    A locals perspective
I love this podcast! It has great tips from someone who truly cares about tourists who are visiting Japan. Miyuki is informative, organized, and very helpful. She has great guests too that bring new insights and make me excited to visit Japan! With great focus on the lesser known and visited places you can learn where to go to avoid crowds. And she still tells you how to visit the popular spots too. So you if you want to learn from an insider who really knows her stuff and cares, this is the right place!

    So Helpful!
I reached out to Miyuki after listening to a few episodes, knowing I needed help creating the right journey through Japan. What a pleasure working with her, and listening to these episodes gives me a good perspective on how and what to plan. If you are planning a trip listen for some valuable advice!

    Extremely helpful.
Miyuki’s podcast presents easily digestible tidbits on traveling to Japan. Her itinerary planning services are above and beyond. I’ve used a few similar services to plan trips in the past and Miyuki is the most helpful but far. After some emails and an initial meeting, she developed a detailed itinerary which we reviewed and adjusted together. She then helped advise us on route, accommodations and activities based on our preferences. She really gave personal recommendations that catered to our priorities and steered us towards the most authentic experiences. Our trip is two months away and I feel little anxiety because I know we’ve made excellent decisions with Miyukis help.

a commercial for her class, never talks about Japan, just about herself
literally zero anything interesting, ni real personal travel stories, no real information, just this lady going in and in and onnn about how great she is and how much she knows and hiw everyone should waste 30 more days of their life by paying her for the same stuff anyone can google for free and in shorter time. If you are so knowledgeable, SHOW US don't tell us. This is empty advertisement. So many podcasts that ACTUALLY TALK ABOUT JAPAN. Unfollow.

Essential info for planning a Japan trip!
Miyuki offers a lot of useful information about traveling to and around Japan, and it’s especially interesting to hear it from a local’s perspective. She has a lot of good tips about where to go and what to see, but also digs into more philosophical topics like how to best immerse yourself in the culture and how to approach international travel as an introvert. If you want/plan to go to Japan, you need to listen to this podcast!

I can't wait to return to Japan...
It has been many years since I last visited Japan and this podcast has renewed my desire to return. Miyuki is a wonderful host and her guests are a joy to listen to; each of the 25 topics discussed so far (as of 18 December 2021) provides a great starting point for further investigation. I really look forward to what she has planned for 2022 and beyond.

Japan Experts Will Make You An Expert!
A wide range of topics is introduced by host Miyuki Seguchi who talks with experts in areas such as kimono, kanji (Chinese characters), Japanese swords, yabusame (archery from horseback), puppet theater, and many more. As of the most recent episode (#14), all conversations have been in English with foreign (non-Japanese) experts, I'm hopeful that there will also eventually be conversations in Japanese to aid with language study/immersion. Highly recommended!
