 31.

Absolute must listen for Trek fans!!!!! Such great info, insight, and analysis! …and interviews!!!

Absolutely brilliant. Flowed smoothly. Very funny. Jonathan Frakes did a wonderful job.

The hosts claim to be fans of Star Trek, but every review is full of nit picky complaints about the writing, story line, directing, casting, acting, set design, costumes, you name it. They arrogantly claim that they know how to better create the Star Trek series than the talented people who actually do it.

This show is often a litany of nitpicky complaints but the review of SNW season 2 Ep 2 was the worst I’ve heard.

A great Star Trek podcast with reviews and news, not to mention terrific interviews. The host are obvious fans. You can feel the love. That said, in the midst of all the applause you’ll hear from time to time fair and constructive criticism.

I love listening to Tony and Laurie each week and make it my business to tune in on Friday mornings to hear what they have to say. Whether they’re recapping the latest episode, or talking about news and events in between seasons, they always have an informed, well-balanced, fun take on the Star Trek Universe. They each have their own personal preferences, which they openly acknowledge, but they’re also able to provide insights and analysis that rise above them. Both also have connections within the Trek universe that lead to fun “inside baseball” tidbits, stories and interviews.

They are so knowledgeable, smart, interesting, and engaging. This is my go-to for Trek news and episode reviews.

My 1st exposure to the podcast and it had me shaking my head when one host speculated that the Cardassians would align with the Founders. The Leader of the Founders ordered the extermination of the Cardssian people.

This pod and its companion website have become my favorite fix for Trekkie news and reviews. It’s an exciting time for Star Trek, and I want to talk about it! Sadly, that’s not true for the people in my life, so I rely on Laurie and Tony for the Trek talk. They are clearly fans of the franchise but also offer some industry insights that enrich the experience for me as a listener. I want everyone to love Star Trek, even if they don’t enjoy every series or storyline. This pod is a friendly space to celebrate Star Trek with thoughtfulness, respect, and joy.

I think the show is good but it’s missing a huge opportunity by not allowing the shuttle pod crew to discuss new Star Trek. While I don’t always agree with their critiques, the 4 hosts of the shuttle pod are engaging, dynamic and always make it interesting. At least have them as guest hosts because I’d love to know what they think of Lower Decks and I think their perspectives would bring a great dynamic energy to the show.

I smiled and laughed. Thank you for this podcast, a balanced mix of breaking Star Trek news, gossip, and episode review. Laurie and Tony really hit their stride when joking around about the shows, sharing their deep knowledge of the Trek franchise and specific show insights.
